This was definitely not the best manicure pedicure or treatment I have received at a nail salon.  As a busy mom,  I  finally got time to leave the house so i did not come into the salon looking like a princess. When the manicurist asked if she could do my eyebrows and I said no and she gave me an exasperated look. She then commented on my other treatments my face needed...not polite. :(The manicure and pedicure were not great. They are filled with bubbles and the top coat does not run to the edges. I see a lot of negative reviews but I am solely basing my experience with Trang. I had never been here prior to her working here. I followed her from a previous nail salon because she does the most amazing pedicures. I am a person that likes a heavy hand and a firm massage. I work very hard and recently had twins, considering I  feel like a brand-new person when she does my pedicure, I will follow her anywhere. Maybe not another state but you get the jist. I will say that the salon is clean, it has a friendly atmosphere and there has plenty of parking. It's also very convenient for me because my gym, Starbucks and one of my favorite places to eat is in the same shopping center. Read Less

DO NOT COME HERE. I could write a novel on how bad this place is but here are the highlights -Had an appointment but other people, who arrived after me, were seen first. I waited an hour for a simple manicure. -Watched one technician pour a bowl of acetone for a girl to get her acrylics off, let the girl soak her nails in it, and then pour it back into the bottle. Disgusting. -Nail tech used her nail to push back my cuticles, not a tool. -Very aggressive about getting eyebrows waxed and getting gel not regular polish. -Nails ended up so sloppy. She did a rush job, didn't let any of it dry, and covered my fingers in it. When I asked her to clean it up, she barely did. My nails are a mess. Will never return. Read Less

Unfortunately it seems Ahn is the only technician left with any talent. I went in for the usual gel mani and regular pedi. I decided to come in last minute without making an appointment with Ahn and I will not be making that mistake ever again.It really is difficult when the technicians don't speak English and aren't able to understand what you want. I made the lady redo the gel mani with another color but it seems she wasn't understanding what I was saying. I tried to be polite and ended up giving a 20% tip to the lady. But let's just say when I got home and took a closer look I was incredibly unsatisfied. To be quite blunt I could have done a better job myself. I will not be coming back unless Ahn is free and available.Word of advice to management: do not lose Ahn. She is your star player and will continue to keep me coming back as long as she is there. It was my first time getting acrylic nails. The lady did an okay job I suppose. Some of my nails were crooked and not straight but it's not really noticeable. However I've only had the nails for less than a day and the polish has already been squished. The actual nail polish looks horrible and cheap. I don't think I will be coming back to this place. DO not WASTE  you're money it's 40 dollars to get you're nails done which is already kinda on the pricey side  but 40 bucks for them to be chipping the next day not to mention acrylic everywhere which had to get fixed 3 days later so really if you think about my trip to this nail salon cost me 70 buck ahh!!!  (I dont even wanna think about it) but I digress..my current nail lady looked at my nails and said " maybe she's new"  I can't stress how bad it was  maybe I just got the wrong nail tech but but not only did she mess up my nails was rude so if you want my advise stay away stay far away !!! I was looking for a local place that was affordable but also gave great results. I stumbled upon this little gem on Yelp and it had the most reviews and some happy customers posted their manicures. Upon coming in I was directed by the receptionist to the polish selection. He helped me pic out colors for my design when I showed him a photo of some nail art. The woman who did my nails didn't introduce herself. I don't think she spoke much english. She was speedy, careful, even a bit OCD on the detail (which I like because my nails look amazing because of it) and gave me a wonderful hand massage. I lost my waxing virginity when I came here to get my eyebrows waxed back in 1998. I loved what my esthetician (sp?) did and how she did it, but for some reason, things have changed. Maybe we've grown apart - I don't know. I also used to get my manicures/pedicures done here, which have been great and there seem to be tons and tons of regulars...But I chose to look somewhere else for several reasons. - Fluorescent lights. There's something I just can't stand about fluorescent lights! - This place is pretty cozy (euphemism for small, hello!) and I've had to wait for a while to get my things taken care of. Not a big fan of waiting.- It always makes me feel uncomfortable when the staff talk in their native language to one another the entire time. I can't blame them, but there's something that's less warm about an atmosphere like that.- Unlike at the new place I go to (TLC Nails in Rockville), Sang's has never gone out of their way to show me how sanitary they are with their tools. Not that I know for a fact that they are UNsanitary, per se, but there is reason for suspicion.Bottom line: I don't necessarily recommend against going here because it's decent, but I'm just informing of you of my preference to go somewhere else.
