A bit small and my nail tech didn't do a great job on my long nails. I'm used to a nice shine from my gel polish. He missed the sides of my nails & they look a bit dull. I patronize this business for three years . New management came recently and a new manicure tech name Taylor begin doing my nails. I started feeling uncomfortable Feeling like the business no longer welcome other ethic people any longer. . I was told this week they couldn't service me anymore. Horrible manicure. Extremely rude staff. Woman doing my nails was so rude to me. She wouldNot do the French manicure that I asked for and then told me I better choose a color fast cause she's not taking it off again. Never been treated like that. I came here two weeks ago to get a gel mani and a pedi. I'm not really a pedicure snob so it was quick but I didn't mind. The gel manicure is great though!! It's been two weeks and it's not chipping or lifting up by nail beds like most manicures do. I wish I lived closer but I might just have to make the trek from Elkridge. I arrived to get service. As soon as she walked in the service provider gave me a "not so friendly" look and told me that it would be a 15 min wait...I was a little uncomfortable with her greeting but I got over it...15 mins turned into 30 and I noticed people that were coming in AFTER me were being serviced. When I got up to inquire about this; the same lady then told me it would be an hour. I got the feeling that they didn't want my money, so I left. I have been going to Dulaney Nails for 3 years or so since I go to Towson University. I understand Vietnamese, and when the nail techs are speaking in Vietnamese it is not about you but that's their first language and they are just talking to each other like normal coworkers. If you not rude to them, they will not be rude to you like any normal person. There is definitely a culture barrier but if you try to understand them, they are very friendly. I usually get Nina or Natalie they are super nice and skillful.If you do not want to wait, call and see when there is someone available or make an appointment. I went here in February, 2017 to try a new place. I've lived in the Baltimore/Towson area for ten years and haven't found a fantastic nail place.I walked in and it was packed. Every station was full and multiple people were in the tint waiting area. I was asked what I wanted and I said, 'a manicure/pedicure.' The employee at the front didn't respond, and just looked away. I figured that meant 'ok' so I sat and waited.Mutliple customers came in after me and were all signing in and finding a seat in the waiting room, besides one who asked how long for a manicure and the employee said 20 minutes. I understand if a place is busy, but I wasn't told to sign in, and at that​ point was at least behind 5 people who came in after me. No communication, no customer service. I ended up walking out and going to Future Nails on York Rd, about a 3 minute drive from this salon. I'll never attempt to return here. Read Less

I just had a not so great experience here. I have gel nail extensions (no plastic fake nail tip, it's just gel that's built up and cured under a light). I broke two nails (my salon was booked) and saw that they have liquid gel sets on their services. I asked when I came in. They said yes, they could fix them. I figured I'd get a pedicure too while I was there. The pedicure was okay, not terrible, but she left polish smudged on my skin. Then when I went to have my nails fixed she pulled out acrylic (powder and liquid) and plastic nails tips. When I said no, just the gel (which is NOT acrylic, it literally comes in a pot as a GEL, not an acrylic powder). She got really nasty with me and said she needed to put a fake tip on, which I am not crazy about. I considered it, because I didn't want to walk around with two broken nails, and when I asked if it would look even with the other nails, she said she didn't know. Then told me literally, "go back to shop where I came from".  I understand if she couldn't do it, but no need for the attitude and definitely not cool to try and pass off acrylic as gel and charge more for it. I have been going here for over a year. When you walk in you are greeted by everyone. Natalie has taken care of me with the upmost professionalism and does an excellent job on my nails. I had a guy technician and didn't like it at all.He rushed me to get over to the pedi area while I'm still looking at colors and hit my hand to relax when I was getting mani...He rushed everything and I just felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable. I didn't want to give him tip right before applying the mani. He tap on the desk and said"put money here" I said I will but not right now. I wanted to make sure I will get what I paid for. This was the absolute worse salon experience I have ever encountered. I came in for a fill in and pedicure. First, I waited 10 minutes with 6 free technicians and one other client in the entire establishment. When the pedicure started, the water was cold. The basic pedicure basically means one you can do at home. It wasn't worth the time or money. I am still upset with myself for not leaving after that.The fill in was torture. The technician hit my skin with the nail file so much my cuticle started to bleed and I began to cry. I flinched every time she nicked me and her response was to sigh deeply and then angrily chat with her coworkers. I have never been so humiliated in my life. I have nothing but good things to say about Dulaney Nails. It's super hygienic with the plastic liners that surround the pedicure basins, all tools are auto claved and they are very gentle but thorough. Today I had the pleasure of receiving a pedicure with V and she was amazing! As a pregnant lady it takes me a little more time to get settled but she assisted me, talked with me and was very attentive. I typically get the deluxe pedicure and after having a pedicure done previously at Dulaney Nails, I can truthfully say the polish is good quality, not watered down or thinned out.
