Have been to the salon for a pedicure on several different occasions. I have usually had a good experience except one time last summer when Kathy gave me a pedicure. She cut into my toes with her scissors, gave me such a hard, horrible massage that I actually had bruises on my legs the next day, and left polish on my toes. As if this wasn't all bad enough, she was very rude. I was sure that she would have been let go by now, but I was unfortunate enough to experience another pedicure, if you can call it that, from her on a recent visit back to the salon. The experience definitely hasn't gotten any better. If you choose to go to Lucky Nails in Great Barrington, just make sure that you have someone other than Kathy take care of you. I can't imagine why there are bad reviews. For a moderately priced nail salon, it's very good. I've never had the slightest issue with anyone or anything there. It's not hoity toity, and I like that. We're talking about nails here, ladies, not an organ transplant. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful. I screwed up two nails today, and Kathy was great about redoing them. Read Less

Got eyebrows waxed and was taken right away. 8$. She was quick and skilled and asked me how my day was which was nice. When I pointed out some stray hairs, she tweezed them. I still had one or two strays that I took care of when I got to the car, but nothing I considered negligent. I ordinarily thread in my hometown however I was away so wax was the only option. If I lived closer, I'd consider returning to this location. The only downside is that there is a strange smell, almost moldy rug smell, that's being masked by air fresheners so it kind of impacts the spa experience. Since I was just in and out for eyebrows, it didn't bother me too much but I can't say if I'd sit through a lengthy service like nails or pedicure. Read Less

I didn't have an appointment and they were able to take my girlfriend (mani) and me (pedicure) right away because they have 7 people working.  The place is very clean.  Massage chair was good quality and has a shelf to put your phone or whatever.  Emily was very good. Excellent, long massage. I will definitely come back when I'm in town. Read Less

WORST BIKINI WAX OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER BE BACK!I have had many bikini waxes in my life. Bikini, Brazilian, Hollywood - the works. None have compared to the horrors I experienced here. For starters, I asked for a Brazilian wax and was given a Hollywood wax instead. That was the least of my problems however. I was in so much constant pain I thought I was going to burst into tears throughout the FORTY-FIVE MINUTE ordeal. A wax should never go over half an hour, maximum! The woman clearly had no idea what she was doing - it reminded me of if I'd stayed at home and asked a friend to wax me in my bathroom with a kit from the drug store. I left with wax all over me - even stuck to the bottoms of my feet! The worst part is that I was asked to pay $40 for this privilege! An outrageous price for such a terrible and painful procedure. I had a completely different experience from the previous reviewer (also, polish change is $8... so either things have really REALLY changed or she had other services added on).Anyway, this place is just fine. About standard from what you'd expect from a nail salon of its type. They took me walk-in, were quick, and charged me $18 for a manicure + shellack nail polish removal. I made an appt. I showed up on time. I had to wait 10 minutes and than someone started working on my nails and in the middle got up and started anouther customers nails. I had to sit around anouther 10 minutes to wait till someone else could finish up. They book too many appts and handled it very unprofessionally. Read Less

I'll admit I became riled myself, but when you are in a rush and have made an appointment very clearly lying out what you want and are told that you can come right in and be seen immediately, I find cause for anger. They don't list their prices and when I was charged $20 for a polish change I realized that this was simply so they can charge what they want to new customers based on how they feel about them. It is unheard of for a polish change to cost that much. The place has boundary issues, cleanliness issues, and are clearly dishonest. If you want an infection or to be kept waiting for who knows how long or to be charged based on how much they like you, then I suppose you have found the right spot. If not, there is a place across the street, Seven salon, and Lucky Nails in Lee which are not affiliated with this crap shoot. Proceed with extreme caution. Read Less
