Let me start with the good. Or the fine. It's spacious. Clean-ish. When I've had pedicures, they were good. BUT, and it's a big but, the issue is you cannot make appointments.  I mean you can, technically. The owner will take them. Anytime you want. And when you show up. You will wait.  And wait.  And wait.  This has happened to me three times. And each time I say this is my last time, and today it was. Walked in at 2pm, for a 2pm. Except there were three pedicures in front of me, waiting. And the owner, who is both rude and obnoxious, couldn't care less. "Maybe 30 minutes, maybe more," said the owner with shifty eye contact. Up on vacation for a month in the Berkshires.  This place was recommended by a woman who cut my hair and I'm glad she did.  Roger is the bomb.  He is polite, super efficient and great at what he does.  My appointments were on time and literally finished in lightening time and thorough.  I'll be out in the Berkshires every summer, so I'll be back.  The salon is clean and it looked like happy customers, all around every time.  They are all good at what they do and they book up quick.  Call ahead. Hands down the best in the area. I have tried them all. I always make the 30 plus minute trip when time allows me to get a manicure and pedicure. I highly recommend calling ahead. Roger and Tracey are great together. All of the other employees seem to be just as great. Great atmosphere. The spa pedicure lasts about 1 full hour. It is the best $40.00 dollars I have ever spent. My daughter graduates tomorrow from SR, and my husband and I wanted to treat her to some pampering.  I read the YELP reviews of a few GB nail salons, and I booked her appointment at Happy. The Salon/Spa is conveniently located, easy to find, and parking is plentiful and conveniently located mere steps from their entrance. When we walked in, well, we were SO impressed.   The salon is beautiful :  large, great natural light, immaculately clean and spotless, nice configuration,  quiet, and a very, very pleasant staff.  There is ample, comfortable seating in a lively waiting area. Their menu of services and the prices are clearly displayed; this made it easy for DD to decide on a French white gel manicure, and I told her to go for the spa pedicure. DD and I were greeted as soon  as we walked in the door and the gentleman who greeted us was very pleasant and we felt immediately comfortable. We live just outside of Washington DC in northern Virginia.  I am no stranger to upscale nail salons and spas, and Happy Nail Salon and Spa rivals the Best of the Best in the DC area. My two girlfriends and I came here yesterday afternoon and had made appointments for pedicures at 4:30. They had three seats ready for us but the staff was not ready to start. We weren't in a rush so it didn't matter to us. The staff was very friendly and did a good job with our pedicures. We would definitely come back again! Read Less

So much nicer and upscale than Lucky Nails across the street in the Kmart Plaza. This is set back near the Meat Market and Haven.Calm, soothing and like the other local places a whopping 40 bucks for a mani- pedi !!!Yet people were waiting , despite this steep price.My daughter felt that the gentleman took his time and did a very nice job. Shortly after a 2 nails needed a touch up and he had them fixed in a very timely manner. I would recommend Happy Nails if you are in the area and don't mind spending double that you would back home. I had an appointment for 12:30 for a pedicure and full set, got here on time and got my pedicure. After that I was told to sit down and wait. I waited about 30 minutes as the man did a manicure on a woman who just walked in- that he clearly knew. I understand respecting consistent clients but when that gets in the way of someone who made an APPOINTMENT, it becomes unprofessional and inconsiderate. I'm still sitting here waiting to be called for my manicure- 30 minutes later. Very unprofessional and condescending when I politely asked if he knew about how much longer it would be. It was made way too apparent that they only care about their consistent customers and anyone else is certainly less of a priority. Considering walking out with just my pedicure at this point. I just left - very happy with the service. I got the herbal pedicure and a french gel manicure from one of the ladies.  She spent a ton of time with me and the lines on the French are some of the best I've ever had and I'm very particular about that. All of the folks working there today seemed to be very thorough and attentive to their clients' needs.  I've gotten manicures in almost all 50 states and many other countries and this is in the top five for thoroughness, technique, and pleasant overall experience. First time in my life I have ever had a manicure and then gone home and frantically searched for anything to cut and file my nails down with myself.  Really, I just cut three of my nails.I didn't even want polish (the easiest manicure of the day!), just a simple manicure, clean up the cuticles a bit, and what I left with were 10 nails that had been previously nicely-shaped but are now creepy long ovals and not even all in the same direction.  Some are filed to the left, some to the right.... weird.  Creepy.Then the man who was doing my nails asked me something, and I was embarrassed that I didn't quite understand him (it was during the hand massage), so I nodded.  Next thing I knew he was buffing my nails (OK, they are shiny) which I guess meant I agreed to pay $5 more?  Wow.  10 shiny vampire-esque nails.Just cut three, filed them waaaay down (which I could have done myself at the beginning, I suppose) and will see my regular manicurist on Newbury St in Boston in a few days to fix the whole thing. Nice, clean, open space with lots of natural light. Chairs and equipment all relatively new and in good shape. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I paid $40 for a standard mani pedi. Definitely recommend an appointment.Wish there were more nail colors! Overall a pretty limited selection. But they really took their time and did a nice job.FYI they only have UV dryers even if you don't get gel. Read Less
