First off, drive an hour to get a facial from Kara.. heard good things and went for it and soooo - I went for it! Wow- magic. She's so talented. I have an autoimmune disease that causes me to be very sensitive to chemicals and touch. I received a holistic organic facial and my face looks 5 years younger! Fresh clean and I literally went into a trance like state. MAGIC! Her touch is firm but comforting- felt so relaxed- it the best facial I ever had! Then my hair is (was)... desperate- mean desperate! Kara quickly found me a stylist that would switch her schedule and accommodate my hair cut. Andrea had a lot to deal with. She was accommodating Tommy schedule and long list of items that I had. Being sick isn't easy and I stopped getting hair cut because I'd get burnt or too many products. She totally understood and my hair was was a delight! Since my illness self care has taken a back seat and driving isn't easy. So appreciative of the switch and my hair is AMAZING! She also had to deal with my thinning ratty hair, and transformed it into silk! It's great! My 15 year old son even noticed my hair cut- just the right amount off and no burn marks! Feels great, looks amazing and changes not just your look outside but inside! Feel so pampered! The salon is beautiful, clean, friendly, professional but not fu fu. It is worth the drive- and the facial room is quiet and separate- totally a treat and a must now for my personal care. Definitely doing that again, might even do eye lash tinting by Kara? Had an amazing facial with Kara! Where to start. The place is beautiful, clean and friendly. Kara was very professional and has a great personality. Addressed areas of concern and then the magic happened! I went into a retreat trance and it was great. My face is supple and looks clean and fresh. She was able to get me a quick trim and blow dry with Andrea and my hair is like silk. Perfect trim. Great blow dry, I usually get burnt and it was so relaxing and looks amazing! Stacy and Vicki were both so awesome and gave me amazingly pleasant service. I booked a really last minute haircut and color and I have EXTREMELY stubborn Asian hair, but I walked out feeling like a new person. Everything from the initial consultation, to the shampoo/massage and cut and color and blowdry was absolutely fantastic. I got a tea tree hair mask while shampooing that felt super great, and although they didn't have the exact shade of red I had wanted to dye my hair, Stacy (the hairstylist) combined some colors to give me just what I wanted. Stacy makes sure that you walk out feeling happy and good about yourself and took the time to ask and make sure my hair ended up the exact way I wanted it to be. I was worried because not a lot of hairstylists have experience with ethnic hair, but she did perfect! When I walked in, I had a terrible discolored mop of a mess of hair on my head, but I walked out with shiny, beautifully deep auburn red hair and I couldn't be happier. I went here over the summer and showed the women a picture of how I wanted balayage. The woman completed bleached the bottom half of my hair and was clearly not what the picture looked like and was also not the balayage style like I had said. The blonde color did not match AT ALL and was so extreme to the color of my roots. Awful job. Also, just heard from a friend who went here today and same horrible results. I go to Stacy for everything: cut, color, updo, etc. She takes great care of my hair and always answers my questions. She makes sure the processes aren't too harsh for my bleached hair and will recommend something different if it will compromise the integrity of my hair. Even if you just go for a wash and blow out, i would recommend Stacy...her shampoo skills and scalp stimulation are SO relaxing. When I went to Stacy and told her I wanted hair like Barbie...oh boy she delivered! I constantly get compliments on my hair because of Stacy. She's the best! Read Less

I made an appointment with Stacy for a J Beverly Hills Re-alignment Keratin Treatment this past Wednesday. She was awesome and this treatment is beyond amazing! My hair is not only super thick, frizzy and super long, but it's impossible to get to look half way decent. After this treatment, I felt like I had a new head of hair! The real test was the first wash....I washed it right before bed and went to bed with it soaking wet. The next morning, I was able to pin my bangs back and WEAR IT DOWN!! This never ever happens! Went for a leg wax with Mindy - I should have walked out but I'm sure the ladies will understand, when you have to show your legs that same night, you don't risk not being able to get an appt somewhere else. Here are the issues that will not have me going back: I stopped going to Sage several years ago because of poor experiences. I've read good reviews here so decided to give them another try in their new location. The table covering was dirty, absolutely filthy,  had wax all over it and some unidentifiable stains, the pillow was equally dirty - no way I was putting my head on it. I had to ask her to please either change the covering or put a clean covering over it.She finally put paper over it - at least it was clean paper. I'm still scraping the wax off my skin, I understand that you sometimes get a little left over wax here and there - I've never had the amount of wax left on me that I do after this experience, even with all that wax, she somehow managed to miss a 3" strip from ankle to above knee. The room was dark but she had a lighted magnifying glass that she never used - just a really poor job. She spoke poorly about other clients that she has and told me some things that others may not want her talking about, I don't go to hear stories about other clients, I don't know them and it doesn't effect my life but I definitely think if you're throwing them under the bus, you're going to do it to me too. No personal information coming from my side that's for sure. Just an overall poor experience, not a great salon, not a high end salon that's for sure but I certainly remember why I left them years ago. Read Less

Slowest manicure ever. Waited 25 min past my appointment time before I was taken. Then it took an hour for a regular manicure. Then I finish up to find there are no fans to dry with so..... what the heck are you supposed to do with your wet nails????Only reason 2 stars instead of 1 is because the people are really nice. I went to Sage a few months ago for the first time. The receptionist I spoke with was very kind, helpful and understanding.  I had explained to her how particular I am with my hair, and she referred me to their master stylist Danielle. Right from walking in the door the staff was very welcoming. After a thorough consultation (she asked questions no hairdresser ever considered asking me regarding how I like my hair...impressed). She offered me an array of beverages before heading off to mix my colors. While listening to everyone around me, I realized the atmosphere is very inviting. Everyone was contributing in telling me of best places to shop, restaurants, and places to bring my kids for fun. It felt like I was with a bunch of siblings who got along.Fast forward to my hair... It came out AMAZING and felt really healthy. The bonus was that she gave such a wonderful head massage to. She's also very consistent. Both times here I've been very satisfied. On my most recent visit I had also seen Tania for my brows. She was a delight! She knew what she was doing and my brows accented my eyes beautifully. She took her time and really made sure that she gave me a good shape. I love this salon! These ladies were such a great find. I'm looking forward to my next visit with Danielle and Tania.
