I have been getting my nails done at Sophia’s for over a year. I have Gel nails and all the nail technicians are very consistent with their work. I had my nails done last week and there was a little bit of lifting on a few nails, I went back today and they fixed them at no charge. I highly recommend Sophia’s! This was my first time here at Sophia's and I didn't know what to expect. The salon is very bright and open and CLEAN my #1 priority when I am getting my nails done. I had a regular pedicure and it was probably the best I've ever had. The woman who took care of me was sweet and she was so detailed as she worked to make sure my polish was perfection. The staff here seemed friendly, however it was very pricey. My friend and I got the pearl spa pedicure, their website says $40 but the charged us $43...$3 extra no big deal we said as long as we get the full leg massage which is why we chose the most expensive package. The leg massage felt more like someone rubbing sand into your leg, and we wouldn't even call it a massage it was-well, as I said, rubbing lotion into your legs with sharp sand scraping you...like applying sunscreen at the beach. There was no massage at all just rubbing in the same spot over and over until our skin got sore and our muscles not even touched. The chairs were old and the massagers were above our heads and we couldn't adjust them. We have spent a lot less at other nail salons for pedicures and gotten much better and more relaxing service. It was money wasted, we only tipped about 12% and the once friendly staff pretty quickly lost their friendliness, they didn't say by or anything, but $8 to paint my nails to match my toes? Come on, where we live they charge about half that price for a simple nail paint. Read Less

I've been a patron of Sophia' s for years and have never had any complaints until today, the staff is all very friendly and well trained. Their prices have increased a little bit, but understandably-they quality is outstanding. So I was very disappointed today when I went in for a full set and the only staffer available was a technician I had never had before. She had an attitude when I walked in and sighed when I asked for coffin nails. She complained that her hand hurt from holding my fingers in a guilting tone, and kept pausing to look at her phone while buffing my nails, and she neglected to buff down the residue on the underside of my nails, so now my clothes are going to get caught on them. She didn't have me wash my hands before painting so there are tiny bumps from nail dust underneath the polish. The shape of my nails are inconsistent. She definitely didn't deserve the tip I left her but I was worried she'd do an even worse job if she saw me leave a bad or no tip. I think she said her name was Kali, or Kelly. Something like that. She had no name tag. I was very disappointed by her service. All the other technicians there are wonderful though, and I highly recommend them! Read Less

I had to wait  30 minutes despite having an appointment. When I left at 4PM another woman who had walked in with some family who all had 3PM appointments was just sitting down. The place is dirty.. and I mean very dirty. Not just end of the day, a lot of nail dust, I mean filthy hasn't been clean in months dirty. Nails looked fine. This was my first time coming to this salon. I had actually never had a full set of gel nails before and I was extremely excited! The girl at the front was very helpful. However, the lady who actually put my nails on and shaped them was very unfriendly and did not even say hi to me. I tried to make conversation but she didn't really acknowledge me. She also seemed like she was in a rush and two of my nails are a little bit crooked which is very sad. After the lady shaped my n...ails another lady painted them. Then they started talked to each other in their native language and looking at my nails and kind of laughing? So I was very uncomfortable. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience but it wasn't great either. It would be nice to have a friendly nail tech. I have gone here a handful of times. Never had a problem first few times. But last few times I went the lack of service and communication has been awful. Last time I went the girl painted my nails wrong color. I had picked it out prior and had assumed maybe the color would dry different. But my toes and nails didn't match like I had wanted. I was bummed because I was going on a cruise. This past time. I had picked out my color and the receptionist told me she'd get the polish for me. So when I sat down I explained to the girl I wanted a shimmery pink. She didn't seem to understand. So she was about to do the wrong color until I said something. She THEN got mad at me and huffed at me saying I should have said something easier. Which I tried to.  Then rushed the entire service making is SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I'm never going back. They rush you and make you wait for your appts even you schedule them. There are a few girls there that are good. But I have lost all interest in staying loyal to them. Past couple times i have been  disappointed. As a mom it's nice to get out and do something nice for yourself. But not worth the money if they dont do what you want. Read Less

Went in for a spa pedicure and a gel mani today. BEST pedicure I've ever had and I LOVE my mani! I highly recommend the spa pedi! The leg mask and foot paraffin wax treatment were TO DIE FOR! Seriously, my feet feel like butter... V did both mani and pedi and I was impressed at how meticulously she worked. Very detail oriented and didn't cut any corners.  I liked that they explained pricing before performing any services, so that I wasn't surprised at the end and was agreeable. The salon atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.  Definitely make an appointment because they are super busy (now I know why)! I also really appreciated the level of professionalism and politeness of the receptionist. The salon was very busy and she coordinated like a PRO! Bravo Sophia's! They gave me beautiful nails for my wedding day. They have always give me great nails. I had always been there when I lived in agawam but when I moved away I went to East Longmeadow nail salon ( where I am currently lives) they did awful job on my nails they were very thick. I decided to return to Sophia's nail. They repaired my nails back to beautiful. They does great job. It's worth my trip to Agawam for that. I will continue to go there and get it done! Read Less

Attentive Service; they asked and then even asked again to confirm what I wanted. I hate going to places that assume what you want and not ask you. This was not the case. I had tips removed and a gel polish done. They thought I was nuts because my tips looked great but I explained that I was returning to work and needed my natural nails back so that I could type. They warned me that my nails would be brittle after tips and not as long. I said "no problem just please try to keep them as long as possible" and they did. Visited Sophia's for the first time while I was visiting family in the area. A friend recommended it, and the Yelp reviews were great. I made an appointment a day early for the following morning, which I was glad as it was quite busy. I was immediately sat with a technician. My nails came out wonderful, and the service was excellent. I had a regular French pedicure, followed by gel French manicure which totaled to $58. It took about 1.5 hours, so account to spend that much time here. I did not feel rushed like I have from other salons, (especially in the city). Will come back. Thank you! Read Less

The woman who I had for a pedicure was not friendly at all. In fact she was miserable. But everyone can have a bad day. My 9 year old also had a pedicure. She had a man. He was friendly. The lady that did my toes had my daughter sit at the dryers next to me and grabbed her by her arm to place her in seat and it left a huge bruise on the back of her arm! I recommend this place all the time to my friends and family. I have been going here since they opened, VERY CLEAN and they do a great job every time. Got annoyed a few times because I would make an appointment and they would never take me on time, but they have gotten a lot better now. My nails always look fabulous and the gel manicure lasts me 3 weeks! It's a great feeling knowing that you will leave a nail salon with perfect looking nails. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recently made an appointment with Jessica at Sophia's Nail Care and couldn't be any more happier with the service that I received! I had a full set of gel nails done and a spa pedicure. Jessica was great when I asked her to do a more rounded nail and the design I was looking for, she achieved what I had a request for without a problem. The spa experience for a pedicure was wonderful and so relaxing that I might have fallen asleep! The girls really do take care of you, they stayed passed the their closing time (7pm) to finish up the whole pedicure. I forgot how long a full set of gels and a pedi took! The girls were really kind and caring, the salon itself is clean and very well cared for. I was able to see how the girls were cleaning every single desk/chair/station as I was finishing up.
