Star nails does not sterilize their instruments at all! I was in there waiting to get a manicure when I witnessed the nail tech brush dead skin off a pair of cuticle cutters with her fingers, put them in the basket and then walk over to a pedicure customer and use them on her. I had to walk out! I let them know why I was leaving and they tried to tell me they do sterilize, but clearly they do not! They have total disregard for public health and cleanliness!! I love this place...esp. Li she is awesome...my gel manicures last for 3 weeks. She is sweet...other comments about level of engagement from employees are written by people wgo clearly don't understand cultural differences. I find all employees at Star Nails to be nice....they remember my name and, most importantly, do good work. Best nail salon around...great value. Read Less

Typical nail salon. They get you in and out quickly. My biggest complaint is the workers being totally disengaged with what they're doing. My girl was watching a video on another workers phone while massaging my feet...needless to say it wasn't very good service. She also dropped the foot scrubbing tool off the floor after she dropped it and continued using it on me without rinsing it off. Read Less

I've been going here for about two years and have only had a few good experiences. Every time I go I get a fill on my acrylic nails , and they don't do a very good job. They never finish filing the corners of my nails ever if I ask them to touch it up.. They also tent to make me bleed a lot . When I bring in a picture of what I want , which usually consists of a solid color with one finger that has stripes on it , The lines are crooked. Also, when I got a pedicure the man cut off a chunk of my skin and made me bleed , and when I flinched and said ouch he looked up at me and smiled. For about a week I had trouble walking . The last time I went in , I went to go pick my color and there was a live beetle on the rack, and there was a cricket hopping around . They saw the cricket and laughed about it and kept doing what they were doing instead of getting it . This is the worst place I have ever been to. I got a mani & pedi. I stopped in while on Vacation. I get a manicure every other week and a pedicure about every month. First, I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to even touch my feet. Then the guy who did my pedicure cut my toe! To the point where I was bleeding. He then did a terrible job. Then moved on to a different woman for the manicure who asked me to pay before hand which is fine. I said I was not paying full price for the pedi because I was bleeding from it. They then said that I had an ingrown toe nail & said I should have told them. Which is completely wrong. I have had ingrown toe nails before and they are at the botton of the toe nail not at the top! The guy was careless. Then you would think that they would have done a good job on my nails because they messed up my toes and made me bleed.. NOPE. She made me nails uneven, didn't cut them back, and didn't even push my cuteicals back. Polish started chipping next day. I took their card just in case an infection occurs. Horrible place to go all around. DON'T DO IT. and from other posts I can see I'm not the only one who left here bleeding! Read Less
