My experience was so terrible I felt compelled to leave a review here and on yelp. And I don’t usually write reviews unless they’re really really good service. I made an appointment twice with Lee and both times she completely forgot my appointment. The first time I forgave, you know we’re all human I assumed she just made a mistake. Even though it was inconvenient to me, she does good work so I decided to forgive her. The second time I made the appointment I watched her write it down in her notebook and swear to me she wouldn’t forget the second time. I just walked in for my appointment and guess what? She forgot! She asked me to come back tomorrow. I told her I can’t so she asked if someone else could do my pedicure. I waited around for about 10 minutes, no one came, and then just walked out. I have never had such bad service in Washington DC. And that’s saying something! I’m not a bad customer, I never cancel, I never come in late, and I tip really well. I’ve been here at least 30+ times, I have refered numerous friends and relatives to the business, I always pay cash and I tip generously to say the least. I’m kind, polite and I only ever want something simple. I usually get a full set/fill and a gel spa pedicure. I was a regular and the manager/owner: Koi and he knew me by name. With all that said- in the beginning the service and experiences were great and I always received quality professional work from a variety of techs. However, over the last year in particular- I can no longer say that. Especially for pedicures, for the prices they charge the pedicure needs to be thorough.... and they have truly been doing half ass jobs and rushing through clients. I have seen some severely rude interactions and bad nail jobs everytime I’ve been in there as of late. Please go elsewhere. The team at this salon needs to remember why they started and what made them successful in the first place—- it was because they were kind and did quality work. Had my nails (gel) done by "Cathy" and it looked good, two days later I noticed the ends fraying and that the polish was mostly down the middle of the nails, the edges and ends were almost bare of product. Also the middle with the most coverage was see-through to the nail bed (skimping on product). I went back 4 days later and was told that the previous manicure looked fine and had to pay full price for a re-do. They did NOT like to hear I wasn't happy. The re-do manicure was better, but I should not have had to pay full price twice. Maybe if you get to know certain techs you can get better service... Gave this place a try based on yelp reviews and location being near my home. I asked to have my current set removed to start over fresh with a new shorter full set. What happened to me is unacceptable. The nails were not taken off correctly resulting in several bloody nails and left my nails in pain. Another tech who may be the owner or manager came over and tried to help me and told me to let my nails heal for 3 days and he would fix them for me for free. Best nail salon in Wheaton/Silver Spring area.  I've played the rounds with nail salons in this area, so I feel totally confident in saying this.  Not your traditional nail salon.  The staff is very professional and their equipment is always up-to-date.  My services have included gel nails and pedicure with Lee and waxing with Kathy.  Koi the owner is also very good and in high demand. I really don't like when nail salons nickel and dime for every little thing , and then only provide mediocre service. I went in to get a fill in and asked for rounded edges... Not almond or stilleto, just rounded, and they charged $5 extra dollars. Really? Also, an extra $5 to fix a nail that was coming off. $25 for a fill in that didn't even look that great. My new favorite nail spot since moving to Silver Spring!!! The staff here are super sweet and they're very efficient. My technician is a sweet younger guy named Ken. He's very meticulous with his work which I love and appreciate. All around sweet staff. I will note that it isn't ever quiet or zen in there. Had an amazing time the first time I went with a yo. Unfortunately, the second time I had the complete opposite experience. She squared my nails when I asked for round then another employee had to fix her mistake. I can go on and on about where she went wrong but that's not the purpose of this.if u find a person in there who can do your nails, only let them do it from that point on. Came here for the second time yesterday after being impressed by the quality of my gel mani+pedi the first time! Left super happy once again :) The highlights:-Good quality AND good prices! They charge $25 (!!!) for a gel mani and $20 for a pedi. The last few times I was there, Ken (my nail tech) put in extra effort to add a few extra coats to my nails to make them last longer. -Decent color selection: They have a pretty wide variety of colors, from neon to pastel...metallics to glitter. Pretty accommodating for anyone's tastes!It seems like Khoi is the popular nail tech here, so when I came here for the first time, I was set up with Ken. But after seeing his attention to detail and diligence to make sure my nails looked even and perfect, I'll definitely continue to request him in the future!! Now I'm a regular here and I love it! But my experience today was unacceptable. I called at 7pm today to ask if my mom can come in for a full set and pedicure. The man that answered the phone (said his name was KOH and that he was the manager) said my mom can come in but there would be a wait. He then said never mind you can't come. I asked him "why would you tell me to come in and wait then tell me no never mind". He made a huge sigh and said "Gooood damnnnnn I just told you, No!" I asked why are you cursing at me? He said he didn't, I then told him he was on speaker and people heard you. Then said said "FINE, I'm sorry", with an attitude. As I ask to speak to someone else, he hung up one me. I called again asking for his cosmotology license number, he laughed at me and hung up again. I called again, he gave the phone to the woman he was doing her nails (she told me he was doing her nails) and she laughed as well. If that ain't ghetto, idk what is. Then I asked her to give the phone to another employee, she gave the phone back to the man that claimed he was a manager "Koh". He hung up on me again. I felt so disrespected. I've never been treated this way by any nail tech anywhere. I will be contacting better business bureau. Unprofessional and disrespectful without a care in the world. I always come here, but today I received the worst customer service and and I won't be coming back. My friend and I called in twice trying to make appointments but they said they weren't taking appointments today. So we walked in was told there was a 30 minute wait for a pedicure so we decided to wait. I sat there for a hour watching endless people being serviced and when I asked about the line I was told they got priority because they had appointments. Me and my sister decided to check this place out and they arent open and dont answer the phone. We arrived around 9:50 and its about 10:20. They open at 10 supposedly.
