Holy Cow !  As a guy -- well, I just didn't think I would be comfortable in Lindsey's... wow was I wrong.  Lindsey took care of my feet... soaking, scraping, toe nail fixing, trimming, and rubbing soothing lotion and gel... all the time making me comfortable and treating me like a first-class patron, while I usually travel back in coach.  My feet and toes made me feel like I was walking on air.  She also did a mani-- I was in heaven.  Lindsey, Christine, and Kimb made me feel like the lion in the wizard of Oz, when he got his pampering session.  Oh la la -- these girls are tops!  I'll be back ! My regular spot! All the girls will remember you. They have the best attitudes and always do a great job! I go regularly for pedicures, and once in a blue moon for a mani. They can always take me as a walk-in. I even took my bridesmaids and mother there, so we could get our nails done before my wedding! I was going to get no polish because I wanted very natural looking nails, but they suggested I get this very pretty and absolutely perfect shellac instead. Not a place that I would take a child for a pedicure. The nail technician said they just paint the toenails for little girls. So, no spa pedi, which was fine. Until she yelled @ her for smudging the nail polish. Regretting I even tipped her. Will not be returning. Read Less

I've been trying to find a regular place to get gel manicures and nail art.  This was close to my house, so I walked over and gave it a try.  They have a selection of Shellac polishes but no polish color display cards so it's hard to know what the actual colors will look like.  No nail art was on display and none was offered to me.  I asked at the end if they ever add flowers and was told they could have if I had asked.  Well, advertise your skills, ladies. The polish itself was unremarkable.  Not good, not bad.  Less cuticle clean-up than I would have liked but it felt sort of rushed.  Sadly, this gel manicure lasted barely a week before it started flaking off.  I don't know if it was the Shellac polish or the nail preparation.  But it wasn't worth the money. I love this place - it's clean and unpretentious and they do a great job. I was astonished by the negative review below - looks like a backhanded ad for another salon. I like that Lindsey's does not have a TV on, and I like that the technicians are talking to one another and having a good time. I have NEVER had to wait. I get the full treatment and it's luxurious! This is by far my favorite place to go for a pedicure! They do an amazing job, especially with tough calluses, but more importantly my pedicures last almost 3 months!! My manicures have not been as successful, but I think they tend to only last a few days normally, and I am a bit of a klutz with my hands.Good selection of colors, they do take walk ins. holy crap am I pissed I went here!it was the most I have ever paid for a pedicure and got the least amount done. $27 for a polish change? seriously? Personally 3/4 of why I get a pedicure is to have someone work on my calluses. She said that was another $5. Since I was late for my date and really wanted nice feet I decided to stick with the appointment. I should have never done this.The polish selection was very limited.  they use OPI and many of the bottles were old and dried up. Basically, I think they do this to make you buy a bottle. uh... maybe so you can also do your own touch ups since their job is so bad? It was super fast, which normally I would like, and since I was running late anyway I was kind of excited about this, however, fast also mean TERRIBLE! The polish is so messy, doesn't cover my nails, already chipped (24 hours later) and was all over my skin.I mentioned the $5 extra for dead skin sloughing, well, that was a bunch of bull. my feet felt like sandpaper when I eft. My date even commented on how rough they were (yeah, not cool mr. date)Oh, and the massage chair was broken, not a big deal but since I am bashing the place I'll add it to the list. I would say they were nice, but I watched several other customers with appointments have to sit and wait for a long time while the employees rushed around like busy bodies doing nothing but snacking.STAY AWAY!!! TERRIBLE!!!!This is the second worst manicure I have gotten in my life, and I get a LOT of manicures. My nails were uneven, the edges were rough and they were half painted (I know - hard to believe I've had a worse manicure, but I have:) I asked to not have my cuticles cut and she started to anyways.  The staff is obnoxious, loud, and talks about customers who just left the salon in a derogatory way. I went to Lindsey's for a manicure before my wedding. It's clean, reasonably priced and the women who work there are friendly. Because my wedding was coming up, I wanted to try a Shellac manicure, so it would last through the weekend. I'm one of those people whose nails start chipping within hours of a normal manicure, but it's been two weeks and my french manicure looks amazing! There really aren't any noticeable chips yet - just a little gap at the nail bed where my nails have grown out. but because it's a french, you can't see it without looking closely. I tried this place when my regular salon changed ownership. They seemed understanding of my needs and so I got a full set of acrylics.I wanted pink & white.I was told that the pink turns orange in the sun and so she used a whiter shade.I was not happy but let it go.,I asked for my nails to be buffed to a shine ,no polish and she said they have a gel that stays shiny and if I did not like it she would take it off.I tried it and left. A few days later I dropped by to make another apt ,telling her I was not happy with the color and what could we do? I made the appt. for Friday and was called to change it due to her Dr's appt. I am flexable.Today was the appt I arrived on time and had to wait 25 minutes,no apology for my time. She proceeded to tell me if I was not happy she would give me my money back and I could go to a place down the street.I said I am here I need my nails done just do them please. She went on and ob and I was totally embarrassed in front of other clients. Not  the way to get new customers. I will have to say they are clean ,but the job she did on my nails is not what  am use to and was told that if I am not happy I will never be and basically not to come back. Not nice at all ! Worst pedicure ever.     My cuticles are cut down to raw nubs and I have a painful bleeding wound on one toe.  Nails are uneven in appearance, polish lumpy.  It was expensive at $37 for a mini-pedicure that included nothing except overly-aggressive cuticle cutting and polish.   No buffing or work on the rest of feet except nails, not even moisturizer let alone a foot massage.  This was not relaxing, my nails look terrible and I am hobbling on painful, bleeding feet.  Don't go here. I had a great pedicure at Lindsey's.  The place is clean, the massage chairs were divine, the staff was very friendly and they did what I asked (not cut the cuticles).  The polish lasted forever and I was very pleased.  My only gripe is the price, $40 for a pedicure outside of a spa (where they give me champagne with the pedi and fawn over my feet) is just to much money to go on a regular or semi-regular basis. I was looking for a place close to where I live and a dressmaker who was altering a dress of mine steered me clear of the place next door to her and on down the street to Lindsey's. The salon is just a block down from Rancatore's on Belmont Street.Lindsey's is an unpretentious, clean and friendly salon, only specializing in nails, not tanning and waxing and the rest of the stuff that you might see in other salons. Which means that they can focus and really do a great job. I had a mani and a pedicure there and I'm very very happy with the results.
