I absolutely hate this place. I will drive on the other side of town to get my nails if need be. My first time was Great but every time after it went down hill. I notice the guy skip several steps of my pedicure, when I mentioned it to the manager he did nothing. Also notice he tried sending me out the door without a clear coat. Worst experience ever!!!! I like this place because I do not have to be picky about which technician I go to because they are all consistently good. If you're planning on going right after work I would recommend calling ahead, but otherwise I've rarely had to wait because there are so many technicians in the salon.The color choice is great (I always get gel manicures) and they do a good job with pedicures too! I normally can wait 3-4 weeks between appointments for nails and 5+ weeks for toes. I have been twice the first time I was very happy. The second not so much. My nails turned out very chunky and I paid an extra five dollars for Chrome shellac and it never hardened up. Soooo disappointed in this place. Waited almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The woman did a very poor job on my cuticles, only scrubbed one of my legs (no seriously) and it was the quickest pedicure I've ever received. My daughter also received one and she was already done hers before  mine and they started hers first! The chairs are old and mine did not even have a remote. What was supposed to be a beautiful mom and daughter time, turned tacky. The "tech" who was doing my pedi skipped all kinds of steps! He did not shape or smooth out my nails, no base or top coat, and applied FOUR LAYERS of polish. When I told him I wasn't happy with any of his work and needed it corrected, he broke my sandal while in deep haste to remove the polish from my nails.!!!!!!!!!!! The female owner was not accomodating at all! Even after I told her that her manager stated that I did not have to pay for my nails and that the tech that broke my shoes would pay for them, she had the nerve to yell at me in her broken English that after allllll of that, I still have to pay?? The best place u ever been. The service is great Jimmy and Ruby are so professional. I go for my feet nails and lashes and I go every two weeks. if I go in and have a nail repair they fix it for free because I am a loyal customer and that's how they take care of you. if you are loyal to them they will be loyal to you and the prices are reasonable they even have discount days Sunday through Wednesday. I can't speak for all the rest of the nail techs--because I only see Bessy, and she's amazing. She takes her time, isn't rushed and has great attention to detail. She does an excellent massage as well. I will ALWAYS come back for her. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the manager refuses to allow you to tip with your card...and I NEVER carry cash. That is really annoying, to inconvenience your customers that way. I've been coming here for a few months now and I haven't had any complaints about the quality or cleanliness. Shellac color selections are endless and they can lay down some acrylic! My nails last so much longer unlike other places I've been to. This is my go to place now; as far as it is from my house. ONLY complaint is the wait times. I had an appointment with Kim for the first time. I asked her to cut my nails square. She took so much of my cuticles that three of my fingers started bleeding. I told her that I was in pain and she told me to go wash my hands and it will be okay. Seriously? The second time she did the same thing on my feet. She never apologized. So happy I found this place! After moving here in September, I have struggled to find a clean, calming nail salon with good color selection- Mirage was perfect, I've finally found where I'll be a regular! They honored the appointment that I made and saw me right away! I was overwhelmed by the options available for gel manis- and finally found a paint-splatter-like glittery polish. I showed the polish to the person doing my nails, and he agreed that it was pretty but suggested that I put it over another color- he enthusiastically agreed with my choice to put it over a white. Then when doing my nails, the white was not as opaque as expected, he kindly offered to put on two coats- then with the glitter topcoat he also insisted on two coats to make sure it was as colorful as I wanted! So many other people would have rushed and not done all of those coats but he was super patient, thorough and my nails look BEAUTIFUL! So so so happy with my experience! Read Less

I tried this place out bc it's across the street from me. Holly did my nails and she was the sweetest! From the moment I was picking out gel color she was there putting it on my nail so I could see how it looked since I also wanted glitter on one nail. I've been using Mirage every few weeks for the past 5 years and have noticed a change in quality after moving to Pike and Rose. It feels rushed and the standard pedicure is not what is used to be. I used to go to another nail place down the street but switched to Mirage nails at pike and rose about 9 months ago. I have been very happy with my experience. They are priced the same as my old place but Mirage is MUCH cleaner and a much better overall experience. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they sometimes take in too many people and just leave you sitting at a station for 20-30 minutes waiting when they said it would be a few minutes. I used to go to Cindy Nails, but decided to try Mirage one day after work. I love how attentive the staff are to your nails, and don't mind doing an extra coat or spending extra time getting your nails in perfect shape. At Cindy's I felt like the manicurists were in a race with each other to see how fast they could crank out a manicure, which led to subpar manicures. I work nearby and I've been making my way to the establishments at Pike & Rose. After becoming increasingly frustrated with my other nail and waxing spots, I decided to try Mirage since it's nearby and P&R offers 2 hours free parking. My coworker stopped in here to have her eyebrows waxed a few months ago and said for $10, they did a great job. Well, I finally decided to check for myself. I walked in the Friday before Valentine's Day to get a manicure and have my eyebrows waxed. I pulled up a design from Pinterest with a heart and my manicurist was great and got right to work. She did a great job. Besy did my eyebrows with great care and attention to detail. Let me tell you, my eyebrows are special. I've tried a couple different shapes for my brows and I've been growing them out from my last experience with "thinner" brows. Well, Vesy was very careful to examine my brows and determine the best course of action to clean and shape them up. She did such a great job that I came back and she was able to do it again, lol. I used to go to Cindy Nails, but have started coming here.  I never make an appointment and am usually seen right away.  The color selection is good and they have a very extensive gel color selection as well.  Pricing is great ($37 gel manicure, $14 regular manicure, $27 pedicure or $39 mani/pedi combo).  I never feel rushed, the techs take their time and do a good job.  Pedicures usually last a month+ and gel manicures last 3 weeks+.You can pay for the service with a credit/debit card, but have to tip in cash. Also they have a few pedicure options for an additional cost.  The place is clean, everyone is very nice and the atmosphere is relaxed. Read Less

In order to keep my excellent tech Anh who moved here last year I changed spas. Although the price for gel manicure increased Anh is worth it. In reading other reviews I am concerned about negative comments. Today I witnessed all spa chairs and stations being cleaned and sanitized from top to bottom as they are after every service. Also people of color are always welcome and part of the regular customers. All work hard to be sure you are satisfied and speaking ones native language is easier at times. I thought this place was ok. I didnt get a rash on my feet or any infections from unclean basins or utensils. My pedicure was ok. Not the best but not the worst. The place appeared to be clean and the staff relatively friendly. This location is new so everything looked up to date and not run down. I would really like to witness the pedi-basin being cleaned before dunking my tootsies in...they run the water so fast they don;t give you a chance. I don't like to presume anything but theses nail salons care more about the money than customer safety. I came to Mirage for a manicure and pedicure and overall enjoyed the experience. I was excited to see a pretty new salon in our neighborhood- I previously went to Cindys Nails but I think it's gone way downhill. It is a clean salon with new amenities and a nice big selection of new polish colors. The lady who did my pedicure spent a decent amount of time and used some device to remove the dead skin from my feet leaving them nice and smooth. That was definitely a perk as other salons I've been to don't include that in a standard pedicure. A different lady did my manicure and did a nice job, as well. She tried to pressure me into getting a gel manicure which was a tad annoying, but no big deal. The regular mani was great and it lasted about a week without chipping (longer than average for me). I took away one star because they don't accept tip by credit card, which most upscale nail salons do. I told them it was my first time there and I did not bring cash, but they couldn't make an exception and pointed to the bank down the street, which I really didn't have time to do. I think they should at least keep an ATM in the salon for customer convenience if they require cash tips. Regardless, I will come back here for my nails and be prepared with cash! Read Less

I was thrilled to have my favorite nail salon open a new shop at Pike and Rose, and that Kim had moved to that location.  I have been going to Mirage for 2 years. This location is clean and bright and relaxing. Kim gives me consistently beautiful and long-lasting pedicures and gel manicures. The gel often lasts 3 weeks.
