I went to this salon when it first opened up and gave it glowing reviews. Came back to have then done for a wedding to have gel nails and they started chipping a day later. It’s a good nail salon I have got a pedi done there it was amazing but too overpriced. This time I got acrylic and I DO NOT recommend going there for acrylic I got my nails done 3 days ago and already 5 nails have fell off . NEVER coming here to do my acrylics . Also the paint job was not what I wanted I wanted matte nails and they gave me glossy nails . They didn’t even mentioned they didn’t have matte . So now my nails look like Christmas nails in spring . DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have been doing my nails consecutively for nearly over 7 years and by far this is the worst experience I've had. I started going here since they first opened and they did an amazing job! I received a gel manicure from a young man who paid extreme attention to detail. However, I was blown away they don't soften your cuticles before they trim them and most of the time, they trim them COMPLETELY DRY! That wasn't the issue in the beginning. I went back 2 more times and had my nails done by Leah and she was also great. After going there 3 times, my nails become extremely thin! They buff your nails way too much and almost down to the skin! It was so painful! The man I had do my nails the last time was the WORST I EVER HAD! He was rude and he said my nails were too thin. I've been going to the same nail tech for years and she's able to manage my nails very well and do her part! He also couldn't even paint. I asked him to cut my cuticles and he said no. Today after a couple months, I went there again and it was an older woman who did my nails! SHE WAS TERRIBLE! She didn't even file my nails nicely, they're all bumpy and rough around the edges! My cuticles look CRAZY! And she left loose nail polish on my skin and didn't even bother to clean it up! Although the price is $30 for a gel manicure, it does make sense because they do give you a 3 minute warm towel massage and wax mask for your hand, however I'd rather have my nails look great and pay the normal $25 than have my nails look scary with the spa treatment! I'm never going there again! I also signed up for a rewards program at first and it was $5 to sign up and after $90 you get $5 off. This place has gone down hill fast since they first opened!  When I first started going to them, they offered a "rewards" program and I was taken in by the little extras that they threw in like the shoulder massage and dipping my hands in paraffin wax.  The last time I went to 4 Nails & Spa was the last time I will ever go there!  The lady who did my mani/pedi TORE my cuticles and I had scabs on my fingers and toes (I'll spare you the photographs...although they could serve as a warning...).  Buyer beware!  If you get the spa pedicure with the essential oils that cost $65, apparently, that does NOT include polish!  Seriously?!  They charged me $125 for a mani/pedi that I could have gotten much cheaper (and better) elsewhere!  The loyalty program is a joke, too.  I'm due for a manicure but I will not be going here. I wish I could get my money back. While the service was good, I was very frustrated that they don't use anything to soften the cuticles. Literally my pedicure technician was pulling at my cuticles while she trimmed them. When I asked for something to help ( like gel or cream) they told me they use oil - i guess my tech forgot? When I got my mani, the service was great but AGAIN they trimmed my cuticles without gel AND they didn't even soak my nails to soften them naturally. Have you ever trimmed your cuticles dry? Hopefully not. It sucks and it's super uncomfortable - bordering painful. When I asked if the tech could use oil, I was told they can't use it because my gel paint won't set.... why they don't use a gel like 90% of all nail shops is beyond me. If you want a great pedicure, this is the place to go. However if you want a manicure of any type, I'd go elsewhere. I've gotten a pedicure here 3 times. Twice a normal one, and once I got the spa one. They were both lovely and so many amazing extras are included for a decent price - hot stones, parrafin wax, etc.Since I loved my pedicure experiences I figured I'd go for a gel manicure. I originally wanted a full set, but after seeing that a full set was $45 I chose otherwise - I've had acrylics before and know plenty of places I can get an excellent full set for $30 or under. So I decided on a gel manicure, after being sat and my previous color removed, the girl working on me started doing the same for another client. But after she removed the polish on the other client she continued with her new color change, leaving me there just sitting as she finished this other customers entire manicure.Eventually another worker came to me, and after a number of mess ups (she seemed unsure of what she was doing the whole time) I was finished. Well it started chipping the next day, and I'm writing this a week later with nails that are so chipped they look like they were done with normal nail polish, not gel. I give 3 stars because I love the clean and sleek environment, and they have the best pedicures around, but I'll continue going elsewhere for my nails. Read Less

New to the area, I wanted to find a reasonably priced nail salon for my daughter and I.  First of all, I love that they make appointments. We had an 11:30 and had to wait about 20 minutes before we got into a chair, but since it took my daughter nearly that long to pick colors despite getting there about 7 minutes early, it was fine. We opted for the bare bones, regular mani/pedi. Not sure what else they could possibly include with spa tho, because we BOTH got the works. One of my biggest pet peeves about kids mani/pedi is when they paint the kids nails at the pedi chair. No real manicure...since kids usually only run about $10 cheaper, I expect them to get some special treatment. I was really happy to learn she got the leg massage with lotion, the hand massage AND a warm towel back massage. The only difference for her, she did not get the parafin wax. It's not the cheapest, but its comparable for this area and its much more like a SPA then just a nail salon without the crazy spa costs. Probably one of the BEST manicures I've ever gotten. And the perks, make it even better.  The pedi wasn't perfect, but I think I need to make my preferences a little clearer and then I would be happier. My daughter was thrilled with both services, but especially her kitty design (included in her price). Bottom line, I think we found our new nail spa! Fantastic, fantastic service. I had a full acrylic set done, and my mother-in-law got a gel manicure and a standard pedicure. I've never had such an attentive and professional nail technician. Leah was marvelous, and if I lived closer I would be here all the time. Do not get any type of waxing service. My daughter is being treated for a "chemical burn" because the bikini wax that she got was so hot and the product was obviously not skin friendly. My daughters skin is not sensitive and now has burns that will leave scars. NEVER AGAIN Read Less

Just got my 2nd gel manicure here and I couldn't be more pleased! The service is great and the quality is great. My gel manicure lasted about 2 and a half weeks without chipping. I will be back here again! Prices seem right in line with other salons too. Read Less

The staff is very nice and a lot is included. When you get a manicure and pedicure they give massages and they do a treatment for your hands and feet. My only recommendation I have is don't get your nails painted with the regular acrylic polish. My manicure cost me $25 and started to chip as soon as I got home. :( Otherwise, it's a nice salon! Loved it!  Sitting here now waiting for my toes to dry.  My regular place was closed so I figured I would give this one a try,.  It was super clean, the service was good, and the pedicure was one of the best I have ever gotten.  I did upgrade to a spa type pedi for $65, but I was serviced for 90 minutes...Foot & leg massage, scrub, callous removal, paraffin wax heal treatment,  normal nail services, all ending with a brief shoulder massage.  The only reason I didn't give five stars is that I watched a couple people get the basic pedicure and it was pretty quick.  Still done with care, but seemed short for $30. Currently sitting letting my feet dry after an hour long relaxing pedicure. Prices are a little higher than places around here but worth the little bit extra. They do timed massages and sanitize everything. They take a lot of precaution to keep everything sterilized and looking brand new. Then! I got ANOTHER massage as my feet started drying. A bit of polish got on my big toe, and they immediately redid my polish. Their attention to detail, cleanliness, and friendly staff is what makes it worth the price and the drive. Came back to MA for a wedding. Waited last minute to get anything done so I didn't even bother making an appointment. I was a walk in on a Friday afternoon, sat about 15 mins but I suggest making an appointment, that place was SO SO busy. Had a basic mani pedi but oh my, they certainly take their time, but in a good way! The gentleman who did my pedi took his time, was very precise and it felt nice to not be rushed especially since it was just a basic nothing fancy with the polish/designs etc. Mani was also basic polish but the time the next guy took on each finger was surprising, made me feel like I was actually getting my money's worth for serviceBest part the neck/shoulder massage they give you after your service, it wasn't a massage parlor massage but it was nice for the short five minutes especially with the warm towel they use!Prices are average I paid $50 before tip for the basic mani/pedi, they charged $5 to remove the gel polish from my toes, not that it took that much longer or extra products used to do so but oh well. Good, clean, modern salon, great for basic & shellac manicures and pedicures only. NOT a good place for sculpted nails. Your initial set will come out very nice but beware of fills. I left with nails WAY thicker than they ever should be - thicker than even cheap press-on nails. Gross. I will have to fix my nails myself as when I asked for them thinner or skinnier, they said they couldn't do it. They also seemed extremely inconvenienced when I requested for them to scrub a bit longer during my pedicure. This place opened back in February and started with great customer service. I've finally found an area nail salon I love! This place is brand new and clearly has taken a note or two from nail salons in other areas of the country. It's clean, it's not cluttered with pictures of bad 90's manicures on the walls and the staff is very friendly. The TV isn't blaring in the background and it's not crowded. I love the clean lines and basic black and white decor. It just feels serene and relaxing. I got a mani/pedi yesterday. They offer top of the line spa pedicures as well as a basic pedicure. The basic pedicure is not on the menu they hand you and is $30, but it's listed on the wall. I chose a spa pedicure though and it lasted well over an hour, ($65 but they start at $45). I'm happy to pay more for a pedicure and this one was worth it. The nail technician was thorough and meticulous. I also had a manicure for an extra $15 and that came with a heavenly shoulder and neck rub, plus a paraffin treatment on my hands. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before this place is discovered by the locals and it becomes harder and harder to get in without an appointment, but for now I'll enjoy how quiet it is! :)Also, this just echoes sentiments I've written in other reviews - people here WILL pay more for good services. This is such a nice area...now all we need is an awesome wine bar in Westport or Dartmouth. Maybe next door to this nail salon...so all my dreams can come true. ;) Read Less

I went there with a friend and we enjoyed our experience. Anna was my nail tech, she was very friendly. I got the basic pedi and gel mani. I love about this place is that everything is clean. I started with a pedi and it was enjoyable. She put a hot oil on the bottom of my foot and it made my feet feel so smooth. After that, I got a gel mani, she took all the cuticles and made sure that the gel top coat wasn't on the skin, everything was precise. She proceeded to put a parafix wax after and I enjoyed it. I just found my new nail salon! This place is super clean and has a lot of pedicure stations as well as a very nice waxing room. I went and received a manicure and got my eyebrows done during my lunch hour. During my manicure I got a back massage and hot hand wax! They were so nice and I really enjoyed the entire experience. Very close to Umass Dartmouth, in the plaza next to Walgreens. If youre looking for a clean, friendly environment for a nail salon and spa, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed! Read Less
