I’ve been overcharged twice...my nails have been done super fast and don’t look good considering the amount I spend (and I always tip each technician $10 each for pedicure and refill). I've been to this nail salon multiple times, not because it's so good, because it was nearby. After this last experience I had to write a review to warn others. There's one main nail technician, an older lady, a man that does fill-ins & lady that does pedicures. I decided to get a full set so I removed my tips & acrylic at home, filed my nails & prepared them the day before going. When I arrived it should've been a simple, good experience, but no, apparently I was expecting far too much. She put my tips on, then asked the length I wanted. Since they tend to cut them too short, AND because I always have to file them myself in order to have even, well shaped nails I told her to cut them a little longer than I really wanted to leave room for me to fix them. She then proceeded to tell me she was going to charge me extra for longer nails, but I knew the place where I told her to cut them was actually right before it would be considered long so I told her that's not considered long. She argued that it was so I said fine to paying the additional $5. She actually cut them way too long but I let it be since I was going to file them down anyway. Then she asked me what shape I wanted. I replied "Oval". She then proceeded to tell me she would also charge me extra for Oval shaped nails! I've never in 20+ years of getting my nails done been told it's extra for oval nails! Pointy nails, yes, but Oval!? At this point I was annoyed, & her attitude was getting progressively worse. She pulls out a new board with nail shapes on it and points at the oval shape as if that's proof I should suddenly be charged extra for them. So I asked her which shapes will she do at no additional cost and she said "Only square". Anyone that's been getting their nails done knows there are four basic shapes that all the salons do at no additional cost, & oval is one of them, but I digress. She pulled out her little scissors and reached to cut the tips off my nails telling me that she paid for them and they belong to her! I never once said I don't want them done. Another lady came over trying her best in her broken English to explain to me that the lady paid for the tips and I guess trying to say it wasn't fair for me to have them (?). I told that lady to do my nails and give her 10 tips since she clearly didn't want to finish my nails, but I was informed she doesn't know how to do them. Keep in mind a set of pro tips is literally a few dollars for an entire box so these tips are worth pennies-literally. Also, prior to her attempts to cut my nails off I had already told her to go ahead and do the square since I was going to file them myself anyway, as usual- which she KNOWS I file them myself bc she always talks about how I file them once she's done. I told her I wasn't going to remove those nails because she had already filed over my entire nail, thinning it, and if she took them off it would leave them weak and brittle. She kept trying to grab my hand pointing her scissors to cut my nails until I finally said "Do you really think I'm going to let you cut these tips off my nails?". I wasn't going to run away with her precious $0.07 worth of tips so I told her as much as I wanted to leave to finish them like I had previously said to do. She added the acrylic, when she finished my right hand I noticed a dent in the pinky and showed her (politely) & she gave me an evil stare squinting her eyes at me- no joke. Idk how the dent got there but nonetheless... Wow. She finished. They looked terrible. I was embarrassed to go into Walmart with those nails afterwards. They were too long, a terrible shape, and later, after I was gone, I realized she put a VERY THIN layer of acrylic on them, intentionally. The whole purpose of the fresh set was to get a thicker layer of acrylic on them. I didn't need a full set. I was so upset that I felt it best I not return. Two days later 2 nails broke. The staff was very nice and I had a very enjoyable experience with my friends. That being said, my manicure is chipping after only 2 days. I got the basic manicure and I at least expected the polish to last 4-5 days. I was sadly mistaken. The polish on the ends of each nail has faded and chipped by today (Monday) and I just got them done mid-day Saturday. Disappointed. Read Less

I only went here Bc I was in the area. The ladies are pushy. I'm not cheap but sometimes I am on a budget and not trying to spend 40 dollars JUST on nails. I just wanted regular polish and they kept pestering me to get gel. Then I finally get in the chair and tell her I want long coffin nails and she says oh 5$ extra for length and shape Bc the regular price is only for short square or round nails. I said oh no thank you I think I'll leave now. Yes it was just 5 dollars, but I'm not gonna be nickled and dimed here when I can go to Hollywood nails on Crain or nail club and get any shape or length for the regular price. Read Less

Showed up when it was 90+ degrees outside and they didn't have the A/C on even though there was another costumer in the shop. I asked trch about it because I was 7 months pregnant at the time and couldn't stand to sit in that heat and supposedly she turned it on. Trying to save money??? There was one nail tech and she allowed my feet to soak saying it would only be ten minutes, 20 minutes later I left it was too hot and she wasn't even close to being finished with the other costumers pedicure. Also someone had walked in 30 minutes before closing requesting a pedicure and the tech agreed to it but then later complained how rude customers are requesting a service so close to closing time. Complaining about customers to other customers probably wasn't the brightest idea. Read Less

If I could give a minus star I would. Their polish is  so old they put 5 coats of polish on my nails. And who has time to sit for an hour for your nails to dry. Then the lady says see you next time buddy. First, I'm no one's buddy & second, not in this lifetime. Big disappointment! Read Less

First time visiting this salon. I needed a pedicure to start off sandal season. With the temperatures rising, I wanted to be ready. I did not check reviews prior to my visit. Which was a good thing because I probably would have chosen another salon. I chose them because they are conveniently close to me. They were not that busy, however it was the middle of a Tuesday. I was immediately seated in one of the spa chairs after choosing my nail color. A quick glance around the place appeared clean and organized. I had originally only wanted a basic pedi, but - like any good salesperson- the nail tech upsold me on the deluxe (after a winter of boots, socks, and closed toe shoes - my feet needed the extra pampering). The difference in price was not that much (to me). The woman that did my pedi -and I did not get her name - take extra time making sure not to be painful and she was so exact with the polish. It was worth the few extra dollars to be pampered. All in all a very pleasurable experience. Everyone in the shop was friendly and outgoing. I would strongly suggest reading previous reviews with an open mind and give this shop a chance!  I know I will be back. Read Less

If I could give zero stars I would!!! Went in for the first time for dipping powder which is what I get. My nails soaked for 20 minutes and the previous product did not come off easily so instead of doing it properly she ripped my natural nails!! I've never gotten fake nails, so I got acrylic. I wanted almond shaped nails and it's not really super almond shaped. Pretty, but not that kind of pointy-round shape I was expecting. I'll bring a reference picture next time. Also she kinda hit above my thumb's cuticle with the dremmel and after a few days it still hurts. But they were fun and very friendly. I come here because the location is convenient from my home, but the staff always remembers me and is very friendly, even if I don't come often.I've had a manicure here years ago and it was really bad, but working in the food industry keeps me from having to endure manicures and bad paint jobs, so I stick with pedicures.The deluxe pedicure includes a callus removal, a lemon scrub (amazing) and your choice of a mud mask or hot paraffin wax for $40. I think the basic pedicure is $23 and basic manicure is $15I also get my eyebrows done every 6-8 weeks when I have time, it's $10 and quick. It's clean, there are tvs and two huge displays of nail polish, a huge assortment of gels, and they do reflexology here too. Read Less

I moved from Seattle WA and back home i was with the same nail salon for over 5 years and loved them. Before that salon, i saw my other guy for over 4 years. I was really hoping that i could find that here. I have been really disappointed. To be fair they changed ownership since i started going there. When i first got here in Maryland i started going there and they did an ok job, wasn't the best. Stop going there for a while and then for my birthday my boyfriend said go get your nails and feet done. Not only did they rush thru my pedicure my nails were horrible. I left them the way they were and wend back to get a fill. they told me that i needed a new set and then i told them that i just got them done 2 weeks prior. They found the problem and said that they would fix it for my fill price. I was happy that they fixed their mistake and took ownership over it. However, i still wasn't very happy with other fills that i had done by them. but i liked my nails done so i still went. The last straw was when i got my nails filled and they charged me to shorten them. They are over priced and push things in your face that you've already said that you didn't want. Not your typical sweat shop nail salon...if you like beautiful surroundings and quality service this is the place....don't expect to be in and out quickly, because quality takes time....and recommend an appointment, to secure your spot, although walk-ins are welcome...husband and wife owned it's my favorite nail salon in the area....very classy..
