I've been going to this location since it opened and I am less and less impressed each time I go. Booking online is okay, but booking or changing appointments with the front desk staff is time consumingAs for the manicures, THEY TAKE FOREVER. If you want to relax for almost an hour, this is the place for you, but I don't understand why they take so much longer here for the same result as places that take half the time. I used to love their performance polish but lately it has looked streaky and uneven, almost like they do not replace it often enough.No comment on the pedicures other than these take a very long time. Quality here is okay but it takes a big chunk out of your day and prices are not competitive. Read Less

I was staying in a hotel nearby for the weekend and figured i'd stop in to kill some time. I wanted to get a gel manicure and a pedicure but the scheduler only had time for a pedicure. So, I figured i'd go for it anyway. My appointment was for 5:30, I ended up getting there at 5 and they said they could take me early. I told them that I tried to book a gel manicure and the scheduler wouldn't allow me. Since they were able to take me early, could they squeeze me in for a gel mani? The receptionist said no. Ok, no biggie. I went over for my pedicure. My tech was ok, nothing to write home about. A few oddly shaped toes, but nothing awful. The massage was short, and just ok but ALOT of pressure which i'm not used to. After my polish was applied I looked up and noticed that the receptionist who checked me in (and told me no to a mani) was getting a gel manicure... This got me a little more than annoyed. Not only was an employee getting her nails done instead of me, there were a couple of techs just standing around in the "Clean Lab" area. Rude.$50 for a pedicure without a lot of frills, tech didn't talk to me or make me feel at home just not worth it.Update:The rep from MiniLuxe left a comment on my review but never reached out to me to follow up. Came here for birthday nails for my husband. We had great service. Kay was my nail tech and she was fun to talk to and did an excellent job. This miniluxe has a nice selection of gel colors too. I got the champagne from bioseaweed. The concierge ladies were so sweet too. I'd return if in the area again! Read Less

UPDATE: performance polish is not worth the extra $10. Mine chipped in less than 24 hours. First time going to a minilux location and I left impressed. The front desk staff was welcoming. They offered me tea and water when I arrived. Diana did an amazing job. She was easy to talk to and made sure everything was done to my liking. I received the performance nail polish. $30 was a bit pricy, but i enjoyed my experience and will be back. Read Less

I had a great first experience at MiniLuxe in the Seaport, and I will certainly be back as a result of that experience! I went in on a busy Saturday afternoon the day before New Year's Eve. I had a coupon to redeem a free manicure with a pedicure service and scheduled both. I will admit I did not think that the service would go out of its way to exceed my expectations with the experience because of the free service. But I was most certainly wrong! My nail specialist, Diana, was amazing. We had a very pleasant conversation throughout the services but she was not overbearingly chatty. She went out of her way to help me decide between multiple colors of polish, letting me test before she began the services. Ultimately, she recommended a different color than I had picked out which I ended up going with. My manicure is still, a full week later, without a single chip (and I did not even upgrade to the performance polish). I will be back again specifically to see Diana.Overall, MiniLuxe has a great, comfortable, stylist atmosphere and is an extremely clean facility. Read Less

The money is just not worth the mani or pedi. The prices are inflated for the services and my nails chipped today after having my mani! Also, I find one of the receiptionists very rude and I spoke with manager, Christa, about it today and she was not empathetic at all, and blamed me! I had purchased an $18 nail polish and the Asian receiptionist (I'm sorry I cannot remember her name), Rang me out and forgot to bag nail polish and I left the nail salon without the nail polish. Luckily, I remembered while walking a few mins down street from spot, and came back, and told this receiptionist and she got defensive and told me I had the nail polish. I told her I did not have it and she said "you forgot it here on the counter." Excuse me, you Rang me out, you should have bagged it and handed it to me. I explained that to her and I was quite irritated about it. She didn't care. She said customers just take the nail polish, they don't bag it and if I wanted it bagged I should have asked to have it bagged. REALLY?! I don't think so- that seems VERY off. I called and spoke with Christa, where she defended the receiptionist and just kept replying "ok" to everything I said. Horrific customer service.About the Terrible nail service: My nail technician looked mad the whole time, never smiled or spoke to me. She rushed the whole pedicure and was very rough, tugging my toes very tightly while she cut the cuticles. The two coats she put on didn't even come out even!! She also gave the WORST massage on both my feet and hands. I spoke with the manager about this as well, and again, no empathy. Christa stated that it was "MY PERCEPTION that the tech didn't do a good job." PAID FULL price for all services, and the manager asked me if I've ever had a good experience at any Miniluxe. Terrible customer service and she obviously doesn't care about loosing me as a client. I called to speak with her supervisor, and never got a call back. Not worth it for the price! If you are high end nail salon, act like it. Miniluxe customer service is awful and indicative of them not caring about customers. They only care about the money! And your services are not worth the money, Miniluxe.UPDATE: The supervisor Bridgette reached out to me and proceeded to blame me. Miniluxe doesn't care about its customers or the way they are treated. They only care about your money. They have zero customer services skills, and blame YOU if you complain. Stay clear of Miniluxe- their services aren't worth the money, and the people in management roles don't know how to do their jobs correctly. I was told it was best if I didn't come back by upper management! There main offices aka corporate is in Fanueil Hall and headed by Bridgette(Regional Director/Sup) and Leslie (President of Miniluxe)who jointly said "we are no longer able to service you at any of our locations." I have asked to speak to Leslie's boss to Leslie directly via email and to NO surprise I did not get a phone number Or email for her boss. Unacceptable. These people get away with unjust behavior! They have no customer service skills and treat customers like dirt who have spent so much money since you opened your doors. Shame on you, Miniluxe. Read Less

I've been to a few Boston MiniLuxe locations and decided to give the Seaport location a try. I chose a quiet Sunday morning partially because I dislike the cramped and rushed feeling some of the other locations can have. Received a manicure with MiniLuxe brand polish (I believe the shade was Southern Belle.)The Seaport salon is clean, beautiful and very well decorated. My manicurist was pleasant and professional, but I couldn't help but feel rushed throughout the appointment. One of the problems I usually have post Miniluxe mani is flooded cuticles and raised polish - tried to avoid by being an earlier booking on a quiet day. Too bad - I really liked everything else about the experience except that the polish was hurried (as always). I'm not sure if the raised effect is from not enough dry time between coats or from too much Seche Vite - this is exactly what happens to me when I DIY my manicure. However, was expecting the meat of the matter to be better than the decor. The MiniLuxe polishes are a good range, however I would like to see the Seaport location offer the Designer polishes the other locations have: I was informed by the receptionist that they carry only gel and on-brand polish.Be sure to double check your confirmation if you book through the app; I had to call the salon post-booking because the app reassigned me to a random slot three hours later than requested.. This Miniluxe is super convenient for me, as I live next door. I have always been pleased with the pedicures I have gotten and the staff who have done them have all been nice and professional. However, the staff who greet you could be a bit friendlier and more helpful. I have to literally go out of my way to be kind and upbeat for them to crack a smile and stop being on their phones for a second. One girl made sure to finish her text before looking up to check me in. Really?!? Perhaps, the manager of this location could focus on some additional training for these employees, as the services and location are great. Read Less

I got a signature manicure done on their opening day a few months ago. It was a complimentary manicure and I had never been to a miniluxe so I wasn't sure where to set my expectations. But, whatever those expectations were, they were blown. My technician was a super sweet girl who clearly had beautiful nails herself and one could tell she knew what she was doing. She used a wonderful soothing and exfoliating lotion during my massage. Even though I chose the light pink OPI Polish and ended up thinking I would need an extra coat because it was such a light color (my mistake), she was completely understanding in my request and even considered to let my nails dry before adding an extra coat so as not to make a mess. I was also offered a nail file and buffer to go in a cute little baggie - another first! Overall, I felt very pampered even though it was a free manicure. It's usually $20 but my experience convinced me, at least this location, is worth it. Read Less

I've been going to this location since it opened and I am less and less impressed each time I go. This Miniluxe is super convenient for me, as I live next door. I have always been pleased with the pedicures I have gotten and the staff who have done them have all been nice and professional. However, the staff who greet you could be a bit friendlier and more helpful. I got a signature manicure done on their opening day a few months ago. It was a complimentary manicure and I had never been to a miniluxe so I wasn't sure where to set my expectations. But, whatever those expectations were, they were blown. My technician was a super sweet girl who clearly had beautiful nails herself and one could tell she knew what she was doing. Everyone was really nice and great ambience . My only issue is that my performance polish chipped already after only one day of wear and it was said to be no chip for at least 5 days. I would say to get gel instead for no chipping. But other than that I liked everything else. Read Less
