First of all, let me say this salon is clean! They use plastic liners in the pedicure chairs and open a new pack of tools and files for each client. The staff is super friendly and professional. Best of all, they take their time to give you beautiful nails instead of rushing you out the door like most strip mall places do. Very reasonable prices ($18 for a basic fill-in, $28 for a pedicure). The selection of gel colors is so plentiful that I had a hard time deciding. If you like nail art, ask for Ty, she's very talented and offers a lot of options besides hand-painting. I am seriously through with Nail Image. I go in to receive a manicure and the Nail Tech wants to stab me by placing my hand over the nail clipper that attaches to my skin and she goes, "Oops," and never "I am sorry."  Then she rushes the massage with the lotion after the maincure and takes me to the paraffin wax and dips my hand in. Good gracious! The wax was fillled to the top, so when she snatched my hand to dip it, the wax spills all over my Uggs and sweat pants. They seemed like they didn't care, especially the owner Kim. I spent so much money in here all these years and I was a loyal customer when it looked like crap before all the renovations. I was loyal when Mae was the best Tech they had and probably still is. This shop is unethical in every way possible. They took a photo of my bank card when their machine failed connection. They took a photo of my card without my permission in the employees personal cell phone. When I confronted the owner regarding the practice, she advised that this what they typically do when there are payment issues and that it was a communication barrier between the employee and I. Kelly took a photo of my bank card and a photo of myself on her personal cell phone without my knowledge. I received a pedicure from Kelly. The pedicure was great. Kelly processed the service on my card and the receipt stated offline declined. I advised Kelly to run the the card again because I knew there was money in my account. Kelly processed the card again and it stated offline declined. I requested Kelly give my card back so I could call my bank. I called my bank who confirmed that it was a merchant issue because I had more than enough to cover the transaction. I asked another employee- May to run my card because I wasn't sure why Kelly was experiencing issues. As I walk back to give Kelly the receipt, I notice that Kelly had a photo of my bank card on her cell phone. When She tried to close the phone, I asked her why she took a picture of my bank card without my permission. She advised me that her manager was not present. Not only did she take a photo of my bank card without my permission but she also took a photo of me without my permission. I asked Kelly to delete the photo right away and that she should have never taken a photo of my bank card without my permission. I explained that is extremely unethical. I spoke with the other employee, May and explained that I have patronized their business for years. I advised her that my mother, friends and sisters all come to their business but for you to take a photo of my bank card when the declining of the card was a result of your machine not being online is not how you do business. I explained that it was wrong and extremely unethical. There was a man that was present that advised Kelly did not know me. I advised him- it is not a matter of knowing me and that taking a photo of someone and a photo of their bank card without their permission is not anyone's policy. It is wrong and unethical. I traveled to MD for the weekend and was in desperate need for a gel manicure. I stopped in and was taken right away. Kim did a great job. She took her time with my cuticles and they actually look really good. Usually I don't like my cuticles to be cut because I don't like the way it looks and I always end up with hang nails. The place is nice on the inside. However, that is the only good thing. I wasn't asked how I'd like my nails shaped. Their prices are unclear as I got a full set with gel and my bill was $48. TRASH. I liked this place until I got shellac and had to get it re done bc it chipped in 2 DAYS. Then talked to whoever about getting it done again bc it started to SPOT a DAY after the re-do and they would not re do it or give me my money back. Cheap products!! I went there this afternoon and asked for an acrylic fill. She asked if I wanted to take my length down and I said a little bit. She then proceeded to take all of the length down and leave it to my fingertips. I was very unhappy about this. While she was shaping the nail with the drill she cut my finger 3 times and then when filing gave me a burn on my finger with the nail file. When I asked her to do a simple design on my ring finger (stripes) she said that she didn't know how to do that and wouldn't do the design for me. I have been getting pedicures for 15 years. This place used to be top notch...however, there must have been a change in ownership because the place is completely empty and an entire new set of people. Nail salons are required by MD law to let your feet soak for at least 10 minutes prior to beginning the pedicure, but this never happens unless the salon is packed and they need to buy time while they work on other customers...the man doing my pedicure had cold water at first, t...hen warmed it up when I requested it, ignored me when I asked him to let me soak longer, suggested I get the most expensive pedicure because I have dead skin (like, who doesn't? I'm here for a pedicure??) then rushed through the whole thing like he had somewhere to be. He cut my nails too short, one of my toes is bleeding, one foot looks totally different than the other, and then he waved the laminated price list back and forth over my feet to get them to dry faster. Classy. The "massage" was about 2 minutes total, with half lotion, half sea salt (not intentionally). They charged me $38 for a $25 pedicure, claimed to have used special products and provide services I know for a fact he did not, then laughed and spoke in Chinese when I told them about how unhappy I was, and could not have cared less. I went on Saturday afternoon to get my nails done and I usual get shellac but I got regular polish instead. When I woke up on Sunday my nails looked really bad they were all chipped. I went back today to see about getting them fixed. Everyone looked dumb founded even the girl that did my nails. I was told that their regular polish only last one day. Mind you my sister got her nails polised as well that day and here nails are just fine. And when I said well I will pay the pric...e difference and have them redone in shellac I was told that I would get a 5 dollar discount. When I said no I will just have them re polished he said to some girl who was rude that everyone was working for commission and I would have to wait. I showed the girl my receipt to prove to her when I was there and what I payed she threw it. Everyone was rude and kept telling me oh well. Got the deluxe pedicure and it was rushed, massage was a strange blend of lotion mixed with water, hot stone massage was literally 30 seconds before the man said the stones were too hot for his hands to hold. The gel mani was unbelievably horrible. After he was done my nails looked like a child painted them. He blamed it on the consistency of the nail polish and throw it in the trash. He brought another color out that did not match and said he would use that. He had to ask another nail tech to do some of my fingers because he was struggling. Aftwr he was done, I pointed out many areas where the color was on my skin. At check out I asked for a discount because I was so upset. They argued with me until agreeing to take $5 off. My BFF and I stopped by here a few nights ago for a much needed pedicure after walking all over NY. It was late (@ 7:15pm) and I was crossing my fingershoping  that they were opened because I had been there before and liked how that did. It is your average salon, nothing fancy but they get the job done. One of the nail techs appeared to be leaving but came in an did my manicure. The lady worked on my friend. This place is really close to where I live so I decided to give it a shot.  I started the day thinking I wanted a pedi and an eyebrow wax.  However, once I stepped into the shop, I was totally turned off.  It looked old and dirty.   There were 3 men on laptops, and one of them looked up to ask what I wanted.  I decided that I would not risk getting fungus from this place and opted just for a brow wax.  He sounded disappointed and yelled at some lady who was walking on a treadmill in the middle of the shop to help me.  She took her time looking at my brows, waxing, plucking, and trimming.  She did an OK job and was nice, but not for me to go back.  It was more expensive than the place I normally go to, and the other place was so much cleaner with more updated equipment.
