I should of read the reviews before i went. I went for a matte finish.. I called ahead and specifically said I did not want opi top matte gel coat, it is not matte (its more like semi gloss). I asked for gel nails with regular matte finished, on the phone she said we will do it. When I asked her for the matte finish, she said she couldn't do it, that she can only use gel matte top coat. They are liars, and just to get me there told me what i wanted to hear.. I'm very unhappy with my nails. Never going back... poor costumer service, liars, and do not give clients what they want.. there are plenty of nails salons, make a better choice!!! Read Less

I've been going here for a couple of years and have received excellent, good and ok service depending on the nail tech. I actually found the one I believe does an excellent job and I only schedule with her when I need a mani and pedi other times last minute drop ins I did not receive the best service it was ok. But other wise it's friendly, nice, clean, and always busy. Read Less

This place constantly changes its prices. I have been going to his place for years, and each time I get my nails and eye brows done, the price that I am charged varies. One set of prices are located in their pamphlet displayed at the door on the table, but the woman or man who does your nails will provide with you with something different. I usually dont care to write reviews. But due to the heart break I experienced while seeing the nails I had grown and maintained for months get buzzed away with no regard! The pain I have felt every time I hit my nail bed or just looking at them now and how I have no nails to scratch myself if I wanted to is completely heartbreaking. I had read the reviews before but I like to give people and things benefit of the doubt. Well now I see how accurate some of these reviews were. I could tell the woman knew she had fuhh up with my nails as she tried to tell me many times that she would fix it and not to worry. What she meant by fixing is that she would just put a coat of overlay of my broken, damaged nails and nail bed. While most manicurist who cared would opt not to put anything on my nails until they healed a bit.I had to be the manicurist to say that to her. Tomorrow for work, I will have to buy those glued on nails to glue on as my nails are not presentable at all. If you care for your nail growth and health STAY AWAY! These people do not care for your nails or the health of your nails. They speak in their own language as the one being spoken to stares at you. Never had such a bad nail experience in my life. It was so awful I'll never go back. I called prior to going in to inquire about the prices. When I asked whether or not it would be an additional fee for length and shape I was told no. So I decide to go in. (I'm fully away some places charge extra for that but some don't and I have called 2 before that had so I figured I'd go with fancy since over the phone they told me they didn't) I walk in and the manager points me to the next available technician. I sit down and she starts working on my nails, she asked how long I wanted it and what shape, I showed her a pic of coffin nail with mid length shape. She cuts it down and starts working on it. By the time she's half way done, the manager tells the technician to tell me, to keep my nails mid length it will cost more money. So I say no, cut them shorter, she literally cuts it to my natural length size and at this point it doesn't even look like coffin nails. So I just tell her i don't like it so please remove it so I can go to another place.The miscommunication isn't even the bad part of the story. To remove the nails she takes a nail clipper and starts cutting the nails off almost removing my damn nail bed. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. Now I know why this only has 2 and half stars. If I could give a zero star I would. The first time I went in  everything was normal I got a shellac French and it was nice lasted long and the shape that I wanted. This time. Omg I got a different lady second seat first row when you enter. She clearly didn't understand Me. I wanted coffin nails. And I got square with rough edges after showing photos and her saying okay. So I could get over the shape being wrong but then I explained that I wanted gel over the shellac. Gel overlay. And she didn't understand what I said and kept calling shellac the gel. I said no I need the next level up stuff. My nails are bending. And then I was told by her and another associate that it was expensive. And I shouldn't get. Who are they to judge what I can afford. I know it cost more to add as I've had it done in our salons. Anyway I was like forget it at least a nice shellac will make my day but NOPE she cut me four different times causing me to bleed. After I told her to stop and it hurt she continued. The entire process she used the CUTICLE CUTTER the serious clippers not meant for everyone for every step of the way. To cut my nails down. To cut my Cuticles. To take paint off my skin etc. I said please don't use that it hurts all she said was sorry. I paid my tab and even tipped when they deserved nothing. Unclean, untrained, unlicensed nail technicians, piss poor excuse for a manicure. The kid who was probably fresh out of high school, used a kitchen microplane to shave off my dead skin, after expressing that it hurt and to stopHe gently tickled my feet with it. I should have walked out but I felt bad for the kid. I'm still calloused and paint job is lumpy and bumpy from my unbuffed nails and less than skills. I have been looking for a new nail salon over the past couple of weeks. I tried Miniluxe and had an awful experience so was about to go back to my old salon that I didn't have a problem with. I really wanted a french ombre though and they do not do it. After searching the internet for days and asking people for advice I stumbled across Fancy Nails. I called and made an appointment and they offered me the same day for a full set french ombre & a pedicure, at 5:30 which was 2 hours away so I was wicked excited! I got there super early and killed time by heading to Home Goods & TJ Maxx. (dangerous!!) haha... I ended up going in early anyways and they took me right away!! My toes and nails look absolutely gorgeous and it took only about an hour and a half. I will definitely be back to see Lisa! She did an amazing job, I can't stop looking at my nails!!! :) Read Less

The worst nail salon ever! Dirty and rude and only one person knows how to do powder nails and she is never there. Went there for a re-touch and the guy who "took care of me" was beyond rude and kept hurting my nail and finger. He filed my nail completely and now my nails are not even. Every time I've gone I've had at least one toe bleed. They never take you at the appt time and the waiting area is always filled with someone's kids. I know that is not the salon's fault and the parents should make the kids get up or not take their kids at all. I was just there to give them one last chance because they're so close to where I live and a woman came in with a cane. Every seat was taken by someone's kid and nobody got up for this woman. Stopped in for a gel polish change. I had the previous polish soaked off but the tech was in a hurry to leave because it was evening time and she tried to use the drill and a scraper rather than wait for the acetone to work. Terrible customer service. They don't care about the customer they only care for your money. I had gel done Friday, May 5th. I went back the next Friday because my hair was getting stuck under my nails and it was chipping. They did not even last a full week. The lady then tried to make me leave with my left hand an off white and my right hand a bubble bath color. When I asked to get them all the same color she told me I would be charged 28$. The actual design of the salon is pretty legit. Brand new and not dingy looking like most salons. The staff is super nice and very welcoming  but the only reason I'm giving this place a single star is because of the service. This was my first time getting my nails done here and I'm very disappointed :( I decided to get a Dip Powder manicure after hearing so many good reviews and to my dismay it's only been a week and my manicure is already lifting! I never like telling people how to do their job because I for one absolutely hate it when it happens to me but I asked the girl doing my nails to not apply the polish so close to my cuticles because I was afraid that it would lift from the edges. Low and behold here we are a week later with an expensive manicure that has completely lifted around the edges. This wasn't a $10 manicure either so yes I'm even more annoyed that i wasted almost $40 on a manicure that only lasted a week. I will not be going back to this salon. Read Less

$28 for pedicure? And they don't want to give me the price list? Why? They removed it and if you ask for it, they say they don't have one! How is that possible and why is a regular pedicure so expensive? I've been to many different nail salons and I'd pay for both pedi-mani less than here! Came in for a fill & a pedicure on a busy afternoon, the place was packed & I was a walk in but I didn't even have to wait 15 minutes which was great! My pedicure was very well done, the massage was the longest I've received at a salon & she really went in on my rough areas so my feet are baby smooth. My fill was done very quickly so I was worried they wouldn't come out good but they look alright, I wish she would've made sure they were ALL the same shape/length & also it would've been nice if she would've cleaned up my cuticles.. I'm not leaving 5 stars cuz I'm not completely happy with my nails but still pretty good! This is my favorite nail salon. I can always trust it's going to be a good manure or pedicure.  They have a great color selection.  The staff are kind, nice and pleasant.  I've never doubted their cleanliness, even when busy.  It's definitely my favorite nail salon in the Boston areaPrices are pretty average for the services, I think it's $27 for a gel manicure which is pretty standard in Boston. Had been hesitant to try out this nail salon because of the multiple negative reviews here on Yelp, but decided to give it a shot for a gel manicure. They did such an amazing job! I will definitely be coming back. The salon is clean, they have plenty of employees working so you aren't waiting around. I didn't catch my manicurist's name, but she really took her time and my gel manicure looks perfect. She was meticulous and didn't leave behind any stray polish like other places tend to do. Shes the owner provides great customer service and she has the best product and tries to get you what you want. I love her and all the workers here. Great environment very relaxing pedicures. I have had one too many bad experiences here. I had my prom 2015 fake nails done here, and they came out in a odd square shape. Then when I've got them removed a couple of times, I told them it hurt. All I got as a response "yeah almost done". Then prom 2016 I had a gift card, so I got gel nails. Two days later they peeled off. Not very friendly either. Wouldn't recommend it!! Read Less

Well I just had the worst experience ever at a nail salon. I had a 12:00 apt got there at 11:30 to see if they had time to do a pedicure first it started out the women kept punching me with the tools kept smudging the nail polish and what should have taken a half hour took an hour. I asked for a design so she couldn't do one so the owner did it. I could have did what she did a bunch of dots in a circle to make a flower. So then I moved on for my nails I expressed that I wan...ted them shaped like the women that normally does my nails I also expressed how unhappy I was with the quality of my pedicure and the time it took. Well not one of my nails are shaped the same and she skimped so much on the product I do pink acrylic with pink instead of pink and white and she skimped so much that after filing them the ends had no color acrylic left on them so now I spent two hours of my time and not one nail is shaped the same its unfortunate that I love my normal waiting but most likely Will not go back.
