I've been to Victoria's Nails several times- typically a mediocre and rushed service that I always hope will get better, but not bad enough to write about. This last time though, my experience merited a review for another reason.I was treating my mother to a pedi and I had one as well. When I went to pay, the woman who did my toes (was also the woman taking payment) first insisted on cash. I didn't have enough to cover both pedis, so I handed her a credit card. "No American Express", she said. OK, so I gave her a different card. She rung it up: $54. As I was about to add the tip to the sales slip, she said: "no no, tip cash". A little surprised and annoyed (I rarely keep cash on me), I agreed and handed her 6 bucks. She looked at it, frowning, then at me and said: "More". Confused, I asked her if the pedi costs more, or was $6 not enough of a tip? My mom didn't even get polish. She says again: "Tip more, you need to give me more, $6 more", and points to my open wallet where she sees some bills peaking out. As she gestures, she's practically touching my wallet. There's more some back and forth with her insisting and my refusing. At that point I'm so taken aback by her rude and entitled behavior, I close my wallet, and say "Sorry, but a tip is for the customer to decide on, not you, and I'm really not obliged to leave anything", and start to leave. Perhaps thinking it's a cash issue, she tries again: "No cash? Then you put more on credit card", and grabs the credit card slip that I've already signed. Now I'm worried she will write in her own tip, so I take the ticket, write a zero on the tip line, and walk out.Since when do businesses tell their customers how much to leave in tips??? I'm flabbergasted, and with hindsight, I should have taken the cash back as well. Needless to say, this place has lost two clients. Read Less
