After a long hiatus from regular nail services, I decided to try a new place out.  There are many shops locally, some with dedicated clients raving about techs masters in the latest trends, however, I will not deal with elitist or "im bothering you" attitudes,  but I digress.I made an appointment online, and they called me shortly before my appointment to inform me they were running a little behind.  I appreciated the courtesy. I was greeted right away, and waited about 10 minutes.    The tech waa friendly and apologetic for the wait.  I explained that I wanted a short full set, and I showed her a picture of the nail shape i wanted and she was upfront about an upcharge.  She gave me options for different products.   She did an excellent job sculpting my nails and filed gently...it didnt hurt like it sometimes can! She then brought me over to soak my feet and explained that she would finish after my pedi.A second tech did my pedi.  I opted for the deluxe.  I did not notice the aromatherapy scent at all.  Chair was comfortable, massage remote in good and working condition. Plus!  Unfortunately, I didnt get names, but the woman who did my feet did a fantastic job!  Gently scrubbed, decaloused, and clipped.  Perfect amount of pressure to avoid feeling like being power sanded or tickeled.  Heavenly reflexology massage, great paint job.  I was taken back to the mani area immediately.   The tech confirmed what I wanted, and gasp, ZERO attitude that I wanted different color gels AND i forgot the number!  I appreciate that!  End result, my nails look fantastic.  My cuticles were in horrible shape and she somehow worked magic with minimal manipulation.  Only thing I did miss was no hand cream and hand massage to close the service which I am accustom to.Overall, I'll be back.  Both techs were friendly, not over chatty.  I appreciate that they were mindful of my time as well. Great Nail Salon! My go to to get my nails done. Prior to going to Heathers Nail Boutique I was not picky about who did my nails. Now Donnie is the only one that is able to do them. The best pedicure I've had in a while. This is one pedicure that I truly felt relaxed at the end, no complaints at all. I picked the Herbal Pedicure because I was in true need of TLC to the feet. new to the area & this nail salon was the closest to my home, with pretty good reviews so I decided to check it out. I got a gel mani (added a photo) the nail tech was nice. it's really nice and clean inside & they have a wide range of colors. my only complaint is that: Ive been to several nail salons & gel manis are usually $30. the gel manis are $35 at this particular nail salon. I absolutely love the job they did with my nails! I was desperate for a new set of acryllics and they seated me immediately and were very attentive to my needs.  They talked me into getting SNS and I was really impressed with the time she took on my nails. My husband and I got a couples massage back in April I believe (or March... ). It. Was. AMAZING!!!!! I had Danielle & my husband had Rosie (or Rosa... sorry!) but they were sooooo accommodating! I thought the massages would happen in the same room & they weren't initially but they moved the tables out to the neutral area, had candles, we had champagne and cupcakes before hand it was - again - AMAZING!!!! Short of laying her whole body atop of mine she gave me a really strong massage and made sure I was still good the entire time. Meanwhile I asked my husband afterwards (this was his first professional massage) he said it was great - hard when needed - a bit gentle elsewhere. This nail salon was amazing. I got my nails and feet done with no issues and no wait on a Saturday afternoon. This was my first visit to Blue Ocean. I came specifically because the do SNS (dipping powder). Donnie was was gentle and patient with me. I had a nice glass of wine while I got my feet done. I told him once how I wanted my nails shaped and he got it. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn't leave him a tip on my card. Even with their prices being a bit steep I still wanted to leave a tip. So unfortunately for him I didn't have cash and wasn't allowed to leave a sign of appreciation. Read Less

I first started going to their Ellicott City location and was thrilled when they opened the new Jessup location as it is much more convenient for me. I went in on a Friday morning for a pedicure, I chose the Ocean Wave Deluxe pedicure. From the moment I walked in the door the staff was very kind and attentive. The constantly checked on me to ensure I was receiving good service and didn't need anything. The pedicure itself was amazing!! The technician had great massage skills and took her time as opposed to rushing through that part, when I get a pedicure that is the part I look forward to most. I actually told the technician I needed to bring my husband in so she could show him how to give a proper foot massage lol The aromatherapy smelled great and didn't wear off quickly, it lasted up until I took a shower the next morning. I treated my other to their current special, #BeeMyValentine. This included champagne & a dozen chocolate covered strawberries that we were greeted with once we sat down. Once we split up, I received a full organic facial (bomb!) then to top it off, an Eminence Organics Chocolate Mousse Hydrating Masque (everything!!) The facial also included a scalp, arm, hand & shoulder massage. meanwhile, he enjoyed a MUCH NEEDED Swedish Massage with warm love potion oil for an entire hour that he raved about! There was no rush, very clean, and professional. Unfortunately, they were using their exact print menu for Ellicott city location which is more like a spa. Ms. Lee and husband are great. They know what it takes to get the job done. If you go during the day you will find it will be very relaxing. They take their time. I've known the owners for over 20 years. the previous review from a few months back- (I heard the person NO longer works there). Please try them again and let the owner know about what happened. I have known the owners of Mission Nails for probably 20 years. They have done my nails, eyebrows, and whatever service I've needed at their previous shop, at an unrelated shop and at Mission Nails consistently throughout that time. I have never had a bad experience, never any issues with my nails or skin. In all of that time, I have NEVER observed them being rude or unprofessional to any clients. Clearly the two reviewers who felt rushed out came in together, and felt the need to write the two separate negative reviews. I am sorry they felt they were wronged, but perhaps could they give these owners, these HUMANS, the benefit of the doubt and consider that there may have been a reason why they needed to close a bit early that evening? Have these negative people never had to leave work for an emergency? I think not. I do think that before they publicly denounce a business, they should go back to the business, talk to the owners and try to have the problem corrected. That would have been the professional way to handle a problem..... And as for the reviewer who wasn't able to choose her nail tech, did you make an appointment with that specific person? Were you privy to the shop schedule? Perhaps she had a client she was waiting for...maybe even one that didn't show? What if you had an appointment and you arrived and your tech was working on someone that had walked in and you had to wait? Again, maybe you need to think or investigate before you make public comments.Read Less

I never write reviews , but this place was horrible and it needed my review. The worst service ever, DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went with my cousin today and the guy that did her nails was rude and unprofessional. While I was drying my nails there was ten minutes to close and the manager, THE MANAGER was like you need to leave, all because they wanted to close the shop ten minutes early. Unfortunately, I had already paid and tipped before the manager bluntly told me that I couldn't stay there. I was in shock that a manager of a business behaved so unprofessionally.
