Do not recommend literally waited for an hour to get my nails done and when I finally sat in the chair to get them done the lady was rushing why , I do not know , as she began filing the polish off she was going so fast i could feel the burn !! I ignored it in my head i was like if she makes me bleed imma be mad so then she began taking my nails off, again rushing she was legit hurting me with the cuticle nipper i told her politely like your hurting me , she was like their thick I was like ok but it hurts so she move on to the next nail and literally STABBED ME UNDER MY NAIL , I pulled my hand away and told her like u legit just stabbed me , she proceeded to tlk to her fellow coworkers In a whole other language And I was like ok, I'm gonna go somewhere else she just like ok!! When I went in the store, I sat down to wait. Everyone else is right, there was no acknowledgement. I look over at the front counter, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for at least 6 months. When I went back to get my pedicure, the seating wasn't all that. They asked if I wanted a brow waxing, I said no, then thought maybe. Until I looked over at the room. It was filthy ! When I got outside and looked at my feet, it looked like a child had done it. You get what you pay for ! 4 stars because they told me 35 for gel but it was 45. Anna was very good though. A little rough for me but I don't get my nails done so I could just be dramatic. If I could give them negative stars, I would. This nail salon sucks. I have waited over 45 minutes on two occassions without being acknowledged. I have witnessed other customers get angry after waiting a ridiculous amount of time and just leave. When I was able to get service, the technician (dont remember her name) nipped me so bad my toe kept bleeding and three days afterward, I started to get itching and burning like there was some kind of problem or fungus on my foot!!! So DO NOT waste your money or time. They dont care anything about their customers, so why keep giving them money just because they are convenient! You will spend more in the long run in doctors visits trying to get rid of whatever they are spreading with their unsanitary conditions! Read Less

I will keep it short and sweet - Now I like Star Nails, but they aren't the best when it comes to time management & priority. I have had a few instances when I have made an appointment and they didn't necessarily take it into consideration when figuring out what client was next in line. Ugh! The shop is small and quiet. It is kind of a hole in the wall but they are very clean and professional. The girl who does eyebrows is a freaking GOD! She is absolutely amazing. And I love going to Lisa or Donna because they are always consistent and hook my nails up! Their prices are very reasonable as well. Star Nails is a get in and get out type of place. If you are looking for luxury and pampering, I would not suggest Star Nails, but if you need a quick fill or pedi, I would say they are perfect for you but you got to get in the chair first & that is sometimes a wait, sigh! They claim to open at 9 on Saturdays, but every time I arrive at 9 it's jam packed. Ask for Donna for your pedi and/or fill. Mary is really good too. Overall the salon is clean and kid friendly too. The seats in the waiting are not the most comfortable. Read Less

I'm sitting in the salon now. I just finished drying my toes! I didn't have to wait once I entered. They took back me immediately since I was getting a pedicure.  I'm not sure what my technician's name was but she did well. I needed the scrubbing and exfoliating more than anything else. 5-8-15 Friendly staff but this has to be one of the worst mani/pedis I've had. 35 min wait. Massage feature on pedi chair sounded like severe turbulence in a jumbo jet. Water in foot bath was COLD and no way to heat it up. No foot massage just application of "oil". Salon overall was very dated as well. As for the mani, a lot of polish was left on the skin around my nails.  A LOT. I had to ask the lady (so so nice) a couple times to go back with the brush again to remove more polish. The clear coat didn't cover all the nail so there are some matte areas. The "design" was ok on my toes so I asked her to match it on two of my nails. Not a problem since it's the same person doing the exact same design on my fingers right? WRONG. It looks like she did the design on my hands with HER feet. A mess! She also went all the way to the cuticle line with the polish so there's no nice even polish line right above the edge of the cuticle. You know what I'm talking about. So on to eyebrows. I wouldn't have gone through with it but I had already paid, as is the custom, before the polish went on my nails. So, first of all, the waxing area looked like an interrogation room. One lone dusty chair and a small shelf of non-descript "tools". So, to keep it simple (so I thought) I asked her to follow the line already there. *SMH* All I can say is I have a graduation to attend tomorrow morning and I have a date with a brow pencil. This place is super expensive for acrylic white tips and refills.   It doesn't matter if you have been going here or not every single time they remove your acrylics and do a new full set. The technicians don't look like they have  a lot of experience. Went there for a while because I couldn't find any other place to have my nails done but after a while I just gave up and stopped going to this place completely. Went to this place on 11/2/13. Everyone was busy so I had to wait for about 20min, $30 for a gel manicure and the lady didn't even massage my hands, $22 for a pedi and no massage on the legs or feet there either. It's only been 4 days and one of my nails has already started to chip. Usually gels last for at least 2 weeks. Will not come back here again. Read Less

I've been to star nails a few times over the past 3 months for pink and white nail design and pedicures.  From what I have noticed (and I am very picky about these these things) is is clean, there isn't a long wait and most importantly my nail tech is excellent.  The delux pedicures are amazing! The only reason why I am giving them one star, is because there isn't a rating lower than that, because with service like theirs they don't deserve it or any customers. I went to Star Nails because, with working two jobs I haven't been able to make it to my normal salon as they have shortened their hours a bit. I decided to give Star Nails a try because it is conveniently located in the strip mall of my part time job. I walked in the salon, and was greeted by a man who promptly asked what I was there for, and told me to come back to the massage chair. Now I know I don't have the feet of a foot model, but my feet are far from being as horrible as I was made to feel. The nail tech not only talked about my feet with two young girls (nail tech) that was standing around, as sometimes they do talk about you behind your back. This tech had the nerve to talk about my feet the whole time he did them. He asked how long it had been since I had a pedicure, then laughed and said I lie that it had had to been years. I was told I would have to pay an extra $5 because my feet needed a callus treatment. As he muddled if I have to work you got to pay for my time, and the fellow tech shook her head. Now as most know this is something normally included in all pedicures. When they use a callus shaver, or pumice stone at the bottom of your feet. I was baffled as I looked at the service the lady next to me received from (a mature nail tech). She got her callus treatment and much more time and detail were given to her feet (which yes looked worse than mine) was not talked about. When it was time for the polish I told him I wanted a design and was trying to explain what I wanted. He took none of this into consideration and just did what he wanted. He did do a good job on the two toes with designs (pretty, although not what I asked for) however he just slung polish on my other toes and they didn't look professionally painted at all, a 5yr old could have done as well. After he was done he asked if he could do my nails. I said no, he asked why not and said he wanted to do my nails because I have pretty nails but ugly feet. Then he asked if I was sure. I once again said no, he asked if I would pay him. I paid him the total amount for the service reaching for exact change from my purse. He counted the money, and then said NO TIP? At which point I gave him a look after which I didn't see him anymore as I let my feet dry for 10 minutes under the UV light/fan. Read Less

Every time some different helps you and every time they charge you a full set. There is only one girl that does good nails. Last time they filled too much one of my nails and left half of it the skin exposed. I have acrylic gel nails and only loved the first time I went to them. I have been to them 3 consecutive times.
