Jenny is awesome, takes her time and does a great job. However, there is a lady named TT there and she is beyond rude and unprofessional. She consistently makes comments about customers’ weights by calling them fat and telling them to exercise. Also, she rushes and does a poor job. Read Less

She accidentally cut my toe nail at a slant which then caused an ingrown toenail to form. She also snipped skin off of my ring finger when she was doing my cuticles. It started bleeding. She apologized and then went on to use alcohol on it later and when I flinched she said she “forgot”. She was more busy talking with her friends than with concentrating on what she was doing. After researching long and hard for where I want to get my nails, I finally settled with Star nails! I called in before I went to see if I would be seen when I arrive and asked for the price of gel manicure ($32). The nail technician That did my nails was Annie. She was very nice and told me to take my time on choosing my color. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she offered many colors. She even sampled some colors for me to see if I liked the color. I choose two different colors OPI (22&72). I wanted an pink with light glitter. She applied two coats of 72 and one of 22. She told me that it will be 5 coats in total with base and top coat. She also told me that it might be a little thick and asked if that was okay. When she finished she asked me if this was the color I wanted and made sure it was the exact color. I also expected that it will cost a little more because I had two colors and an extra coat but it was still $32. Was very please, and will definitely recommend this place!! Read Less

I honestly wouldn't even give them one star. Very unprofessional the lady who did my nails didn't even paint my nails all the way she got nail polish all over my skin and she was extremely rude and i don't know any type of nail salon that doesn't take off cuticles before putting any nail polish on to a nail. I got a French pedicure & it was extremely sloppy; the white tips were uneven on several nails & the clear polish was visible and gave off a white crust. Before I left I asked to have a couple of the white tips fixed. When I got home I saw that I missed my pinky toe which was totally uneven in the corner. The cost was $30. I love this place. The ladies are super friendly, they are very professional and super clean. Prices are reasonable and they always do a great job, I've never experienced a nail tech rush my nails. The pedicure chairs are pretty updated and the sinks have LED lights. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the color selection. They're aren't many at the shop. There are gel color selections but not many regular polish. I totally recommend this place! Read Less

I had an ok experience here. I tried this shop because my normal shop did not have an opening during my lunch break. My nails came out nice appearance wise but really did not last, after about a week and a half I got lots of little cracks on the sides, don't know if you can all it cracks............but the acrylic started to lift a bit, but only on the sides. But never-the-less, fill with gel polish should have lasted longer.So, hmmm, would I try again. Maybe cause shop was nice, staff really friendly and nice. Prices were reasonable. I think I'd ask for a bit thicker coat of product in my fill. I wish I could give 3.5 cause I did like the shop. But for fill with gel polish, I need it to last two weeks and this did not. My top coat also peeled some and for gel products that's a no no. Read Less

Overall, a good experience. I walked in on a Sunday around 3pm, no wait. I was sent directly to the back to get my pedicure started. Great job on feet. Then to my gel manicure, she was a little faster then I like but I do not see many imperfections. I also had my brows and lip done. I've been coming here for about 3 months now after I got frustrated with my other nail salon/technician always rushing and doing a poor job with my nails. I have only gotten gel polish, eyebrows, and my upper lip wax here so my review is on those services only. This is the only place I've been that my gel nails actually stay on for 2 weeks without chipping or anything. I usually pay $52 for all three services. They take credit cards however you can only tip in cash. I've never left here disappointed. Once you find a good technician, stick with them, sometimes I can't always get an appointment when I want but I eventually get in and don't mind it. Read Less

Had a horrible experience today. The lady attending to me got mad when I told her that because I have arthritis in my big toe to please be gentle. Said in broken English that she was being gentle and that she couldn't do my nails. She got up and walked off and started attending to another customer. No one came over an apologized or offered to take over. Instead after I took my feet out of the water, dried them off and put on my shoes another employee came over and asked if I wanted my nails done. Don't recommend the service. Read Less

Star Nails is an all time favorite of mine. I've actually been a patron to this salon for the past 15 years on and off. The only reason that I stopped visiting this salon frequently is because I moved out of the area. Management has been the same for since I began coming here and all of the employees are great.This salon offers a variety of services, great customer service, consistently good work, a warm atmosphere and they keep up with all of the nail trends.I stop by for manicures, pedicures and eye brow waxing whenever I'm in the area and most of my friends visit this salon religiously.
