Extremely expensive for terrible service. The women were very aggressive and did a terrible job. I could’ve painted my nails better. Don’t waste your money here. Steer clear of this place

Stopped by a couple of hours ago with my mom, hoping for some nice mother daughter time. We went in and at first everything seemed fine. A nice place, but it looked a little dirty. I got a pedicure and my mom got a pedicure and a gel manicure. The workers were nice and made small talk with us. However, they seemed very careless and looked as if they were in a hurry. (Note that there were only one other customer, who was done) My mom had gotten the pedicure first then the manicure. After the manicure was done, they had said her toes were dry and we could leave. We left and she walked for a bit and saw her toes were starting to get smudged. We went back and they repainted the toes that had the smudges. They had done it very carelessly once again and hadn't cared about cleaning the edge of her nails. (there was some nail polish on the skin around the nail) We left right afterwards and the total for everything was around $130. We were shocked by the price. Other places we've been to had the total of around no more than $100. It's only been about 2 hours and my nails have drip lines and the colour was smudgy looking. It wasn't the worst experience but we are definitely never going back. Read Less

She actually scraped my cuticles with the tip of the cuticle clipper that is where I drew them line. My pedi turned out awful. The man working on my was so rude. Yanking on my legs and feet to change or hold a position. Yikes. The dish she used to soak my hands was filthy. I don't even know if the tools were disinfected right. They cut so much cuticle aggressively.Then..they charged me $76 for a mani pedi! Unreal. No prices listed. Save your money and don't risk your health. Terrible place! Read Less

I needed a pedicure asap so I wanted to go somewhere close by to my apartment. I tried finding the prices for this place online but the site doesn't work and no one was actually disclosing the prices on yelp. I walked over thinking they would have the prices listed in the salon on the wall (like most places do) but to my surprise, they didn't even have that. It looked like a mediocre salon with $$ on yelp so I thought to myself, how expensive can it really be? RIPOFF! A normal pedicure is $37 bucks! I have never paid that much for a pedicure in my life, I'd rather go to a Mini Luxe and pay that much. And to top it off, they take cash only tips. One positive thing to this salon is the employees, they are very nice. Read Less

I debated writing this review. It's been a hit or miss here for me. I think depending on who you get, it may or may not be worth the $40+ you spend on a gel manicure here. If I spend that much, I want to see great results. My last time here, the lady didn't let the acetone soak long enough to remove my previous gel nail polish and she basically roughly scrapped it all off and now my nails are breaking left and right. When I left, I also realized that she put uneven layers on me: 5 on the left hand and 4 on the right. And the nail polish look uneven, granted that it was a light color, but what am I paying for! Super disappointed, and can paint my own nails better. I like Aer nailbar at st. Mary's better. Read Less

The employees at Nail3ar are exceptional at what they do! I know no one will read this whole review, so here are the bullets: 1. Longest lasting gel mani EVER, 2. One-time use, disposable pedicure tub per client, 3. NO UV LIGHTS for the gel; only LED, 4. 5-min shoulder/back massage with every mani/foot massage with pedi, 5. professional owner, great local business. Now, in sentences: The prices aren't the cheapest you're going to find, but I guarantee the gel manicure IS going to last longer than any gel mani you've gotten elsewhere, so the ROI is prime. Today marks the end of the third week of my latest gel mani from Nail3ar and not one speck has peeled or become compromised. Additionally, and even if the pedicures sucked, this would be worth a bad nail job (but they're great!): Nail3ar uses a disposable tub liner and stick-on whirlpool jet so everything is clean and you're never dipping your toes in a public foot bath. PLUS every tool is autoclaved and sealed in a sterile pouch. And if you needed final convincing, the owner of the shop shelled out the dough for LED lights for the gel manis - no harmful UV, ever. She told me she did it because she's not cheap enough to put her customers at risk with UV lights, so she bought lights that are better for the customer.Read Less

I came here because I was looking for a less expensive alternative to Aer Nailbar up the road, which is where I usually go. But coming here reminded me that sometimes paying more money is worth it to get better quality work in a more inviting environment. This was the most rushed, amateurish pedi I've ever had. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes, which meant that my feet got basically no time to soak, and the technician did only a cursory buffing of them. They were still really rough afterward (see the photos). She also didn't bother to actually trim my nails, just filed them a little -- and considering how long they were when I went in, I'm going to have to take the polish off sooner than I had planned if I want to trim them. That said, I may not mind taking the polish off sooner rather than later, because the technician also rushed through painting my nails. I was pretty dissatisfied with how the polish came out; I do a better job myself of getting the paint around my nail beds even. The whole reason I pay for pedicures is to get work done on my feet that I couldn't do myself, so I expect to get calluses buffed to have the polish look flawless. Honestly, I was resentful that I had to pay even $25 given the shoddiness of the experience. The only thing keeping this from being a one-star review is that my technician was very nice, and they did take me quickly for a walk-in. But from now on I'll stick to the superior service and slightly higher (but worthwhile) cost at Aer Nailbar. Read Less
