Ok this is a follow up to my last review since I can not respond to the owners response. That is NOT the last 4 digits of my phone number. That is no where near my phone number and you did mess up my appt because I called a week in advance as I’ve always done and made an appt with Anna but this time for Saturday at 1000am. When I came in for the appt, someone else was scheduled with Anna at 1000am, it was not my name down and it was not my phone number when I asked about it. If my appt was there then it’s still a problem if the guy I asked told me otherwise. So yes that is a mix up. There are only 2 or 3 males who work there so it’s not hard to figure out who it was. Secondly, when I came in I said you just hung up on me, told me you had 20 people waiting yet there is no one in here at the front waiting and then I said and you messed up my appointments. Not one time did you ask well what do you mean your appt is messed up or what happened with your appt. You asked nothing about it!! You went into defense mode and said what makes you so sure it was me and I said well I’m pretty sure it was you which I said twice. Let’s face it, you didn’t like that I asked about you lying to me about having 20 people waiting when you didn’t, nor did you like that I asked why did you hang up the phone and that I said you messed up my appts. So then in turn you yelled, “well I’m not going to take you today and pointed to the door.” As if you are dismissing a child. I left immediately after because that was rude, unprofessional and embarrassing. You never had to calm me down nor asked me to leave. Please stop lying as we have already established you have a history in lying for no apparent reason. Furthermore, after looking through the reviews 3 other people said you were rude so clearly I’m not the only one who feels this way. Also in looking at the reviews another person a male reviewer said you also messed up him and his wife appts and instead of accommodating then you were too busy trying to figure out who did it. You didn’t try to accommodate me either because you were too bothered about being blamed for it, but if you are the owner/ manager then take responsibility for your actions and the actions of your employees. I never asked who did it because I was trying to get another appt then. You’re the one that was too stuck on being blamed and couldn’t let that go. I’ve been getting my nails done for over 20 years and never had any issues anywhere before until this place which is why I left a review. You never once apologized for anything. You apologized just now on my last review for the miscommunication and that’s only because I left a review, but that apology honestly should have been said when I was in there, not because I’m leaving a review. I’m the one that got dressed and drove to your place thinking I had an appt only to be turned away and told I don’t have one and that Anna is booked for that day. I think any customer has a right to be irritated by that. Stop responding to me about this matter because you don’t ever have to worry about me returning there ever again! Read Less

I've visited Bella Foundry Row Nail Salon and Spa twice for a powder dip manicure from Signature Nail Systems (SNS). The manicure is supposed to last up to three weeks. My first manicure lasted over four weeks before I lost some polish. I visited a second time for a replacement manicure and the manicure didn't last one week before I lost a nail. I had two different technicians, which I'm sure makes a big difference. The nice thing is that I was able to schedule an appointment to have the polish fixed. I've never written a review before but this place deserves one! As soon as I found out this nail salon was opening I was very excited because the entire Foundry Row Plaza is such high quality and very delightful for me. I finally decided to go after constantly driving past it and it did not disappoint! When I walked in I was greeted immediately and helped with no wait (which was surprising on a Saturday afternoon as a walk in). The salon was very large and clean with a very sleek look. I was taken to Ken's station and I wanted to get a gel manicure. He brought me a basket with colors and OMG THERE ARE SO MANY COLORS!! I have never seen SO many colors to choose from at a nail salon, and the colors are so pretty! I was offered water or wine which is always nice. I also really liked how everyone wore a black shirt, unlike most nail salon's that you see. Not that it's a big deal, but it definitely made the salon appear more professional. Okay, for the manicure. Ken was amazing! First of all, the salon is very large and their are many people working, so the workers are not as rushed to help the next client. Next, I've gone to nail salons that sometimes paint on top of the cuticle, which isn't such a big deal in the beginning, but as the nail grows out the polish is lifted at the end closest to the cuticle and it causes the polish to chip off/peel off quicker. Ken did not do that! He was so precise and careful in painting my nails. Now for the exciting part, this is the longest that my gel manicure has lasted in a very long time - and I work at a doctor's office so wash my hands A LOT throughout the day. Tomorrow will be day 14 since I have gotten my nails done and there are absolutely NO signs of lifting, peeling, or chipping of the polish (it doesn't even snag on my hair)! This place is definitely about quality, you can tell by the amount of work put into it's appearance. This salon has definitely made my first experience a good one, and I am so excited to make this my new nail salon! My friends even are so surprised at how good my nails look considering tomorrow will be 2 weeks since I got them done. I will attach a picture of my nails from today, which is day 13 since having my nails initially done. P.S., excuse my cuticles! **UPDATE** After reading about other people's experiences, I've decided my visit might have been a one-off or I might have just caught the nail tech on a bad day. I'm going to return and get a fill in, and see if I like the results a little better. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the range of services and products are enticing enough for me to want to go back- even after having a bad experience. To clairify, I had developed an infection after getting a pedicure here. I'm pretty sure it was from getting a knick on my foot from some overzealous callus removal, not unsanitary conditions or improper cleaning procedures. Aside from that, my nails were clearly different shapes, (I wanted almond shaped nails, like stilettos with a softer point. Some are shaped like kites) and the crystal nail design I asked for looks.... bald? I'll post a picture for reference. It doesn't look like any examples I can pull up online. ABSOLUTELY the WORST place.. first experience today and I’ll NEVER go back and letting EVERYONE know of the shitty ass service they have.. first I asked for a hot stone pedicure.. soaked longer waiting on my nail technician than the proposed 45 min advertised on their services menu.. the girl spilled water all over my suede boots as well as gel color shavings from them shaving off the girls nail color next to me.. never apologized or even acknowledged why they did to my shoes..... THEN the gel color fill in was the worse I’ve ever seen.. THICK SQUARED SHAPE and when I asked them to fix it the way I asked for it I was told I would have to WAIT 30 more mins before someone was available ... This was my first and last time going there. I had called weeks ago to get an appointment. The person answering the phone was rude. I should of stuck with my first impression. The nail tech never spoke one word to me. She spoke perfect English to other techs. So it wasn’t that she couldn’t. She was to busy checking her cell phone. This was my third time going to this place. Let me start by saying that I have been to a lot of nail places in Maryland and I get my nails done every two weeks. This place is very pretty. The atmosphere is just nice and relaxing and the fact that they offer wine is fabulous. My technician was Tiffany and she was amazing. Extremely professional and did an awesome job on my nails. The place is very clean and that is very important for a nail place. I used the restroom and it was very clean as well which to me is very important. The lighting of the place is very nice. Very nice atmosphere. Bella is very clean, bright and tranquil. The technicians do a great job and if you are specific and vocal you'll more than likely get exactly what you want. They make sure you're comfortable and offer beverages. They are the best in the area so be prepared to wait if you're walking in, especially on the weekend. It's best to make an appointment and be on time, otherwise you will lose your appointment slot. Most salons in the area do not offer SNS, but Bella does and they have a large variety of colors. Beautiful ambiance and great customer service.This place has only been here for 3 months and the demand is already high. I had to make an appointment. Once I arrived I was serviced Asap. Tried out this place yesterday for the first time. My usual place is much further and very hard to get an appointment on short notice. I had the deluxe pedicure and an acrylic fill with Nixon. The pedicure was fine, but at most places, a $45 deluxe pedicure includes callous removal so I think it's a little steep to charge another 5 bucks. I called ahead and made sure they had clear acrylic because that's what I already had on my nails but he kept asking me why I wanted that. I was insistent so he got up to ask about it and came back with a different powder. When he started to do my nails, I had one that was broken and one that was cracked which had to come off too. He used a nail tip to pry off the acrylic which I haven't had anyone do for probably 10 years. I've always had them soaked off which is less painful and doesn't damage your nail as much. When he started to repair, I saw him get a tip out and I asked if he could do sculpture...all of my nails are sculpted and their website says they do them. He said "no, we don't do that here" I just let it go. I noticed most people were being offered water or wine and I wasn't offered either. All in all it was fine but not great and not worth the slightly higher prices they charge. I had high hopes this would be my new spot but I think I'll stick to my regular girl. I walked in needing a manicure and was greeted by a friendly and professional staff. As soon as I had walked in I was welcomed with a "Hello, how can we help you?" When I sat down for my manicure the nail technician was gentle yet effective on my horrific nails. I bite my nails when they aren't done or feel uneven, so he was working with some beat up looking hands. As soon as my manicure was done, however, my nail beds and nails looked and felt incredible. I waited to write this review because the one thing I cannot stand is when you get a great manicure but it only lasts two days before the polish chips away. Let me first start off by saying that this was by far the LONGEST nail salon experience that I've ever had. When I walked in at 11:30 am on a Sunday the salon was completely filled. Every technician was working on a customer and more were waiting to be serviced. I came for an acrylic nail removal, manicure and pedicure. I was told it was be a 40 min wait. I signed in and decided to wait. While waiting, several people came in and out being told the wait time. I was finally called a little before 1pm.I was walked back to the pedicure area and provided a bottle of water. I opted for the basic pedicure.The technician also started on the process of removing the acrylic from my nails. I now understand why the wait was so long, she took her time caring for my feet and hands. The total for my services was $50 before tip which I think is really good for the wonderful customer service I received.They carry a lot of OPI and Essie polishes.I would suggest making an appointment when visiting this salon. The first time I went to Bella Foundry Row Nail Salon, it was FABULOUS!  Great service and a wonderful gel manicure.  Attention to detail was paid to each part of the process.  I was so impressed by them that I decided to definitely make this my primary location for manicures.  However, the second time that I came for a gel manicure (about 2.5 weeks later), it was very different and not in a satisfactory way.   My second experience wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.  A different person who seemed less experienced did my manicure.  She seemed like she was just going through the motions.  She was constantly interrupted by other nail technicians who wanted to share their online shopping finds on their cell phones.  She only allowed about 2 minutes (or less) to let the solution to remove the old gel polish set and what the solution didn't remove, she carelessly and chaotically removed with an abrasive nail file removing not only the old gel polish but also the surface of my nails.  I advised her to let the solution soak a few minutes more so that she didn't have to file so much and potentially damage my nails.After the manicure was completed, it looked very pretty, but the gel polish was applied in extremely thick layers and a few of my nails were not shaped during the manicure process.   Overall, I would come back to this place again, but would ask that the management ensure that all nail technicians are skilled and trained to do gel manicures proficiently for consistent professional results during/after each visit. Mediocre. Your essentially paying for the atmosphere not the quality of your nails. When I was impressed I read that they offered sculpture nails/liquid gel but when I got there they said only the owners could do it and they weren't there so I chose SNS. My nail tech proceeded to take off my previous overlay using plastic nail tips and tools instead of a soak off and said that there will be no damage  and he then broke 3 of my natural nails so they all had to be cut down and I have breakage all over my nails under my SNS now. There was no conversation and was quiet which I don't mind. There was no buffing, cuticle work or any care that normally comes with a SNS manicure just cutting and filing all of my natural nails which were long and healthy when I walked in and now short and damaged. The polish itself is a beautiful color too bad the application was uneven and even with him refiling my nails down after the SNS application with a drill bit they are super thick and chunky. He seemed just looking to do the bare minimum and quick job until another customer came in and sat beside me waiting for him to be done and he immediately perked up and went to get them materials for the upcoming manicure and got them beverages and greeted them with warm welcomes which none of this treatment I received. If you aren't growing your nails out or care about the health of them and aren't woman of color and just looking for extensions then I could see a manicure here being acceptable. RELAXING! Tucked inside the new Foundry Row in Owings Mills, MD, this spot is a new favorite! POSTIVES: 1. NO TV's - I don't know about you but I've had enough of CNN, NBC and the like being blasted in every establishment everwhere! When I'm relaxing I don't want worthless news casters on. I want to allow my troubles to melt away and this place did the trick. 2. CALMING MUSIC - The moment you step inside the music places you in a serene mode. 3. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE - The service was efficient and nice. 4. GOOD PEDICURE - I really enjoyed my pedicure. The massage chair and my technician almost caused me to go to sleep. 5. COMPLIMENTARY BOTTLED WATER - The touch is small but it definitely was appreciated since I forgot mine at home. NEGATIVES: 1. PARKING - Parking leaves a little something to be desired. During busy hours you'll hunt for no less than five minutes trying to find a spot. 2. COST - This place has the potential to be expensive. Make sure you request the price before getting any service. I really like this place! Very friendly, relaxing and competitive pricing for the area. I didn't like that the callus/dry skin removal isn't included with your pedicure, as it is in most other nail salons. It was $5 extra here. The tech did an excellent job with my pedi and mani. I requested a full set for my nails with gel polish. I'm at that point where I can't stop looking at my nails- they're really cute! My experience was not good at all! Was greeted well but received a very rushed 15 min pedicure and an even faster manicure (service should be 30 each from their menu) . The people who went 10 mins before me were not even done by the time I got up from the pedicure chair.My manicurist ( male short tattoo on arm shelve) was not friendly didn't even offer water ( everyone else had) and very short with me when I asked a question. I really don't think he would have trimmed cuticles if I didn't say anything.At the end he didn't say thank you nor did the front desk. Will not be back and didn't tip ( which I think I have only not tipped maybe 5 times in my life) . This place cost too much $$$ ( for a strip mall salon) for bad service and bad attitudes! I am a customer of services.  If I see something I like, I do not have a problem paying for it.  I was initially skeptical about going to this shop because from a consumer's perspective assembly line nail salons are all alike....rude, overworked, under paid, some unlicensed, operators that are trained to skimp on product, upsale your ticket, make you pay first then rush you out of the door with a subpar finished product.  But, pessimistic thinking impedes discovery!  I threw caution to the wind and tried this shop yesterday.Unfortunately, business owners in the new Foundry row location must automatically charge higher prices because of the popular location.  But the smart business that provides superior customer service can easily make up for the higher pricing.  This shop is a beautiful visually well thought out establishment.  I asked for a basic pedicure with gel polish and chrome; which I understood would cost more.  I also asked for a full acrylic set with gel polish and chrome; which again I understood would cost more.    The operators were attentive and for most of my visit,  all was well...until the full acrylic set with gel polish and chrome service for my hands.  The operator did a good job but he did not use gel polish on my nails, just a primer and base product with the chrome product applied over it all.At the register they charged me $20 for gel polish that I did not receive.  I tried to complain but I was made to feel as if I were lying about not having the gel polish applied during my service.  One of the workers even pulled a bottle of polish out of a drawer in the front of the store and said this is the color you received.  My question, if he had put that gel polish on my nails, how did it get back to the front and in a drawer within the 20 seconds it took me to get to the register?  They were arguing with me over $20.00!?!?  Like the money was the difference between life and death!  Finally, after speaking to a lead worker in their native language, the manager said, it does not matter!!  The chrome would not work if you did not have some kind of gel on there!! I was floored...I am a brand new customer, you need people like me to support your business and you are in essence calling me a liar!  I am not a stranger to nail services.  The operator (who, ironically was no where to be found while I was complaining) put on a primer, cured it, put on a base coat, cured it, then put on the chrome!!!  The primed basecoat had chemical properties that activates the chrome!Sooo..... to make a long story short, Bella Foundry Row Nail Salon and Spa charged me $20 xtra for full set gel polish and $20 xtra for full set chrome but did not provide the $20 full set nail polish service!  Instead of investigating, the manager and a lead worker automatically began speaking their native language and at the end of the dialogue, I was wrong and they were right. Obviously they really need my  $20 dollars!  So they can have it BUT I will NEVER return to this store.  My advice to this business is to learn that a component of true customer service means actively listening, weighing the situation and making a decision that ensures business continuity!!!  A pretty store does not make up for poor customer service.  You are going to loose more in the end by being shady!!! Michelle is a great technician who does superb work, I recommend going to her if you are going to get serviced. However, I REQUESTED a polish change for my 3 yr old and the technician gave her a pedicure WITHOUT my authorization and then overcharged me. When I asked to speak to the mgr I was told that he was not there and they didn't know when he would be there. I asked for his contact info and they said they could not give it out. They even refused to give me his last name. An hour later I was told that he was on vacation. This place offers horrible customer service. I will NOT be coming back. I wasn't refunded my money until they saw my previously posted bad review that they asked me to take down. I had to repost this review on the matter of principles. I was thouroughly pleased with my manicure here and have plans to go back for my pedicure. Tammy was excellent and took her time. I was not rushed at all. Looking for a upscale salon experience ? Well this is it! The moment you walk into Bella you can feel the luxury. The staff greet you upon arrival and the wait time is short. I was proudly seated and they began to remove my SNS polish. The gentleman who assisted me was very professional and fast which I appreciated. Not fast in a sloppy way at all. He is the manager there and runs the shop very well. They would constantly clean the floors making sure dust and trash weren't left around. The pedicure, massage and wax area were very very clean. The prices are 5 dollars more for SNS then the other local places and I wish they would do if you paid cash you get a discount but I understand they are just starting. Also I would recommend getting someone who is a front desk/ shop assistant. I think this would help with the flow of business. I do also like how if they can't take your apportionment they will ask you to reschedule and come back. They do not have you waiting sitting there. It's so hard to find a good clean nail salon in this area where the workers are respectful and personable so I was totally ecstatic when I found out that this place opened!I got an awesome pedicure from a young lady. I wish I'd found out her name but she did a great job and didn't make me feel uncomfortable as most technicians do whether it's because of the language barrier or just because they love to have nasty attitudes. I went here for my first dip manicure. I am not from here so this is my first time experiencing this salon. While my nail technician was super nice, I was not pleased with the work. Not even 4 days later my nail cracked. For $45 I was expecting higher quality and better service. The salon is beautiful but that's about it. Read Less
