Just moved to the area and went in to get my nails done on a Sunday. The owner ,i believe, was telling a younger employee to tell me the wait was going to be 20 minutes I said ok, then after 10 minutes said they didn't have the kind of nails I wanted. I said that's fine I'll do gel. While 3 other employees were available standing around talking she advised me that the wait will be thirty minutes. I said ok that's fine and waited. Another employee finishes with a customer and joins the others to talk. Another customer walks in without an appointment and they assisted her with in minutes. The woman kept making up excuses in order for them to not do my nails. I now consider that location prejudice due to how I was treated. I had more than enough money to pay for the lack of services they did have to offer and was very friendly while speaking to the employee. Awful! I got a full gel acrylic set on a Friday and 2 fell off by the following Monday! I dont do any crazy work for them to be falling off that quickly! Not pleased. Wouldn’t recommended or waste time/money here. Read Less

WOW just had the worst experience at a nail salon.... my place I normally go to was booked but I was desperate to get them filled badly in time for the weekend so I went to this place since it was closer but but ive never been to this place so i didnt know what to expect... first of all it wasnt thst clean everything was so dusty looking because of the acrylic powder but it doesnt look like they dust the place daily to keep up with appearance...walked in at 6pm they took me right away but i didnt leave the place til 7:30!!! ... they took forever to do everything and on top of it didnt even know how to shape my nails into the almond shape I walked in with... she asked me if i could shape them because she didnt know how to do it. I was so frustrated but continued to be nice because i know how tough customers can be sometimes and ruin your day... i didnt want to be that person because the lady was older and so sweet... but my blood was boiling inside lol.. they still had the nerve to charge me $30 which i was pisssssssed about but still kept a smile on my face and paid .... they asked if they could take a picture after i was thinking to myself "are you serious? Came in to get gels off and a quick manicure and they scrapped my nails and wanted to take a very coarse emery board to the remaining gel. Then they argued with me about doing a quick manicure. I left with my nails a mess and very unhappy. Find another place. I never leave reviews, but this place was awful. Read Less

If I could give this nail salon no stars I would this was absolutely the worst service I ever had. They didn't even have one nail specialist on staff to do acrylic nails. I went with three others the first thing we had said was two acrylic full sets and two shallac sets and four pedicures. They said no problem they took two of use for pedicures immediately we sat in the chairs for about ten mins before the even turned on the water. Two more people came in the sat them in additional chairs and began working on them before us and we where there first and had waited an additional 45 mins to even received the pedicure which they then rushed through the pedicure they advised us the couldn't even do our fullset instead of allowing us to choose to go to another salon so we could get the service we came in for they allowed us to believe that we would be able to get the services we expected. Not even that they started working on my friend and in the middle of her pedicure not once not twice but several times would stop working on her and work on another person so not only did we wait for a service the was terrible they weren't properly staffed and they had horrible customer service and allowed us to get services knowing the couldn't assist with all services we required for that specific occasion. I will never give them my business again I was horrified and they new we were unsatisfied with the services and didn't appoligize for our inconvenience. Read Less

Yikes.  That's all I can say about this one.  I came in with my 4 year old daughter to get manicures and pedicures.  What they did for her was fine - she's four after all - but my experience was a lot different.  The pedicure tub was just rinsed out between clients, not actually washed.  Subpar pedicure all together. The worst part was when I sat to do my shellac manicure, the woman was doing three of us at once (like we were an assembly line) - using the same tools and files and never once cleaned the nail dust off her hands before moving to the next one of us. I wouldn't even give it one star the messed up my friends nails mine were all bumpy and I paid $83 for gel and they rushed and the polish chipped and one of my nails fell off and it's only been a little over a week!! NEVER GO HERE THEY SUCK!!!! Read Less

Two friends and I were told to come in and we would all be able to have mani/pedis. By the time two pedicures were finished they had not started on my friend's nails. The man giving my other friend a pedi took a nail file from the trash to file her toes. Nobody washed their hands in between clients. Absolutely horrid experience here.  Firstly, I come from an area with no shortage of nail salons (even ones with regular mani/pedi for $25) AND I am also decently good at doing my own nails.A regular mani/pedi at California nails will run you $30. Though this was inexpensive relative to the area, it was $5 more than my usual.  In spite of this, my expectations for this establishment were still low. Their nail polish rack was underwhelming - nearly no recognizable brands.Immediately after leaving the salon, the nail polish on one's of my fingers slid off completely almost as if it were gel. 2 days post manicure, the skin around my nails began peeling back and the polish just looked awful. If this is there one next door to Auto Zone... I had the worst experience. An older lady who may be the owner didn't smile once. She was in such a rush to do my manicure that she cut me twice. I actually went back thinking it was an anomaly and she was exactly the same way. Rude and acted as though I was an imposition. I don't recommend this place. And I will never go there again. Best service! Best quality! Best price! I have been coming to California Nails in FH for years and I won't go anywhere else. I've tried other nail salons and am always disappointed when I spend twice as much and my manicure lasts  1/2 as long. I am never disappointed at California Nails! My shellac lasts 3 weeks and my pedicures (literally) last for months! I also can't say enough about the friendly service - I am always greeted with a smile! Read Less

Honestly this place was great. A little Messy doesn't mean dirty, it means busy which isn't surprising. They had fun conversations with me and they have more color choices for gel than most places, and the prices can't be beat! My gel polish looks better than it does when I pay $15 more! I'm with Konstance K. I hate this place and still end up coming at least once a summer. But only because it's convenient and cheap, not because they do a good job or have good ambience. I don't know what the previous (slightly racist) reviewer is talking about.  I went into this salon recently when I was back home and was very impressed. These manicurists actually take they're time!  And they make sure everything is dry before they kick out out like so many salons do. This is such a friendly place too.  It's a great salon to relax at.I loved my manicure and I was told recently that they have facials so I am going to go back soon! Read Less

The place is never visually clean; presume their instruments and foot tubs aren't sterilized either. Mani or pedi, I feel man-handled. The manicurists  frequently 'take their eyes off the road" and talk way too much to each other in a language they presume their customers don't understand. Mocking, staring and snickering about your fat customers is universal, no interpreter needed here!No charge, either, to watch the blaring cartoons alongside the employees' runny nosed kids who sit on the floor eating Doritos. And be sure to sit in the pedicure chair next to the sleeping older teenage son of the owner. He snores! Read Less

THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY, THEY MESS UP YOUR NAILS TO THE POINT WHERE YOU WILL WANT TO RIP THEM OFF RIGHT THEN AND THERE. This nails salon is horrible. People working there are not friendly at all, they turn your hands very hard and almost hurt you. They are talking to you without respect and they never listen what you are asking for.The job done is very bad. The nails are uneven, the polish has bubbles.They don't say hello, thank you or goodbye and they even spend the time on their phone while they are working on your nails.I really do not recommend this salon, prices are cheap but still too expensive for what they do !!!!I went there several times because it is really convenient for me, but today was the last day!!
