Went to get me and my sister nails done here Saturday, the lady at the front never made eye contact with me she was looking down at something over the counter the whole time. I asked for was a fill in along with a nail repair and they gave me a run around of where to sit and who would do my nail. Once the lady came to do my nails you could tell she had an attitude. She reshaped my nails which was something i did not ask for, the repaired nail was crooked and uneven. As another lady did my little sister (2yrs old) nails, my sister hit her toe and messed the polish up, when i asked if someone could fix it they look forever and did a HORRIBLE job, so i told the lady who did my nails i wasn’t leaving until her toes were fixed neatly. She went to get the polish with an attitude and came back giving my TWO YEAR OLD sister a evil eye. To top it all off, soon as we got home from the salon my sister polish came off and my nails began to chip .. I HAVE GEL NAIL POLISH, everyone knows GEL IS NOT SUPPOSED TO CHIP. So I went back on Tuesday to get it fixed and when i asked to speak to their manager a staff member yelled at me across the shop and when i asked him if he could come up to me he told me to wait and got on his phone and never came. I've been going to TT nails now for over a year, I have a pedicure and acrylics. They ALWAYS do a fantastic job, sometimes my infills can be four weeks in-between and I've never lost a nail. My pedicure is always brilliant, removing all my horrid hard skin. I'd struggle to find somewhere better for quality and price! Read Less

Filthy dirty unsanitaryThey initially made me sit in the middle of three nail techs that were eating at their workstations and sit there in the middle of their food and their meal. Then they made me move to another chair that was covered in nail dust on the chair and I had to clean it off before I sat down, and the table had drippings of grease from food and nail dust from previous clients. To top it off, when I asked the nail tech to clean the station, he got very angry at me and did it after rolling his eyes and then speaking in Vietnamese to all of his coworkers. If I could give this place no stars I would. First of all I’ve been waiting all day. Putting customers before even though they just came in. On top of the that the man who did my nails rushed and act like he didn’t want to do them at all... I went to TT nails for the 1st time yesterday after moving to Newmarket from Slough. I went to my old salon in Slough for over 10 years so I was quite nervous. I arrived on time for my appointment and was seen straight away. I had an acrylic infill and normal polish on my toes. The guy doing my nails did exactly as I asked and I am very pleased with the initial results. My infills usually last around 2 - 2 1/2 weeks so am keen to see how I get on. The customer service is TERRIBLE I don't recommend anyone spend they hard earned money at VIP NAILS. The quality of product they use is a mess and cheap my nails chipped the day I got them done my feet didn't even last 2 weeks they don't do good pedicures everything with them is rushed the staff always has a big turn over & what staff they do have is RUDE the pedicure chairs don't work and the staff just wants you to spend money on products and try to fast talk you into spending money. AWFUL EXPERIENCE & HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. The lady who did my pedicure cut me really bad then tried to hide the fact that I was bleeding. Then they tried to charge me an extra 5 dollars because I chose to get regular polish instead of gel for my fill-in. When I told the manager about my cut they only offered me 5 dollars off which means that I would have been paying the regular price ($40) for the "special" they offer because they were charging me $45 for regular polish. I told them I wasn't happy with that so we settled on $35 (just to keep my peace). The lady who did my nails messed up multiple times then when I asked her to fix it, had an attitude, raised her voice at me, etc. so I finally got fed up and said I just wanted my money back! This is ok. It's a very clean place to get nails done. The pedi is always great here. However, almost every nail tech has cut me. The older ladies don't particularly do a good job on my nails. I like square nails, they always make them uneven and chunky looking. The gel is great though, no chip or wear. But nails always break here. Wait times are strenuous . I will be fair with my review... the first time I had my nails done at TT nails, I was so impressed, they looked amazing and lasted 3 weeks with no lifting. Me and my sister went a 2nd time for infills, I showed the nail tech a picture and asked if he was able to do what I asked and he said yes... then when it came to doing my nails I feel that he had bitten off more than he could chew and them was swarmed with a few customers, his response to the picture I showed him a secon...d time with my chosen colours was 'I don't feel like painting that colour today' so I showed him another picture and he claimed that the tools used in the photo were stickers (I know this is untrue) not wanting to cause a scene I sat quietly and let him paint what he wanted... at the end I had barbie glitter nails (which I hated) I paid, went to my car and cried. The next day after I had calmed down, I went back and asked if I could have my nails done in the colour I asked for...the nail tech was rude to me and even tried to overcharge me... although my nails are now one of the colours I wanted, they are lumpy and I will now be forking out even more money to have them done better somewhere else. Ok. So I am a fan of this shop "Again" and I was raised in the area so I definition know the truth. This is just a fair/factual post for both sides. The neighborhood was previously TEERRRIBLE but theyve condemned all of the bad Apartments so that rid of most of the bad The shop was previously dirty and that's why I previously stop going The shop made some pretty significant upgrades which really added to the shop and cater to the sanitary needs of the customers... As far as attitude hell you find that everywhere. In many cases, customers reap what they sow. Then they quickly get upset because they were initially the rude person The special is really only special for those who need what the offer states. Basic math will tell you that. Lastly everything is not for everyone so you have to pick what works for you. In this case VIP is not THE best but it is not the worse. Its not a Spa. Its not your High end luxery Nail salon at all. Went here because my girl Christie was not at Reju Nails in Upper Marlboro so I decided to come here. I always drive past it on my way home and I figured what the heck. The location is a little suspect but it's doable. I park my car and go in. Must have been a slow day because it was empty. I went in for a simple mani pedi. I was immediately sent to the back where the pedi chairs are. I was actually surprised as to how nice they were and the ship was clean. She put a fresh bowl cover on and set the water just right. The chair is nice however, set your own massage!! The one she picked damn near knocked my spine out my back. You would have thought I was having convulsions back there. I cut it off immediately. Anyways, she did a good job on my feet. The mani was horrible. She just dipped my hands in a bowl of hot water and then polished my nails after she pushed back my cuticles. I didn't like how the nail dry table was in the walkway but it did dry my nails. However....this must have been the cheapest polish that they could find! Two stars. Special is $40 hands toes and eyebrows. Technician was rough on feet. Cut skin on toes. Got callus treatment which began to burn because of cuts. Technician didn't seem to care about my discomfort. A different technician did my hands and was fast and jerked my hands around. Only reason I go to this salon is because it's close and color choices are better than other places. Went when salon opened technicians seemed mad or irritated. These people have not an ounce of customer service. A year and half ago when certain people were there it was a great place but now after the experience i had in there i wouldn't set a toe in you establishment! $40 dollar special is a rip off my nails are shitty, i sat in regular cold ass water for almost an hour before someone noticed i existed. This place has an awesome special! You can get your nails, toes and eyebrows done for 40$. One thing I love about this place is they are CLEAN, they have plastic liners in their pedicure tubs and always use clean tools out of the packet. They also have Over 200 gel colors to choose from. They do deal with some crazy people but they have always been appreciative of my business. I have bought many friends here and they have all been satisfied with their service. Come early if you don't want to wait. Overall, the staff is very accommodating and friendly so I will continue to come to VIP. Went there on 1/30/2016 - arrived at 11:45 am and did not leave until after 2pm.  Had the quickest non professional service.  The lady who sits in the second row up against the wall had a rude nasty demeanor and rushed my manicure and pedicure.  I selected a light pink polish that she did not want to use because she stated my nails where too short.  Like IM the customer dont tell me what color I can or cannot use.  She then proceeded to give me the quickest pedicure EVER.  Chicks who were getting pedicures when I walked back there - were still receiving service my quicke.  Now you would think with 12+ stations they would have more than 2 dry stations.  So chicks who just received a fill or polish - took up the 2 seats - which meant your toes have to air dry.  After getting a seat - my toe polish was completely wet and smeared off my toes when I tapped it to see if the polish was dry I informed the young lady - that I needed my polish changed -so after telling 2 other staff members the young lady who I assume was the manager re-polished my toes.  I was so disgusted I walked out in the paper slippers they gave me(I had left my flip- flops in the car).  Oh -- and one more thing - Ms. Nasty attitude asked me if I wanted to put a tip on my credit.  I completely told her NO.  Here's your tip - You will make more money if you take your time, provide good service and SMILE more.Never Again... After reading the reviews I expected the experience to be less than stellar. I was pleasantly surprised by how attentive and professional the man who did my mani pedicure was. The rap videos in the pedicure area was a turnoff, but I guess it's ok with other clientele. If I return I'd bring my own polish; theirs is low quality. Read Less

I went to the salon a few days ago and was seen by a technician fairly quickly. The technician however seemed to be having a bad day. I tried to make small talk, but she gave me one word answers and talked to the other technicians in their native language the whole time. when I asked her to use three nail polishes she told it would be extra and i was better off with no more than two. I was willing to pay extra  but the entire time i wanted something she would try to change my mind. More so I believe so that it was less work for her and not so much what I (the customer) really wanted. the nail job was decent, when i initially asked for my tips to be filed shorter b/c i cant type with long nails she looked at me and said they were already short, I practically had to beg her to file them down. The special is $35 , once you're done you'll be at a mysterious $45 or $50. Don't choose an OPI color, because if you do they charge an extra $3. live Suitland area close by th salon, and everytime time i go to this salon i have least than a poor experience. I do like the fact that they do have specials often and thats what draws me to the salon (more than excellent). But their nail technicans are money hungry and not quality givers. My last expeirence was horrible and line drawing to NEVER step foot in that salon again. I was charged extra money to get my nails shaped oval and they were croocked, uneven, sloppy, and looks as if an ametuer did them. I also got a pedicure and my toe nails were cut and they all on a slant I asked around to see if it was just me and others agree. The technician that cut and put acrylic on my nails had another person paint my nails (by the way the person who painted my nails was not an employee at the shop). I do light admistrative work a day and a half my pinky nail broke off and my pointer nails on the opposite han has a split in it. (I am beyond livid at this point). In my whole entire life Ihave never experienced such bad quality ( i paid a hefty amount as well). Before I left the shop I let the manager know about the terrible experince he told me to go back to the technican who i fully alerted that i was unhappy with the job he was doing. They have great specials and great technicians.  The only downfall is when it starts to get crowded you are rushed through.  When I went, they request you pull a number.  I waited for my number and watched as what I suppose to be regulars just plopped down into the pedicure stations disregarding the number.  Customers were eating and drinking and not like snacks....I'm talking real food!! That turned me off. The nail techs said nothing but I've never been to a place where eating is allowed.....let along while in the chair.  My pedicure went great once done I was sent to the front for my full set. I waited nearly 20 minutes and finally someone came to do mine.  It felt rushed. I always get just the tips polished. I advised the guy of this at the start and that i wanted a design on a nail on each hand.  He asked if I could pay first before the polishing began...i had not problem with that.  Then when he started the polish I reminded him again of just the tips only.  He told me I could no longer get a design because just polishing the tips are now extra!!!!
