It's been quite awhile since I had a Brazilian bikini wax. I researched for about a week or so and I came across some great reviews about Sabrina and Sky Lounge Skin Care. She did not disappoint. I was a little nervous since it was my first time there but Sabrina's great personality put me at ease. Before I knew it, she was done!  Of course, there will be some pain when getting a Brazilian wax. However, her technique was so great that the pain was really tolerable. Sabrina was quick and she did a pretty good job of removing all the hair.  She missed a few hairs and when I pointed it out to her, she had no problem with going back in and getting what she missed. So, this was my first time getting waxed and for some reason I thought getting a full Brazilian for my first time was a good idea. There was a Yelp deal for Sky Lounge and decided to just go for it! I am so glad I did. The shop is located on Charles Street. It shares a space with a hair salon and looks like a row home but there's a sign that says "Sky Lounge" on the outside of the building. There was plenty of street parking.I was super nervous and asked my sister to go with me for emotional support...but she stayed in the waiting room and I'm glad she did. Ladies, if this is your first time getting waxed, like it was mine, please be warned that your lady business is completely out in the open..I'm talking spread eagle nekidness from the bottom down. It was more invasive than my yearly exam! Sabrina was awesome though. She definitely relaxed me and once she turned on some jams, we were like two girlfriends catching up...well kinda, because it would be weird if you caught up with your girlfriend while she was pouring hot wax on your no no parts.Anyway, I digress. I asked Sabrina what the pain level would be like and she said about a 7/8, which was spot on. It was definitely tolerable but I squirmed and called Jesus a couple times. At one point, she said that I seemed to be taking it really well so she tried hard wax. It felt lovely going on, nice and warm and smooth, but it hardens and rips off more hair with one application. The after pain for most rips lasted about 1-2 seconds, that one lasted about 4-6 seconds. Luckily she only did that twice. I LOVED the end result...smoother than a baby's bottom. If I ever decide to get waxed again, I will definitely go to Sky Lounge. I recommend this place to all! Read Less

Sabrina is the shit. She's quick, hilarious and super friendly. She uses a combo of soft and hard wax... I'd never had hard wax before but it was actually a little less painful! I have a super low pain tolerance and it was still really tolerable for me (I'm a total wimp so that's saying a lot!) Getting a Brazilian can be super awkward especially if you're a little shy like I am, but Sabrina made it a really comfortable experience. Definitely recommend her! Read Less
