This is my favorite nail place in my area. My sister recommended it about a year ago and we've been going here ever since. Everyone is always so nice and  pays attention to detail when it comes to nails. I normally get pedicures and gel manicures which I got today and there has not been a time where I was dissatisfied. Super dissapointed. I have come here a couple times for pedicures and it just keeps getting worse. They need to upgrade their pedicure chairs and 2 of them were not working. The place is dirty and not at all an upscale place. The polish job was something I could have done at home. I am really in shock that they have let this place decline the way it has. I went earlier tonight for a manicure and a hot stone pedicure after work. It was the most relaxing thing I've done in a long time. My nails came out GREAT. I really liked that they didn't try to up sell me for gel nails or designs, they only asked once and when I said no thank you that was it. While I was going to pay I realized I lost my keys, and the woman who did my nails helped me look for them, she even went out into the parking lot to see if I dropped them. She also offered to wait with me (they were about to close as I was leaving) until someone came to get me. Very very sweet of her. Will definitely go back. Read Less

Walked in with my two daughters and was told to pick out a color for our manicures we wanted. Twenty minutes later another woman came out to tell us they couldn't take us today! I was beyond pissed! What kind of place makes you wait for20 minutes and tells you to pick a color and then says they can't take you?! NEVER going to this place again. Absolutely unprofessional. Read Less

I have had several mani/pedis here.  They have turned out fine and I would have no problem going back.  However, I would hardly call them "express", as I was in the salon for just under two hours before I just got up and left while at the dryer due to a previous appointment.   Make sure you have lots of time to spare! This nail salon is off route 110 and 495. Can't get more convenient than that if you ask me! Plus, the salon is situated in a plaza with a number of businesses, there's plenty of free parking.I've been here a number of times for a few different reasons. The first time I went, I made a mani/pedi appointment for 6:30 for a girlfriend and I (to catch up, vent, etc). Well, we got to the shop late and my H ended up joining us (he also got a mani/pedi). The girls took their time (and didn't show any annoyance with our party) and did a great job overall! We left at nearly 8:30... but I didn't realize the shop closed at 7ish! I felt sooo bad! Points!The other times I've come was just as a walk-ins and each person I've seen had done a magnificent job. One girl in particular does amazingly well and IMO outperforms the other workers. She came from Cambodia some time prior and speaks English with such fervor. I'll update once I can remember her name!!Overall, Chelmsford Nail & Spa is a really good salon. It boasts convenient hours, a number of talented employees (so you rarely wait long) with plenty of stations and a decent nail polish selection. Just a warning: it seems like there's a little room to the side where some of the employees take their children to be cared for while they're working. The kids aren't usually loud or distracting, but if you hear it- you're warned! It doesn't bother me. I think you gotta do what you gotta do! Read Less

I used to love this place when it first opened, but the last couple of times were not great at all. The woman who did my manicure this last time buffed WAY too much off of the top of my nails, but somehow they're rough. My nails were filed into very different shapes that did not go together well at all. I'm not sure if they added a filler to the nail polish, but I have never seen an OPI color that runny. I could clearly see where halves of my nails had one coat (barely) and the other halves had two. Maybe some of the nail technicians are better, but I am definitely never going back. Read Less

Two experiences: - 1. Wax.  I called for a leg wax. When I arrived I was told to sit in a chair in the public room. I asked how she was going to wax my legs in front of everyone and she said they don't do leg waxes any more.  I rep[lied that I had scheduled legs over the phone because their website said they do legs and she apologized that the person on the phone must not have understood me.The friend with me stated: - 2. Pedicure.  I said three times that the water was cold enough my feet were aching and I was told first to wait for more water, second that they were busy and out of water and third ignored BUT my feet did come out nice. Disappointed.  With the atmosphere and with the manicure.  Took my 12-year old daughter, we were taken right away for basic manicures ($13 cash / $14 credit each) and sat next to each other.  Her manicurist asked how she was doing, and then proceeded to speak Cambodian for the next 20 minutes.  My manicurist didn't bother to ask how I was doing, just got to work on my nails.  I paid and tipped each woman $5 in advance of the service.  The manicures were just OK.  We could have painted our nails at home with the same results.  Part of my nails have one coat, and the middles of each nail have the second coat.  The edges of all my nails were missed during the second coat.  They sat us at the drying table, said nothing, we dried for about 10 minutes and proceeded to walk out the door.  We were never thanked for our business or told to have a nice day.  These little things are what make customers come back, and we will not be coming back to Chelmsford Nail. I had a pedicure and gel manicure here. I went on a weeknight and it was pretty slow. The pedicure was soo long, I enjoy pedicures and was in no rush but the tech was ridiculously slow. The gel manicure held up pretty well, and was done to my request. My only complaint is that they don't have built in light boxes, so it's on the desk in front of you. Mine didn't have a timer on it, it was sensor controlled -- if my hand wasn't moving it would beep and shut off, then I'd move my hand and it'd beep and turn on. This was annoying, and not necessary. Overall this is an average nail salon, with competitive pricing. In an emergency I'd go back here, but wouldn't make it my everyday salon. Read Less

I went to the grand opening of their Billerica location, Boston Road. The staff is amazing, very friendly and excited about their spa products. The prices are reasonable and my deluxe spa pedicure was the best I have ever had. All organic products, and it smells great ! Ive been to Chelmsford Nail and Spa about 4 times now. Experience has always been average. This last visit in particular was TOO much for me to not write a review about it.I have made appointments there before.. and had to wait about 10 minutes max to be seated. Which was tolerable.This particular time, I made an appointment for 2 people, and still had to wait 30+ minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, We still had to wait  for 15+ minutes for a technician to even sit down with us. ( While we watched others,who walked in after us, get seated and worked on.) WTF!? A 45 minute wait for an appointment?!?! The only reason i didnt walk out was because i NEEDED a manicure for a wedding the next day.What is the point of making an appointment, if they dont even use the book?I feel like my time was disrespected. Evening plans had to be cancelled.I will never go back.The manicure itself was average. I did not get the full treatment with lotion and scrubby soap, as my friend ( who was next to me) did. I was interested in hosting a mani/pedi service for a bridal party of 9 the day before the wedding.  I contacted manager Tim Khiev by email on 7/29 to see if he would honor the current coupon special price for mani/pedi for the bridal party to be booked on 8/31. He promptly responded stating that he would honor the current deal and instructed me to print out the coupons and present on the appointed day. I then called the salon and booked the appt. a month in advance.On 8/31, I called to confirm our appt. and was told we were all set. We all arrived on time, and were immediately greeted and seated for services within 5-10 minutes as the existing clients cleared out.  For approximately 60 minutes we were the only ones in the shop. When I asked if business was slow that time of day (2-3:30pm) the technician responded that they purposely did not schedule appointments during our time frame. I was impressed with this handling of our service. It made for an intimate gathering where we felt free to take the place over with conversation and laughter without feeling we were being loud or intrusive to other patrons. Our time in the shop was so much fun! The staff was very receptive, friendly and interactive with us. There was no sense of urgency, we never felt rushed. We had no problems with language/communication and they really did a fabulous job on our nails. Our services included basic and French min/pedi, gel, and a few girls added designs which were really unique and fun. The technicians told us to bring wine and cheese/crackers when we came back next time. Pretty brave on their part as we partied pretty well without it:). They all expressed appreciation of their gratuity which was well deserved.The shop is to be commended for their customer service on all levels. Would highly recommend for mani/pedi party bookings. I went here last week to have an acrylic full set done since I was in the area and wanted to pamper myself. I gotta say that I'm pleased with the service I received! And that says a lot since I am EXTREMELY picky with my nails (I usually do them myself for this reason).I called ahead and made my appointment which was for 6:45 pm (an hour before closing). I got there 15 mins early, but I was served promptly, the ladies didn't mind (it wasn't busy, I'm not surprised considering it was a Thursday night). The lady who did my nails was quiet but attentive, and although there was a bit of a language barrier, she managed to do exactly what I described to her - it took a couple of trials but she didn't stop until I was absolutely satisfied and she kept checking to see if I liked my nails throughout the entire process, not once seeming annoyed.I'm very pleased with the service and may have to become a regular here. The only (slight) issue I found was that it was a little pricey - I paid $30 for the full set, $5 extra for a french, and another $5 for a gel top coat. I know that a french is usually $5 anywhere you go, but I know so many other places that do the full set for $20-25. But I supposed you get what you pay for, I would rather pay more to get a long-lasting mani than pay less and have all my nails chipping/breaking after a week. Plus, the lady told me to come back if anything happened to my nails and she would fix them! I must remember to ask her name next time...Overall, I think they deserve 5 stars - clean and pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and you get what you want. Will be coming back :) Read Less

Love this place!I am so picky about nail salons and this place was awesome.The chairs are so comfy and the owner is very friendly.She was quick and precise.I got a shellac french and my nails have lasted for two weeks.The prices are the best around! $27 for french shellac and $25 for a pedicure.Their webiste also has great coupons that you can print out and get discounts.They offer group services and you can have girls nights at the salon.You also get a punch card to get a discount on your 6th service.
