It was over all ok. The water didn't stay hot so they had to keep pouring hot water from a kettle into the tubs. The prices I paid was for a spa experience, $70 for a milk and honey pedicure and eye brow wax. The towels they wrap around your legs get cold so fast. For this kind of price....they need to get better ways of performing their services. The guy I had, don't know his name was a little rough. Hurt me a couple of times. I drove there from Baltimore. They were I must say very professional, courteous and clean!!! They also gave me a shot of wine in a wine glass. The best coffin shape in town! Seriously! I've been coming here for 6 months now and should have been wrote a review. Good thing they remained consistent. I love this shop because it's so clean, they're fast, and they do a bomb job. All the time. I was hesitant to try at first because the old shop that was there before, but Nail Tiki is new and nothing like the old place. They do everything; nails, lashes, waxing. The worst experience in a nail salon. The salon itself was cute and reviews were good so that is what made me want to go here. However when I was getting my pedicure the nail tech, Peter, was having trouble painting my toes. Started talking in viet to the other nail techs and they started staring and laughing but then decided to crowd around me and continue laughing and looking back at me while talking to each other. I proceeded to ask what was the problem and he said nothing. Then the other nail techs were laughing. So at this point I'm just ready to leave but they already started soaking off my sns polish. I asked for SNS and asked if it was possible to do pink to white ombré with that. They said YES. NO, they were about to start with gel. I told them that gel does not work well with my nails , as it causes them to break easily. The tech told me it is like sns and that it was a gel powder. Long story short I have an "ombré" which looks like I'm in need of a fill the techs continued to point and crowd around me saying words about ombré and coffin (which I was getting) (I was also the only person there) and laughing. Kenny has been doing my nails for over a year, and I couldn't imagine going to anyone else. The salon constantly restocks with new colors and products, always giving us a chance to try something new. I recently tried the SNS Dipping Power, and will not go back to gel nails. Kenny is careful and takes his time so that you leave with nails that last. Very nice staff and they are quick. However, I was disappointed because the gel polish started peeling two days after I had my nails done which I haven't had happen before. Even though they are nice and reasonably priced, I won't be back. I need my polish to last longer than two days. Read Less

I really like this nail salon. I recently moved into the neighborhood from DC and was worried that I would have to travel far to get a quality mani pedi. The service is great and the place is very nicely decorated. Smells great, nice and clean, and gives very relaxing vibes. Mee Mee did my pedicure and she was awesome sauce. I recommend getting the spa pedicure, it's worth the extra $15. Oh and they serve complementary beverages which is a plus. Also,they prefer tips in cash.Another plus is that they use a new pumice stone, wooden nail cleaner, toe separators and file on your feet so you don't have to worry about the cleanliness of their utensils. I went to Nail Tiki because of the great reviews on Yelp, but I was very disappointed by my experience. I came in to get a pedicure and a fill in and my friend joined me to get a pedicure and full set. My friend walked out an hour and a half before me and somehow it took the nail tech over two hours to complete my FILL IN. I would've been okay with someone taking the this kind of time on my nails had it been good work, but my nails were mediocre at best. The shape of my nails that were repaired do not even match the rest. By the time my nails were finished, I had spent three hours in the place, I was already running late for a prior obligation, and couldn't wait to get out of the place. BEWARE...This nail salon has one of the most greedy and inexperienced person working here. The person who did my feet did NOT do a good job because my toe nail polish began to chip off within a couple of days. Mind you, my two sisters got a pedicure at this salon the same day that I did mine and their nail polish still looks good. To make matters worst, I told the man who did my pedicure that I wanted an arylic manicure; instead, he performed a basic manicure and acted surprised when I said I wanted acrylic. Even more outrageous, he charged me for the basic manicure ($15) and for the acrylic fullset manicure ($27). Therefore, I ended up paying $62 dollars, including my pedicure. When I first entered the salon, I even told the receptionist that I wanted a pedicure and acrylic manicure, so I know I was not the one mistaken... SMH. The customer should not have to pay for the employees mistake. The man didn't even do a good job on my nails either! Look at the picture...The nails are big, cracking and has bubbles. If I lived nearby, I would definitely be a regular customer! I had time to kill before my doctor's appointment so I decided to get a pedicure since the weather is getting warmer. I was greeted and given water as I was seated into my pedicure chair. I assumed that the person who did my pedicure was Kenny since he was showing another technician the ropes since it was his first day working. Kenny was very friendly and thorough when doing my pedicure. I decided to get the spa pedicure and it was lovely. The mask had such a yummy and fruity smell to it and I loved the massage. This place is amazing. I've been living in Hyattsville for some months and I could never find a good salon until now. The salon is clean and stylish, with great products. And Kenny is amazing! He's great at nails, and is such a nice guy. You can tell he knows what he's doing, especially with 17 years of experience under his belt.
