An extra star for refunding my money (not including the tip)I'll never forgive this place for ruining my hair. I went in in December to color correct a temporary light blue color I had in my hair for a week. I showed them the product so they had the information so there was no excuse for me to come out of there with blue still in my hair and my hair completely yellow. Yellow and blue to the point that male coworkers were asking about it. I called a few days later to try and have them correct it and the manager told me they wouldn't touch my hair again. Normally I wouldn't complain but 2 months later my hair is extremely coarse and damaged even after deep conditioning with kertatese daily (which I paid $70 for the problem they created by stripping, bleaching and then high lighting my hair)I thought Haley would be good bc she was a blonde too but throughout the whole process she had to keep asking about girl which should've been the first sign. Casey McGoff is my hairdresser and she is great at what she does!  She has cut, colored and shaped my hair for years now.  I love her flexible schedule and her laid back personality.  She bring innovative ideas to the table that I normally wouldn't think of myself.  She's willing to think outside the box with all of her clients and I would highly reccomend her! I was referred to this Salon by a friend and decided to give a try since it's right in the neighborhood. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly and to accommodate my work schedule (6pm.) My stylist was Casey and I cannot say enough good things about her. I do not trust many people cutting my hair, but I instantly felt an ease when in her chair since she is honest and confident in her decisions. She told me what my hair needed and what was best for my frame. I would of been happy with just the shampoo wash, it was like going to a masseuse and she uses the best in salon products. The salon itself is decorated so Chic and clean - it feel 'luxurious' being there and that your actually treating yourself. They also serve you infused mint and lemon water which is delicious. All in all I give it 5 stars - I'd highly recommend asking for Casey, she's extremely talented and entertaining to talk to while doing your hair! Read Less

Liz is fantastic. I had my lashes tinted and a brow wax last Friday afternoon and it was an awesome experience all around. I also just got over pneumonia and wasn't feeling the best at the end of my appointment. Liz was very kind because she brought me a water and encouraged me to have a seat for a bit before rushing off to meet my friend for lunch. I appreciated the courtesy looking back and it is really what prompted me to write something here. She went above and beyond the call of duty and I'll definitely be returning as i am also extremely pleased by the way my brows were shaped and the black lash tint really enhances my eyes and makes them pop. Loyal client! The Beauty Bar is great- really beautiful salon with friendly staff and great product selection (including jewelry and accessories... always very tempting!). I've been seeing Casey for a while now. She's awesome. Shes talented, knowledgeable, and has a good eye. Before her, I had a lot of trouble finding the right stylist... the biggest problem? After being recommended to this salon, I finally booked an appointment & journeyed there today. Preface, my hair was a mess. Dry, frizzy, ends a wreck. My hair is naturally wavy & dry but I had many years of every day heat abuse that took it to a straw-like level. Also I have not had a cut since at least a year and a half ago. Short story: this hair was tragic.I had heard she was good so I booked with Casey for a Keratin & cut. So glad I did! She is so amazing & can really read your hair, I am somewhat indecisive & she helped me figure out what is lacking, we agreed on bangs & I LOVE them so much. The Keratin made my hair so shiny, I haven't stopped looking at myself all day. Girls treat yourselves, I promise you will be obsessed. Casey BTW made the whole experience fun, she really listens & she is so skilled at what she does. The salon itself was really clean & pretty, I immediately felt welcomed. Decided to bite the bullet and go for my first facial. I workout a lot and the pores on my nose were getting big. I walked in and set up an appointment with Robin. Fantastic. Her knowledge, passion, and personality is a triple threat! I highly recommend seeing her. Definitely going back for regular facials. An all around GREAT experience, from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out. The receptionist greeted me warmly, offered me coffee or tea, and kept me posted as I waited. The girl who shampooed me should be a massage therapist. I would go back just for that. My hairdresser was the coolest. Very attuned to her clients: whether they feel like talking (I did! she was a blast), how comfortable they are (she saw that i was cold, and brought me tea), and how much suggestion they want (I was open to all). Natalie is a genius with blondes!  I started seeing her a few months ago and couldn't be happier with my color.  My hair tends to pull golden tones- which drives me crazy, and she's able to get it the perfect cool blonde shade. Lynsey never ceases to amaze me! I was referred by my boyfriend's mom and I love The Beauty Bar! I get my lip and eyebrows waxed here and they always look fantastic. If you haven't been, the entire salon is brand new and absolutely gorgeous. The interior looks like an overpriced salon you would see on Newbury St but instead it's a gem in Southie. Worth a visit!! Casey is absolutely fantastic. In a few words: chic, funny, and knowledgeable. She's taken me through a number of different styles....everything from color (I've been ice blonde to a dark brunette) to extensions/short cuts and always manages to hit the mark. It doesn't matter whether you're looking for a small change or considering a more dramatic look, she makes the entire experience comfortable and you leave feeling like a million bucks. My hair still feels soft a silky (despite what I've wanted done to it!) which only speaks to her expertise and knowledge with color processes.
