This place is cute and looks very clean. I got a pedicure and after my feet felt exactly the same, the use of a timer during your pedicure is also tacky imo. Had my eyebrows done also and she spoke over me and didn't listen to my request. While getting my nails done it was extremely obvious that the staff was talking about me and laughing. I confronted them and they said they were just confirming I need my eyebrows done. They talk on their personal cell phones while they do your nails also. This was my first time and a client of mine recommended this salon. The shop was busy, but they greeted me immediately and made sure I knew they hadn't forgotten me. I started going to Nailbar for pedicures about a year ago. The quality varies quite a bit. There are a couple of people I won’t have do it anymore. One is very rough & I leave feeling like I’ve been beaten. Others are very good. I got a manicure there for the first time about a month ago. I’ll never do that again. It did not even last 24 hours before it started chipping. Within a few days most of my nails had started chipping. I went in about an hour & a half before closing and there were only 2 other customers there so they got me in right away. But they clearly wanted to leave early. I wasn’t even out the door and employees were shutting off lights and heading towards the door themselves. They were out of the parking lot before I was. This is convenient in terms of location. The nail tech didn't like me, and I didn't like her either... I went in for a gel manicure and told her that I was trying to grow out my nails so could she please preserve the strength of the nail as much as possible. She said my nails will be so long next time I come, and then she used the electric file to file off the top layers of the previous gels ... but she didn't stop there she also filed right down to the nail in some places. Then she asked me if I wanted her to cut my nails.  I decided to watch her more closely and caught a few things before she messed up my nails further. By the end she was so frustrated with me she was rushing me through the last layer of gel so I wouldn't have time to check behind her and tell her anything else... if you don't want to be told anything then do your job right. Also, don't get mad and start talking about your customer in Vietnamese, we know you are talking about us. These people are assholes, I won't be going back. I never write reviews on places but I felt as though this place needed one. Despite the negative reviews my daughter and I went any way. It was a Sunday and the nail salon close to me was closed, so I figured I'd give this one a try. First off, I got a gel manicure. They broke my nail, and then looked at me to see if I noticed and just continued on. Not even a week in and my polish chipped off and was peeling. Never had I had this happen before. My  daughter picked out 3 colors for her nails and they only painted with one color. While she was waiting for me, she simply just held the paper hand fan and the one guy yelled at her. Eric, the owner is rude, arrogant and super disrespectful! I will never spend another dollar in this nail salon. I've been going to Nailbar for the last 3 months and the service was just okay. Today, I was there and the owner argued with me about what I was requesting. I requested SNS and he told me that I asked for gel and proceeded to tell me that if I wanted SNS I would have to wait(after being there for an hour and a half already). In the 3 months , I've seen how disrespectful he's been to other customers and that has concerned me. Needless to say, I did not engage with him in the back and forth. I simply told him to just give me the gel polish(even though it was not what I wanted), I paid my bill, did not leave a tip and left. I live locally and have been getting my nails done here for a while. I often think to myself while I am there," I should write a review because I am always more than happy with my nails and experience." Unfortunately I have trouble following threw and getting busy and forget to write :( Well today is different because I was there this morning and took my Grandmother with me. Our experience was so nice there was no way I could forget! As usual the service was impeccable, the staff was friendly, the owner as as accommodating as ever, and my personal favorite... SO CLEAN! My grandmother told me she felt like a queen, this was so special for me. I've been coming to Nail Bar for three months now and I have had nothing but positivity and a relaxing time. Eric, Jenny, and the entire staff are funny, vibrant, and willing to put the time and effort into providing their customers with the best. I've been to so many salons where they speed through your services just to get you out but the quality is nowhere worth what was just paid. When I spend my time and money at a salon I expect not only to enjoy the end product but to also enjoy the experience. That's exactly what I receive every time I've gone here. I have been attending this salon frequently since March for services. I usually am serviced by Vicky, and was saddened to hear by the manager that he had let her go, but I went to try another tech yesterday. Just to keep a long story short, I have never experienced such dissatisfaction and rudeness by staff or management like I did yesterday. The tech that did my pedicure rushed the job and my paint job was horrible. Her attitude was terrible she ignored me more than once and when I asked her to do certain parts over she said no. I did pay, and went to another salon directly after to get another pedicure. I was supposed to get a gel manicure right after but that wasn't happening, I refused to pay them more money to not be satisfied. I did voice my concerns with the manager on my way out, and he just said ok, with the least bit of concern. I usually don't do reviews but my experience had to be told. I went to Nail Bar and Spa for the first time over this past weekend and will never return . I had a appointment for a pedi and fill in @1130am and I arrived on time. They did not start my pedi until 12noon. The lady who did my pedi had a very nasty attitude , when she took me up front for my toes to dry she did not place my shoes near me, when I asked her for my shoes she told me no, I told her I would like my shoes with me and she picked them up and threw them down on the floor next to me. When trying to get information on getting my fill in done I was told that someone had a 1pm appointment so my fill in would have to wait , than when I expressed that my apoinment was for 1130am the lady that was going to do my nails seemed as though she had a attitude that I would be putting her behind schedule. I than cancelled my fill in and told them I would go to another salon . The owner Eric never apologized and seemed as though he had a attitude as well . For my first time there, dealing with 2 nail techs and owner and all 3 had bad attitudes , this made my first experience horrible, not to mention I did not get all the service done that I made a appointment for . I am very disappointed and disgusted with thier service and do no recommend anyone to receive service there . DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON. The customer service is Horrible and the owner is a jerk! The technician was waxing my chin and after telling her the wax was too hot she burned me twice. When I expressed that she burned me and asked for my money back, I was told that the manager had to issue the refund. He was not there and after waiting for 20 minutes, he didn't show up. I went the next day and showed the manager my burns and he made reference that I burned myself. The manager was non apologetic and gave me $20 back. Then proceeded to say that if I complain again, they will refuse my service. What? Your technician burned my face sir! And I was on my way to Miami for my birthday weekend with burn marks. Do not use this nail salon!!! I was just here for an acrylic full set and I will NEVER be back. Let me start by saying the place is beautiful and my nail tech was friendly at first. However, they are unsanitary and so unprofessional. My nails look like absolute shit: they were made shorter then I asked, my cuticles look awful, and they're all uneven. This would be enough to make me not come back, but wait there's more. During my service I was cut TWICE with the drill. The first time my tech apologized but did not clean up the blood or sanitize the drill bit my blood was on, just threw it back in the box. Then to top it all off the owner, yes the OWNER, was sitting at the bar playing a karaoke game so loudly that I couldn't hear myself think. Needless to say I am extremely frustrated but based on prior reviews I didn't bother to argue and make myself more annoyed. Nailbar is unlike other "nail salons." It's very relaxing and chill. I've had to go other places when they're too packed and I can't really wait for an appoint but Nailbar is always my first choice. My pedicure was good but not at all impressed with my manicure. There was not much work done to my cuticles or the skin around my nails at all. They don't look much different than when I walked in there. The cuticles were not pushed down so the nail polish was painted over them and is already flaked off/all my nails have chipped (this mani is only a couple days old). I came in to this nail salon about a month ago, and the layout and everything was nice. However that was about it. I was trying to make my mind up whether I wanted white tips or a regular color. My nail tech was rushing me to decide, so I just told her do white tips. Me and my friend were the only two people in there so I didn't understand why she was rushing me. Anyways, I was expecting a nice white tip full set square shaped; and I leave with the WORST manicure I've ever had. The shapes of the nails were ALL DIFFERENT, the white tips came down way too far, and she wasn't the most gentle. After I realized the poor choice salon I went to I wanted my money back, so I went into the store the next day and they said "you can't just say you don't like it" "you're not allowed". I left with no money back, and the nail techs talking badly about me and being very rude. It's a little long, but PLEASE READ!!! I just recently (as in 2 days ago) visited nail bar. Was not my first visit but definitely my last!! I had been here a few times before. Not the greatest but not the worst and it's convenient to my home. I hadn't been in a while prior to a couple days ago because I had an issue with the quality of the work last time and when I tried to address it with the owner, can't remember of his name is mark or Eric but anyway, he gave me a lot of hassle. I even expressed to him that I was just trying to make him aware of the issue and I was willing to pay for re-polish. He still gave me a lot of crap. But anyway, fast forward to couple of days ago. Decided to give them he benefit of the doubt that they may have been having a bad day and again they're super convenient. Went in for a manicure. It was the WORST experience ever. The first lady working on my nails was very rough and in a rush. She gave me plain water for soaking... and had finished filing, buffing and cuticle trimming in about 5 minutes!!!! Another customer came in so she and another employee switched so that she could do a pedicure. That was ok. The second lady took one look at my nails and immediately began the filing, cuticle trimming and buffing process all over. It was horrible. This lady was also in a rush and very impersonal. She informed me that the type of gel polish I wanted would be $5 extra and I told her that was fine. After she finished the filing, etc., she commenced to polishing. No one ever used the cuticle oil, and even though 2 people filed and everything, my nails are uneven and today (2days later) I have loose skin around my cuticles! It does not look like I had a manicure just a couple of days ago. After she finished polishing my nails, she ran out the door so fast that a young man had to come over and take my payment!! I was still sitting at the station and she was out the door!! But guess what, I left a tip with the young man to give to her anyway. But guess what I'll never patronize them again and I would not refer them to anyone. Service sucks and quality is lacking. First visit and definitely wont be my last..... I reside in Philly, and was in Baltimore and desperately need a re-fill..... after reading reviews on yelp I decided to  give Nail Bar a try... I called and was easily accommodated with an appointment. Arrived on time and was greeted with warm.. nice, clean environment.....the salon is very beautiful! Lots of color choices and helpful staff... I didn't catch the girls name who started my nails but Tim finished and polished them.. love the length and color.. the hand massage was amazing. After my first visit at Nailbar, I can honestly say that I was impressed. I received positive feedback about the salon from 2 female customers/regulars with whom I was sitting as I got a gel manicure from owner, Eric. This was my second gel manicure ever, and I really enjoyed my experience!The salon is very bright and clean; Eric told me himself that he prides himself on keeping the tools sanitized (a medical-grade autoclave), using a new towel for each customer, and ensuring the customers have a good experience. Upon check-out, Eric also said their work is "guaranteed" (for how long, I do not know), and he would correct anything without blaming the customer. That's reassuring!The tiny downside is that walk-ins are generally not welcomed. I noticed this when Eric asked a walk-in to come back in about 2 hours, as they were very busy/booked. However, he allowed a regular to be seated and serviced (hmmm). Appointments are crucial, people-- it's a simple & quick phone call away. I'm very pleased with my gel manicure (only a day old, currently), and will definitely be coming back. The price is very reasonable (in comparison to the Spa on the Avenue gel manicure at $45). Also, the Spa on the Avenue doesn't give as NEARLY an amazing hand/arm massage after a manicure! Also, their selection of gel polishes can't be beat-- they also use OPI at no extra charge. I love Nail Bar & Spa. The atmosphere is nice, very clean and relaxing. The prices are reasonable and the quality of work is great. The owner, Eric, is a good man. He is always friendly to his clients, however I have noticed he will not tolerate rude customers and he will stick up for his employees. I had situation with the gel polish I picked out, and he fixed it for free and was very accommodating. First time or two I went there they were nice and did a good job. Last two times I walked out There were two of us and had appointments and were told yhat they were running behind and may be a half an hour or so. When I questioned Whats the point of an appointment he was extremely rude both times and would not even let me speak. He said "listen to me" and said if we didn't want to wait that long feel free to go somewhere else. I told him he had very poor customer service skills He didn't care. They have gotten so busy that he doesnt care if he turns people away or is rude. Will never go there again! It is not a friendly place n the owner is very rude!
