So I normally get my nails done at a salon in DC but I figured I would try somewhere close to my house. I normally get a gel manicure on my nails and i can stretch it to last up to three weeks without any chips. I pulled up at the salon at 9:30 (their hours of operation) and they were still closed. I sat in the parking lot until 9:45 until the nail techs arrived. That should have been my first clue. The lady immediately called me back and started on my nails. I picked an OPI color and she told me they didn't have OPI anymore. So I picked another color and she told me that the color was old and sticky. I then picked another color that I liked. She did a great job shaping my nails but she did not do a good job applying the gel. I had the clear coat all under my nails and round my cuticles. I think the top coat was old because I have bubbles on my nails.  I woke up the next morning and noticed that my thumb was lifting and another nail chipped. I returned back to the salon and someone attempted to fix it. He tried to say my nail broke. Do not waste your 30 dollars at this salon. So I stop by this nail salon last week sunday for just a plain ol gel manicure. I didn't have my hopes to high because most places in the northern pg county ,for some reason, cannot do nails to well  when compared to nail salons in southern pg county (temple hills, oxon hill, district heights etc.). Anywho, I decided to give this nail salon a try, reluctantly. Once I got there, there was a 20min wait, which was expected since I was a walk-in . I waited , waited, and waited and until I told the nail tech in the front that I will come back another day since the 20 min wait turned into almost one hr.  She reassured me that someone will be with me soon.She singled for a women who came from the back to start my nails. She did my manicure and applied my gel sooooooo lovely. The polish wasn't thick, no hanging cuticles and my nail tech was a protectionist; making sure no polish left on my skin.  Needless to say it was well worth the wait and I. Will be returning. Great place! I came in 30 minutes before closing and asked for a gel manicure, color change in my toes, and eyebrow. Usually, a nail tech would rush through my nail because they want to go home. Horrible place. Been there a couple of times. Theres one lady there that does things in a rush and leaves your nails uneven. She claims she has years of experience but she doesnt know how to keep a customer happy. Very uprupt, rude, and messy. Would not recommend to anyone. Read Less

The first time I came to Vision Nail & Spa was because Rose Nails (across the street) was packed and no one acknowledged me nor the five women behind me for 10 minutes.Well, I'm glad we caught that shade because if we hadn't, I wouldn't have stumbled upon a MUCH better nail salon where every nail tech is skilled, customer service is sweet and it's never crowded! I also appreciate the fact is super-clean here as well.I've made appointments here, and I've come in as a walk-in - and not once have I ever felt rushed, like I was just a number in queue for the night.Nail techs take their time here and every application  is flawless. Plus, they have one of the HUGEST selection of gel colors I've ever seen - you can match your "regular" pedi color with your gel mani here with ease! Jenny used to do my nails.  I made an appointment with her at 11:00 for 3:30.  When I walked in she looked at me and said "you call me".  I said yes, she looked away.  She was 30 minutes late getting to me, the first 15 she still had a customer, then she said, I'm very hungry, going to eat lunch first.  That was another 15.  Before she left, she said, you pick color and don't change mind.  You always change your mind.  I said whatever, cause I wasn't in the mood to let her speak to me in front of ppl that way.  I always use mood polish but the colors are nothing like what's on the display sheet.  They don't even match the color on the bottle so when she started to polish (the last time, about 30 days prior), it came out purple.  I didn't want purple and I expressed it but I took it anyway.  It wasn't too bad after all.  That is why she make the comment that I always "change mind"  She ate her lunch and came back.  I'm sure she didn't wash her hands.  She started the manicure.  Previously one of my gel nails came off.  It's on my dresser.  When I show her the blank nail, she wanted to charge me for repair.  Then she insisted I do a full set.  Granted I only had 1/8the new growth, because she didn't do so well the last time, she chipped away at the bottom and edges, by this time, I'm 1/4 new growth.  Now she wants to do a full set and charge me.  I argued with her that she just did a full set, and remembered the date cause I was leaving town at that time and could show her on my bank statement on my phone how much she charged...it was for a full set.  So I made her do the refill.  Now I'm steaming.  I ask for the Owner, she looks at me "you want owner", well I really needed my nails done, I said, no "I got it".  She was rude and I talked to GOD to help me stay classy.  Oh, and when she pushed my cuticles back after the gel refill, she used her razor sharp "DIRTY" thumbnail to do so.  It hurt and when I pulled my hand back and said "You know what", I knew someone was in trouble.  But I kept praying.  I told her, your nails are dirty.  Still trying to find the owner info. I've been coming here for years (since high school so about 8 years). This is my main spot to get my eyebrows done , ask for Kim. She is the best. But most of the nail techs are pretty good at brow waxing, so rest assure. Just tell them you want a shape up and they will know what to do from there. As far as nails, I got my nails (full set with acrylic tips ) done here a few times; I usually paint my own nails and get acrylic tips for special occasions. They were just ok. The nail tech didn't rush through it and took her time but they seem to be too thick and oddly shaped. But then again I don't get my nails done ever. In all, great place for brow waxing! Read Less

My experience today at vision nail and spa is very upsetting. I was made mockery off in their language, every staff sitting around literally debating who will attend to me. My coming to the spa literally upset the workers. They refused to do full pedicure. They just cut my nails and send me packing. I do not recommend this spa location. All they care about us your dollars, no customer service. Read Less

Vey nice place , been coming here 3 years , I must say their customer service could use some help , the manager seems to always have an attitude , but other than that , I love this place , I used to live 5 mins down the street , recently moved 30 mins away and I still make the trip! Read Less
