I was their client for a half a year. Today I made an appointment, came on time and at first they tell me for 10 minutes, then for another 10 minutes. Every time they were saying “I will be with you shortly”. I left after 20 minutes of wait. I hate bad client service ruining my plans for a day! I have been here multiple times and every visit has been great! Super friendly, helpful staff that will go out of their way to make sure your comfortable and happy. Not to mention amazing mani/pedi and super clean environment! Last time, I realized I didn't have money for tip. When I explained I would be back in an hour after I picked up my daughter, she replied, "I just want you to be happy, spend time with your daughter, don't worry about it."   When I came back an hour later with the tip,  she was so genuinely  surprised, grateful and happy.  Such a refreshing experience from other salons I have been to. I came in here with my mom and little sister a few days ago. I went to get acrylics + gel done for my graduation nails. There was a 5-10 minute wait, but then there were a lot of people who started to come in. Some who came in very late to their appointment. The ladies working there knew I was first but they took in everyone but me. I am very upset and I will not be coming back here. I've been there twice now, first time was alright. I agree with some other posts about the price being a little steep considering the service. The second time I went will unfortunately be my last, mostly due to the service and cleanliness. I watched a few people come and go (getting both pedicures and manicures) and the towels were not changed between guests nor was the surface area cleaned. Yikes! Attentive service and kind employees. I've only gotten nail services here, and am surprised that some reviewers have had a negative experience (though people only really review if they've had a great or terrible experience). Mirage has a really good selection of polishes and gel colors. They also have very clean nail stations and pedicure chairs. Most recently, I got a mani/pedi from Nam and enjoyed every second of it. My normal manicure (not gel) lasted for 2 weeks, with one minor chip (which was my fault from trying to open something with my nails). Nam was also really impressive with working around a healing wound on my hand during the manicure. Mirage also offers dip manicure services, so that's a great option for stepping outside of the normal gel or mani/pedi box. Mirage makes you feel pampered and is a solid affordable place with a great location - I really have nothing critical to say about the joint! Read Less

I got a full set of acrylics for 30, which is great, but some of them are really far from my cuticles (which weren't pushed back) meaning I'll have to get them filled sooner than I'd like to and my skin was minorly damaged by the Dremel tool used. I will not be returning. Read Less

Awful place. I wish I could get a picture of my eyebrows that I just had waxed because it is literally the worst wax I have ever had! She waxed and that was it. Didn't want between my eyes, didn't trim them, and didn't pluck the strays. It honestly doesn't even look like I got waxed at all. This place is amazing. I've been searching for a good pedicure place all over this area and I finally found it! It's extremely clean, without a strong acetone smell, and has a beautiful interior. Plus, there are comfy massage chairs, lots of polish colors, the people are wonderful and friendly, and the prices are reasonable ($28 for pedicure). I lived in PerSei for over a year and would occassionally come to Mirage to get a mani/pedi. It's always been clean and I've never had to wait long to be attended to, even if I didn't have an appointment. I hadn't gotten acrylics in years and ended up going to another salon, but when I needed a fill I decided to come back to Mirage. Natalie did an AMAZING job. She was so detail-oriented and really took her time, especially around the edges. She invited my feedback throughout the process which made me feel comfortable when I asked for the tips to be straightened in one or two places after she finished filling in new acrylic. Came in for gel mani/pedi and eyebrows in prep for a wedding. Staff was extremely courteous and attentive. The pedicure was comfortable and not too long, and staff were careful to check what length I wanted my nails before cutting/filing. I also had a split nail and were careful to avoid worsening it. The gel mani was quick but most places I go to don't roughen up all parts of the nail, so the polish never lasts. My staff was careful to hit all parts of the nail and it shows because it's now going on 2 weeks and my polish hasn't budged. The eyebrow was was quick and relatively painless, n concerns. I would like to see a little lower prices but the quality is excellent. This will me my new go-to nail salon. Read Less

I got a gel manicure and eye wax. The eye wax was good. No complaints other than yeah it smelled like urine in there.My gel manicure was fast and it looked nice when I left. However, after day 2 my nails were in bad shape. I had a bunch of hangnails and I never have hangnails. Not sure if they cut too much of my cuticles or what but they pretty much damaged my nails. Total price of gel manicure and eye waxing was $45.I don't think I will go back to this place. Read Less

Walked in for eyebrow waxing today. This is my second time here. The first time, I left irritated because they dropped the waxing stick in my hair, panicked... And ran out to get help. I decided that everyone has bad days, so let me give them another try.The place is in a great location and cute inside. When I was brought back to the wax room, it was dirty. Once I laid on the table, I looked up at the light and it was disgusting. I should have left right then, but didn't.  I got the vibe they were not too thrilled that I only wanted my eyebrows waxed, but it could have just been me.  The lady did not ask me how I wanted them or anything regarding my eyebrows. She just stated, "Is that your husband waiting for you out front?" Then proceeded to rush through appointment.  Once she finished, she handed me the most disgusting mirror I have ever seen. Too dark in the room matched with grease ball mirror made it impossible to see the quality of my eyebrows. I paid my bill and left. When I got in my car, I saw the quality. A big chunk of my eyebrow was missing. Luckily, I am pretty low maintenance and I can laugh it off. However, after two bad incidents here with two different employees, I will not be returning. It's a shame because it so convenient. Suggestion, walk two minutes up the road to Progressions Salon. Exceptional quality service there. Read Less

This one is clean, organized, well put together. I always get great service here and I've worked with many of the employees at the salon. My favorite is Vivian as she is very good, very nice and accommodating. The prices are a little higher than the other salons nearby but I've never had an issue at the salon and I can't say that for the others that I've been to. Super friendly and always remember your name. Service here is excellent. Super cheap, too! Walk-ins are hit or miss, since they're so busy, so try to make an appointment whenever possible. These people clearly have a problem with African American people. I had a job training in Rockville and decided to check them out because I was interested in a pedicure. I went in to first see if they had the same color on my nails which they didn't so as I am leaving out the representative follows me and asks me did I pick a color, I responded no you all did not have the color of my interest.  He then says I didn't see you put it back. I was completely appalled. It is extremely unfortunate that I was accused of stealing polish. Completely unjust. By the way check my nails out! Came here for the first time yesterday to get a classic manicure for myself and buffing/hand massage for my boyfriend. The prices are reasonable and the service is standard. The lady never pushed me to get gel or anything like that either. We did have to wait around 15 minutes to be tended to but the staff were all very courteous and kept telling us we were not forgotten. I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 as I left with polish on odd parts of my finger that was never cleaned off. And my boyfriend's massage and buffing lasted a very short time given the price. I went to Mirage Nails on the Pike today based on reviews I read here on Yelp... what a huge mistake.  I originally wanted to get a gel manicure and wax but when I walked back to the bathroom and saw the waxing rooms I was grossed out by how dirty the place was...The salon was old, dirty and had absolutely no ventilation.  To make things worse, I paid $37 for a gel manicure that looks horrible.  It honestly looks like I gave my 5 year old niece a chance to paint my nails.  The manicurist did a HORRIBLE job.  I cannot stress this enough.  She also took her sweet time... I was there for over an hour.On top of the horrible manicure, I cannot get over the fact that the gel manicure is $37 and they are SOOOOO cheap with supplies.  I highly doubt she used clean tools on my nails.  And the cotton... I just paid almost 40 bucks.  You can afford to soak more than a centimeter of cotton to soak the gel off my nails.  Instead, she used barely any cotton so she had to pick all the gel off my nails.I am NEVER going back. In my opinion, this is the best place in the Rockville area to go for nail services!I am not overly fond of chitchat while I get my nails done, I just like it to be relaxing. The staff here certainly aren't rude, and will engage in conversation if you want, but they are not super chatty if you're not in the mood for conversation.I've come in twice, and got a gel mani both times, and a pedicure once. Their prices are a little high, $37 for the gel mani, but I like their service and how long the gel lasted. Both times I made an appointment, which seems pretty necessary just so they have enough staff for you, they always have customers, but it's not crazy.The tools are clean, they came out of a sterile bag and my tech poured a new container of sanitizer that she put the tools in during my visit. The files themselves were a little older looking, but not dirty.The pedicure chairs are very nice as well. My only complaint is that the towels they use for the manicure tables and the pedicure are ratty looking, clean but the edges are very frayed. The towels for drying your hands are nice and new, so don't let that be the reason you don't come.If I were staying in the area per mentally, this would be the only place I would ever go! Read Less

That is what is so nice about this place - any of them do an excellent job. I have been to a number of salons in the area and always feel welcomed and never rushed here.
