I've been a loyal customer at Aer for 3 years now, and have seen them increase their prices on the most ridiculous things. The last straw was when they informed me that doing a mani and pedi at the same time would be $15 extra. My friend also got charged $10 extra when her "gel was too hard to remove". Keep in mind they already charge an extra for gel removal despite you doing the gel nails at their place. Aer already charges a premium compared to other nail salons, but these price increases recently are pretty ridiculous. Come here if you want a "premium" experience and don't mind shelling out the $$$$, but for regular maintenance I'd look for more reasonably priced alternatives. Read Less

Aer Nailbar is the best nail place I have ever been to. I highly recommend going. I never got my nails done until my 20s. Now I've been to so many places but each one is truly disappointing because it never beats my amazing manicure / pedicure at Aer Nailbar - the quality, look, services you receive, and staff are exceptional. I love the massage chairs and the nail polish wall has so many choices. One time I gave a nearby nail place a chance, hated it, and immediately got a polish change at Aer Nailbar. Yes, it is more expensive than the average place but you get a bath bomb during your pedicure & manicure, special scrubs / hot stone massage for pedicures, and a wonderful massage comes with manicures. This place is as clean as it gets. I also like how they usually have HGTV and TLC on the TVs but no volume on - just subtitles. The actual place is really cute and was recently renovated. I used to live minutes away from this place. I miss it. I live in California now and every time I visit Boston I have to go back to Aer Nailbar. It's one of the few things I truly miss in Boston. Do not drink the Kool-Aid this place was not all of that...Okay so I came here on a last minute kind of situation I was just getting off work and had many errands to run and thought I would stop in here to have a gel mani pedi. I called before I came and made an appointment. when I got there I didn't have to wait long the service was fast....when i inquired about prices I was told it was going to be about $89 or something in that range.....Now I go to the salon regularly, and have been to quite a few places, but I do have my regular spot that I go to and even paying for a mani pedi gel and leaving a tip, is still would be less than$90.I was really curious to know what I was going to get with my $90. What I got was a crooked toenail that couldn't be fixed three and a half hours out of my free time and an aggravated manicurist when I ask for her to straighten my toenail that she made crooked.If I wanted an attitude I could have stayed at my own hood establishment and paid a lot less and got out of there quicker....I guess I was paying for the experience. But here the gag. It was the same experience as my hood spot except the TV was on House hunters.(yes no good videos/ or ratchet TV)...oh and they give you neck/head massage ....no ma'am I don't want your massage. I barely care for your mani/pedi skills.I paid her a tip because she did do some work. But $100 later.. I'm not impressedI had a nail that was breaking and paid an additional charge for a silk wrap on the nail to maintain my length. That didn't last. Amazing service! I had an appointment and got right in. The folks are very detailed in their work and ensure you come out with beautiful nails and feeling fabulous. Also, the massage that comes with the manicure is a really nice touch. AND if you pay in cash, you receive 5% off your entire bill. Not sure if it's a promotion, but makes it even better. I walked by this nail salon as I was grabbing lunch nearby and I'm so glad I decided to check it out. It was to easy to check for availability online and I was able to book an appointment for a regular mani after my lunch. The nail salon is super clean and nicely decorated. The wall of nail polish is so pretty and really shows their large assortment of colors. I originally chose an opi infinite shine color but was told that it would cost $6 more. This was the first nail salon that charged extra for the infinite shine collection so just be aware when selecting colors. I opted for a regular opi color that looked similar. For $20, I got a great regular mani and a shoulder massage as well! I enjoyed the little details such as the lime and fizzy bath bomb in the soaking water and complimentary bottles of water. The salon is bright and they have Bio-Gel, so I thought this would be a great backup nail salon. I was quite disappointed. The polish bubbled and was not smooth. The top coat was not clear. And the same day my thumb nail polish chipped off, causing then my nail to break off as well. If you're going for a very basic mani maybe, but the amount paid for gel, let alone bio gel I expect much more. The smaller shops around pay more attention to the details, shop around ladies. The best nail salon in Boston. They are detail oriented, clean and professional. I have not been to one single nail salon in Boston who put the effort to put essential oils in the water when you are getting a pedi or a mani. The service here is remarkable. I am so happy to have found this gem in Brookline. This has got to be one of the most luxurious nail salons in Boston.Super easy to book appointments online. Yay technology.Was stuck between two colors (who isn't at a nail salon?) and the lady suggested trying both colors on me. This really helped me decide. Thank you. That was really nice. You're the best.$38 base price + $10 tip for gel nail without removal, surprisingly comes with a massage in the end!! (I didn't take advantage of the check-in 5% -- please don't repeat my mistake and tell them before handing over your card!)+1 cleanliness and delightful, relaxing atmosphere - making me feel like I was on vacation+1 feel good music and intriguing selection of tv shows set up ("fixer upper" was entertaining) - so time goes by really fast and you're not bored+1 friendly and profession staff - the lady who did my nails for me was especially sweet (and didn't have a name tag so I don't know her name)+1 good manicure, good-bye cuticles!! really pleased with how detail-oriented they were with painting my nails+1 bonus for gel nails that actually last after two weeks!!! My feet were a mess after my pedicure do had to go elsewhere and they couldn't believe what had been done. Was meant to have a manicure after the pedi. All I had was a nail buff and cuticle cut and he went to put the varnish on. When I complained he reluctantly got some water to dip my nails in and gave them a bit of a going over with the relevant tool and then varnish. I even had to apply my own hand cream!! This place should be everyone's number one choice salon by now. I've been coming here for years and have only had one negative experience. I've been to numerous salons around the Boston area and nothing else compares to Aer. Others try and some come close, but Aer just can't be beat. The staff is friendly, welcoming, extremely courteous, and knowledgeable about their products. I've had regular manicures, gel manicures, and now a Dazzle Dry manicure at Aer and each ha been wonderful.  The shoulder massage with each cannot be beat.As I said, I've only had one bad experience. I had a gel French manicure removed here and the technician filed so far down on my nail that I bled. I didn't return for months, as I needed my nail to heal. It took forever as the entire nail had to grow all the way out again.   With that said, I returned and it felt great to be back. I will say it's ok the pricier side, but you definitely pay for what you're getting. Best pedicure that I've had in a while. We booked a 3pm appointment but had to push it back 40 minutes, they were very accommodating. The employees were great and the customer service was amazing! I've been going to Aer Nailbar for almost a year and I can't sing their praises enough. As a dancer my feet can buildup a lot of callus, but the technicians at Aer never make me feel bad. But more than anything they are super careful when asked not to remove to much of my calluses. Henry is my favorite. He really takes his time, but the results are beyond worth it. Read Less

Exactly what I hoped for at a nail salon. Clean and sterile with plastic tub liners as well as one-time use slippers, toe separators and pumice scrubbers. Wonderful colour selection and very friendly nail technicians. The hot stone massage is amazing and the salon in general is aesthically pleasing with the bar nail dryers and a roomy waiting area. I used to love coming here but the service has gotten worse, not only did I get my hands moved by the man in a very rude way he then cuts me with the electric nail file 3 times and carries on like nothing happened even though he noticed. I won't ever return!!! Read Less
