I have psoriasis and they refused to do my nails.. I always get my nails done, just dont have a steady place because ppl are ignorant... They are!

JP nails does a very nice job. It is a consistent and pleasant neighborhood spot and we are SO LUCKY to have a nice neighborhood nail salon! I am picky and they are happy to address my requests. The few negative reviews? Come on guys - be respectful of a group of hard-working women trying to manage a busy nail salon!

This place is a little gem right in the heart of Jamaica Plain. They do a great job and cost half of other nail parlors in the area. We were able to get a same-day appointment. Also fast, professional and courteous. Definitely making this my regular ail place going forward!

The service was nice and quick, since no one was there. I got a gel manicure, and while I was at first impressed by the time and effort put in, upon closer inspection I was disappointed. On half my nails she didn't go all the way to the edge, and even left old polish there that is still visible. Good for a fast manicure, but probably won't go back. I'd prefer higher quality.

They did get me in the water then left me sitting for over 30 minutes.
I was just getting ready to leave
Then when someone became available that could begin my pedi she claimed her client had an appt
Then this girl switched out her seat and her friend sat down
Then the girl claimed she just wanted a color change
So how is it her friend was seen instead of me?
2nd time here and each time is worse and will not be back again and this is a promise

Went here on a Friday mid-afternoon with my two besties. They both had pedicures and manicures and I only had a manicure. We chatted while they were getting their nails done. All of our nails turned out great. The woman who did my nails did a great mini hand massage and I liked the paraffin treatment. I also like how you get to pick what kind of lotion you want. This place has inexpensive prices for the high quality service and treatments available. They are my go to spot in JP. I even was able to get sparkles!

I've been coming here for 2+ years now. Every two to three weeks. I always see someone different. Everyone is so nice here and very accommodating. I have only had one or two bad experiences here which weren't even big deals. (I.e. My gel chipping a week in. Or the woman not shaping my nails how I wanted. REALLY not big deals considering all of the good experiences I have had) Their pedicures are amazing. Hot stone always. Their manicures are also great. They always use paraffin wax. I only do gel manicures and pedicures here. I have not tried their waxing.I also love that they never tell you that you should wax your eyebrows or upper lip like most nail salons. And every time I go they either have Phantom Gourmet or Law and Order on so that's just another plus.My only tip is to come in early on Saturday's. That really should be obvious but it apparently is not based on the number of grown women I have seen throw fits when they have to wait 30 minutes for a manicure.

The service was nice and quick, since no one was there. I got a gel manicure, and while I was at first impressed by the time and effort put in, upon closer inspection I was disappointed. On half my nails she didn't go all the way to the edge, and even left old polish there that is still visible. Good for a fast manicure, but probably won't go back. I'd prefer higher quality.
