You pay for what you get--quick and cheap. My top coat of my gel polish is not complete, polish doesn't cover my whole nail, finger and beds covered in the colored polish. Kicker is toward the end my technician says "your nails are longer on one hand than the other so they look better." Am I not paying for a service that will cut, trim, and polish my nails? I was in serious need of a manicure and it was the day before Memorial day. My usual salon was closed as were 3 others I drove past.  I had heard this nail salon was not to be trusted but I figured I had no choice.  When I entered no one greeted me at all. There were four people working.  I signed in and started looking at colors and sat for 45 minutes.  No complaints about that.  They were all working on other customers who were getting mani/pedi. I was called back to start my pedi.  The water was cold so I asked her to add hot water which she did.  Then I was passed on to another person. Things started off well. My nails were clipped, buffed, cuticle nipped..... but no scraping of the dead skin from the bottom of my feet.  I got a quick and painful leg massage in which I had to tell her to ease up. She painted my toes and off I went to get my fingernails done. I should have quit before this! I had her add a tip to the nail that needed fixing because I find that this works better for me.  When she applied the glue and then the nail it came right off. She hasn't applied much pressure.  She tried again but I actually put the tip on.  She then proceeded to cut, file, shape, etc. my nails.  She cut into the skin around my thumb and 2 other nails.  I tried communicating that to her but she didn't understand.  So I pulled my thumb away and pointed to my face.  She got it then.  It took her over 1.5 hours to complete a gel manicure that she basically filled in.  The work was shoddy at best.  Never again.....I will just pass them by if I'm ever in a jam again. My first time here wasn't the best experience, but it was 8 months ago and I decided to give it another try since this was the only place that was open at 9 am and close to my house. I came here on a weekend with an appointment and was taken care of immediately. The front desk was very pleasant and welcoming. My appointment was for a manicure and the polish selection was good. My nail technician made sure that I was comfortable during the appointment and understood my concerns with cutting cuticles. The tools were clean and came out of packages, and the work area was organized and sanitary.I was quite impressed with my experience here especially since the staff were friendly. The atmosphere is soothing and relaxing - it definitely adds a spa element to your experience. The pedicure chairs are in new condition and well maintained. I am really impressed with this place and so glad I stopped in! It is a very calming, clean, and well kept salon!! The water bins for the pedicure stations look like mother of pearl seashells and all of the chairs are massaging chairs. They have 10 chairs in the salon so they will be able to accommodate you and your friends!!!All of their materials are sterilized and come in closed pouches so you know you are getting something that is clean!! The salon itself is really clean and the decor is soothing as well.They're staff is especially nice and they give really great foot massages!!! Oh and for the obligatory $5 you can get the cheese grater on your feet to remove calluses and it is worth it!!!I will most definitely come back, this maybe my go-to pedicure place!!! Read Less

First off if I could give it no stars I would....IT WAS THE WORST JOB EVER....I went Labor Day and only because my regular nail shop was closed.... When I walked in it was empty I went for 2 Full set Manicures and I wanted to get eyebrows but the nails were long enough time process....so I had Ms.Lana and it was the WORST...first off she couldn't find the proper tips to put on my fingers another lady had to keep coming over checking like she didn't know what she was doing  then she keep putting the powder on and forget steps the other lady had to ask her if she did that step....then she kept filing the nails in the end it was alrite and when I got home they started looking raggedy not even a week and they were easy to pluck off before two week and it took FOREVER.....and then the next one was Ms.Lori she started putting tips on my fingers nd filing and they kept falling off I had to tell her to make sure the nails were even nd they just need better people I shouldn't have gave them $10 tip Read Less

I've only been here a couple of times but every time I do, I have the best service. Chris is my go-to technician, but everyone else is pretty good too. Their massage chairs are so nice and the technicians take a lot of time and care into their work. They also are not pushy to ask you if you want other services. That is the one pet peeve of mine when I go to a salon. Luckily, that is not an issue here. This shop is also owned by the same person who owns Fantasy in Silver Spring (which I usually go to), but it's worth the trip to Rockville for Lifestyle. Read Less

I was hesitant to try here based on the lack luster reviews but this place is great. I came in for a pedicure and the nail techs greeted me with warm smiles. My pedicure came out amazing I got the spa pedicure option since, well winter was quite brutal lol. The tech massaged my feet and made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The facelift on the salon is just incredible. They have brand new chairs and they are gorgeous:) I have been coming here for over 8 years and am loyal. But now I will be even happier because they replaced all the old pedicure chairs and I heard they are putting in a bar. I plan on bringing my friend here to celebrate her birthday with pedi and wine! This place has really improved from before. I saw on Yelp that they had new chairs so I came again. So much better. The water bowls change colors. Very pretty. I also got a facial. I went in to get a quick fill in, I usually go to Cindy's Nails but did not have enough time to go all the way on the Pike. I had to wait about 10 minutes in the blistering heat, I guess they don't believe in A/C on a hot afternoon. The gentleman did my nails and I told him very specifically that I like short and thin acrylic nails for a more natural look. I guess he didn't pay attention to anything I said because when he was "done" and told me to wash my hands, my nails were thick and long. When I told him I wanted it shorter he made them so short that the machine was hitting my skin and peeling it! I freaked out and he just laughed and smiled. WTH?!? Polish selection was terrible and his manicure skills were horrendous. What a waste of money. Definitely not going back. Read Less

We walked in thinking how lucky we were to find a cheap ($25) mani-pedi deal. Sadly, we walked out with the most overpriced mani-pedi spa treatment to date ($48 + "tip"). #1) $25 special sounds like a good deal but it's only valid Mondays through Thursdays. So regular rates are on par with other salons. #2) But even at regular price, you'd expect comparable services. Sadly, that wasn't the case at Lifestyle. It felt as if they were taking a short cut for everything.  Brief foot soaks.  Lukewarm water.  Forgetting to soak the finger nails.  Forgetting to buff the finger nails.  They were even too cheap to use toe separators for females (despite up-selling us the upgraded spa package).  So even though there were no other customers, everything was hastily done. #3) There were a lot of mistakes. The guy who trimmed Cindy's nails clipped her several times. Awful enough that there was bleeding.  No apologies.  He just moved on.#4) When a couple comes into the salon, why the hell are they seating is on opposite sides of the salon. We were the only 2 customers so space wasn't an issue. #5) Sly behavior. When I handed the guy $10 and asked for change, he immediately pocketed the full amount. This is the same guy who did a terrible job on Cindy's nails so I'm certain he knew it was the last time he'd see us. Normally, a mani-pedi is a "Treat Yo Self" opportunity to relax. We did not felt relaxed. For a place that desperately needed more customers during our visit, I walked away feeling that (A) they did everything to ensure that we'd never come back and (B) I felt that they milked us for everything possible knowing that it would be our only visit.1 Star - That dreadful feeling when you walk away more unhappy than when you walked in. So disappointed with the work that was done on my nails and toes when I came here. I came to Lifestyle Nails & Spa for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. What I got was a disaster.For one, My toes looked like they were painted by a little kid. I'm not the best at painting my own nails, but what I've been able to do in the past looks a lot better than what I got. After she painted my toes she asked me what method of payment I was going to use. When I told her I was using a debit card she asked if I could use a credit card instead. I told her I didn't have a credit card and she still kept asking me if I could use a credit card. I asked her why I couldn't just use my debit card and she  said because their card reader wasn't working. I was a little confused because if their card reader wasn't working, why would a credit card solve that problem? She took my debit card anyway and went to "try to see if it works". She comes back and said it did work after all and she charged me $55 on it. My gel cost $30 and my pedicure cost $20? When I asked her about the $5 overcharge she said "oh I'm sorry I forgot". Her words exactly.  My gel nails look bad. My cuticles weren't cut properly and the right tools weren't used. Everything about this visit was a disaster. Lets no forget about the lady who was plucking her armpit hair at one of the nail stations. They were all nice but that's not enough to get your customers to come back. I'm definitely not. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE.!!! Fine a better nail salon. I went in to get a mani and pedi done because my nails were getting long. Not only did they NOT give me enough time to pick a right nail polish that i wanted, they had stupid attitude. The one that was doing my nails was semi-old, skinny with  long hair and probably had VERY BAD vision because she definitely needs some lessons on how to do HER JOB! 1. DID NOT soak my cuticles enough to cut them off, AND after telling her 3 times that i needed them all CUT , she made it look like she was cutting something and in the end, she just put a nail polish OVER cuticles so that i don't see her crappy job. 2. When i was asking her to do something, she was complaining about it to the other girl who is ALWAYS on her computer or the phone when she is working. (So unprofessional). (Too bad they didn't know i understood what they were saying.)3. I was really upset with how my nails turned out so i came in the next day to ask to redo them because it was a shit job! She gave me attitude and refused to give me money back. 4. She did not even clean under my nails. AND she cut me under the nail.I hope that lady gets an eye exam so she can see better and stop squinting all the time and continue doing a VERY BAD JOB. Was desperate for a closeby manicure.1. She didn't soak my nails to loosen the cuticles.  Instead she used a ghetto sandwich bag with lotion.  I have had this done before but it doesn't soften anything.2. I didn't know you could mess up clear nail polish.3.  In the midst of her barely cutting my cuticles I told her I want a lot cut off and she did not acknowledge that I spoke one word to her at all.  Maybe language barrier but idk who else I would be talking to because two co workers had earphones in and one co worker was snoring on a pedicure chair.4.  If clear was this ugly, God forbid I see what dark red looked like.5.  She did not tell me to go wash my hands after all this cutting and filing and everything.  That's gross.6.  My shitty manicure was 12 dollars!  Plus a 3 dollar tip out of pity.  I have seen better days. I am currently getting my toes done  I used to come here all the time but the last few times have sucked. There is this lady who sits by her lap top with head phones and when you come in, it's like an inconvenience to her. She rushes threw my pedicure and quickly returns to her lap top. During the pedicure she looks at her lap top the whole time. Oh did I mention she has been hurting me. I have asked her multiple times to stop. I don't think I'm ever come back... Ohhhhh and the bottom of the foot tub was slimy and she used a foot scrubber that was obviously uses multiple times on other people. My lady was sick and kept coughing on me. I visited this nail salon last Saturday around 11:45 am and had mixed emotions upon seeing the salon was void of patrons- with the exception of one customer getting a pedicure.  I mean, Saturday, almost noon, nice weather, parking lot full and only one customer???!!! Apparently customers were going to other businesses in the strip mall because they sure weren't in this nail salon!!!  That aside, I took a leap of faith and politely asked for a pedicure. I was directed to choose a nail polish from their sparse collection of mostly red shades- BTW, brands were OPI and Essie, and another brand I was unfamiliar with. I finally found a color and settled into the spa chair. The water was a perfect temperature. The tools were securely wrapped in plastic. The nail tech Edith was quiet and seemed skilled as she made my feet beautiful.I was pleased with the job she did on my feet and toes. Not bad for $ 20 at all!!! The only thing that left a sour note was Edith coming over while I was sitting drying my toes to tell me my toes were dry now and turned off the infrablue lamp before I even finished reading my People magazine!!! How rude!!! I deducted one star for that!!! In summary: I think I'll give this place another try because I actually liked my pedi,  the cost, and not having to wait before being serviced.Pros: low cost of pedi, not busy- no waiting timeCons: difficulty finding parking in parking lot (I had to park in front of the 7-Eleven), small selection of polish to choose from, customer service could be improved Read Less

I came here to fix my nails because I didn't like how they did them at another salon and they did a wonderful job and did what I wanted, the only complain is that the lady was too rough. But they are nice, the place is clean and they know what they are doing. I will come back. Read Less
