Ok, I had my very first appointment at this wonderful hair and day spa. My Stylist Mia met me when I walked in the door, introduced herself and asked me what she could get me before starting my hair cut and color. I had brought in a picture on my iPad and iPhone and she took the time to access if the haircut and color would work for me. She even consulted with 2 other Stylists, which is their normal practice. I was nervous at first, but within the first 5 minutes I felt li...ke had been going to this salon for years. Mia took the time to explain everything she was going to do and asked me if that was ok with me or did I want to do something else. MIa, was so sweet and caring. I could tell she really cares and takes time for each of her clients. I choose a blonde/platinum pixie cut. I even felt comfortable enough with Mia to let her shave my hair and bleach it! She kept an eye on my hair constantly to make sure my hair wasn't over processing or burning my scalp. After shampooing my hair, Mia did such a great job on my color that no toner was needed. I have always needed toner. I sat in her chair after the wash and my hair was perfect! It looked exactly like the picture I took in on my iPad. This shop is by far the best I have gone to. I have been devoted to one Stylist for over 2 years, so it was hard to make the change, but so glad I did. I already made my next appointment before leaving. With Mia of course. What made it even better it was my Birthday and I was treating myself to a day of beauty and that is exactly what I got. Absolutely amazed with my experience at this salon. I'm 18 and went alone and I was a little nervous walking in because I did not know what to expect. The building was extremely convenient and easy to find and from the second I walked in the door I felt very welcomed and comfortable. I was extremely worried going in about my spray tan because I'm very light skinned and didn't want to look orange on Prom night. Everyone was super reassuring and Christina talked me through every little detail beforehand. Diane did my nails which turned out better than i could have asked for and I also had my eyebrows waxed for the first time. Let me preface this with I'm a dude, so the skills my stylist must have are pretty basic. I'm not getting an ombre or any of the other crazy stuff that woman are into these days. I just want a consistent cut that doesn't make me look like Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber (totally happened). Anyhow I've gotten a consistent cut across 3 stylists now so no complaints there. They always call the day prior to confirm your appt and you get your hair washed twice! I don't think I'm receiving special treatment here, my locks aren't that impressive. Prices are on point with most other places I've been and the best thing about it is that it's only a few min from my house.For all you dudes out there I know it isn't a barbershop, but sadly those seem to be in increasingly hard supply. I chose Salon Tres Chic for my bridal hair, and I had a fantastic experience at my trial. Justine was easy to work with, extremely attentive, and professional. I got a little bridal gift bag and note as a thank you from them... plus my hair looked gorgeous! The first style she did was amazing, but I asked if she could adjust to make the front softer. This salon is amazing! The week of my wedding I came in for a massage, manicure, and pedicure. Prior to this, I hadn't ever really been to a spa so I didn't know what to expect. Everyone on staff is so welcoming, kind, and helpful. I felt right at home. Then on my wedding day, they came out to our wedding site for hair and makeup. Mia is absolutely amazing. I really liked the way Marie cut my hair, but I won't be going back to this salon.  Last month they misplaced my appointment (even after I received a reminder call).  Marie had a color to do, so she quickly sprayed my hair with water and gave me a choppy and incomplete cut.  I decided to give the salon one more try so I made an appointment for another cut.  I walked in, and again, they said they had no record of it in the computer.  I walked out for the last time. I'm almost 30 and it took me until a couple years ago (and I've lived all over) to find a salon I truly loved and it's THIS salon. All of the women are super nice, bubbly and welcoming. Jess does my hair and I would never let anyone else touch it. I live in Boston now and still travel back to Agawam for her to do my hair. The nail techs Ashley and Christina are some of the best. They did my nails until I moved (it was too much to travel to Agawam every 2 weeks for fills). I still haven't found a nail place that compares. Also, these ladies are all animal lovers to the core.
