This place seemed a bit racist to me. I came in for a nail toe nail polish change because I had just received one from this place two weeks ago and a fill. This man proceeds to tell me their nail tech has not come in and they can’t do my nails. There was a white young lady who came in after me and they took her with no appointment??? They do not have enough techs to service their clients. I was actually told they contacted the employee and she did not answer the phone? I was confused. I absolutely LOVE this place!! My best friend and I decided to come here based on a recommendation. We have now made it our twice per month date! Everyone is so nice. They have accommodated us without appointments (before we learned we should make an appointment). Every nail technician we have had has been so friendly and did an excellent job. I work in the healthcare field and I always notice cleanliness. This salon is top notch. It is incredibly clean, they use disposable liners/pedicure packs, and anything that isn't disposable is sterilized in plain sight. Neither my friend nor I have ever been cut here or felt like any of the techs were rough at all. They don't talk about you in a foreign language like I have seen at every other nail salon I have been to. Getting my nails done used to be a very uncomfortable experience and was something I did out of necessity because of a vacation or wedding. Now, it's fun and relaxing! I've visited twice and I'm pretty sure this will be my go-to spot for manis and pedis. The decor is really chic and modern; the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed; the nail techs are knowledgeable and friendly; and it's clean! I like that Anne took her time with my mani and pedi and I'm very pleased with them both. They also have a large nail polish selection and they have SNS which I love as it's helped my nails to grow. The decor in this place is beautiful, stations are well spaced and you can tell they really tried to create a relaxing atmosphere. Accompanied some friends who were getting a manicure/pedicure and decided to get a basic manicure. I had on gel polish so the attendant went through the motions of wrapping my nails in remover and then I sat there while she attended to her scheduled customer. Okay. No issues. And then I sat there...and sat there for almost 20 minutes. She noticed I was getting annoyed so she calls over to another lady, perhaps the manager because she came over while chatting away on her phone call. What happened to customer service? How can I believe you are focused on the task at hand, my manicure, while you are telling the guy on the phone that when you call customers it's your name and not the business that shows up on the caller id? She takes off the gel polish and walks away and I go chat with my friends who are getting a pedicure because obviously this is their spot and I'm trying not to just walk out. Enter third attendant who continues where the other lady left off. You want polish? No. Just a buff. A buff and shine? Sure. He completes the task but stops periodically to say his arm is tired! Surreal. Just want to get this over with. Guess how much for the service? $30! I'm sorry. Why? Well, $18 for a basic manicure, $5 for gel take off, $7 for buffing. I said you have no displayed price list (I should have asked). Fine. Here's your money and do note my tipping is purely perfunctory. Here's a tip: be honest with your customers. Say? Went in to speak to the manager (very nice man) to see if I would be able to observe their nail techs since I am interested in attending nail tech school and am currently an esthetician. The nice manager asked the lady at the front desk what did she think about me coming in for one day and right in front of me said she it would be like another girl there and she is “just so tired of that”. The manager apologized but needless to say I will not be a client there nor refer any of my clients to this place. The only reason they got 2 stars is because the male manager was very nice. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. This is a higher end nail salon with what appears to be pretty experienced nail techs. I had a pedicure with callous removal and massage...I believe it was the pamper me and it was $60. The reason I subtracted a star was the chairs don't recline or massage...and I enjoy that part of a pedicure. Gave this nail shop a try when things were too hectic at the shop I normally frequent. You can tell who's a regular and who's a newbie based on how they treat some of the patrons. That's not necessarily a bad thing but everyone there is spending money and came with a certain expectation.I really liked how they have the reward system that tracks your visits, and points and accepts mobile payment. The decor is great and shop is well maintained.  There is enough space that you don't feel crowded and packed in like some shops do.If they remember, they do have an assortment of complimentary beverages and snacks for you to enjoy while you're waiting.As for the chairs, they're stationary without vibratory/massaging features. The use of liners are used for sanitation in the foot tubs and it is apparent that new tools and implements are used on each customer.I appreciate the varied colors they have and was mesmerized at some of the nail art I witnessed while there. My own services were good and I would frequent them again.For some places language is a barrier but they will call someone over if there is a disconnect with what the customer is asking. I took my boyfriend for his first-ever pedicure at Mani Toes, and this place is THE BEST!!! The salon is so elegant and modern, and all the staff we encountered were wonderful!Mani Toes is definitely a bit pricey, but the experience was lovely and much more like a true spa than your run-of-the-mill strip-mall nail shop. I did make appointments before we came, so I'm not sure how long we would have waited as walk-ins, but we were seen right on time and had a great experience!The shop is SPOTLESS and feels 100% clean and safe, which I LOVE. I just moved here a year ago and have been all over Odenton, Crofton, and Gambrills to find a solid nail salon. I finally found it and am so happy with my Mani/pedi that I could just squeal. The ambiance is nice and the decor is just gorgeous. The nail techs are all super friendly and take great care of you. And you can earn points for every $100 you spend. This salon was easy to find and is very pretty inside. I arrived without an appointment on a Saturday and was seen right away. So far so good.I came here for a gel fill. I brought in a photo of a specific nail design I wanted and showed it to the tech I was assigned to. The nodded and said "yes yes" so I assumed all was good. The tech made no attempt to speak to me but was very chatty with other techs. I am assuming he didn't speak English. They spoke and laughed with each other in their native tongue which I always hate. It's just bad manners. During this time he cuts my finger twice with his little drill and draws blood. Once the full is done he gets up without a word and a different tech sits down. I showed her the photo and she tells me she can't do it. She couldn't even come close. Her English was very bad so it was almost impossible to communicate with her. She was able to tell me that I was going to have to pay $10 more than I was quoted initially. I was mad at this point. I just let her do her thing. Pros: The decor is really nice and the space is beautifully designed. They have an array of colors for regular, gel and dipping powder. (This dipping powder set was a great color.) The price for dipping powder and a basic pedicure was $77, comparable to other places I've tried. They offered chips and water.Cons: Although nice, the chairs are very uncomfortable if you're trying to relax. The backs are literally straight. The nail techs are not the friendliest, the lady I had was very rough, she kept pulling my hands, and during my pedicure she dug way too deep into my cuticle. I had a pretty good experience. Every one was very nice and I felt very pampered. The decor inside was amazing. Extremely comfortable chairs, very clean as well. My only issue was how my gel nails came out. They weren't bad by any means, I just did not like the texture of them. Some of my nails are lumpy looking and one you can see the brush strokes. I loved Ann but this review is for David. He made my cuticles bleed multiple times and he seemed as though he was rushing to get finished so he could go to lunch. When he was "cleaning up" my cuticles and made my bleed; he never wiped the blood off he simply just painted over it and now it's just sitting in my cuticle. This review is long overdue but blame my crazy schedule and not my heart guys... because Mani Toes is where my heart lies!!! The shop itself is like no other nail salon I've ever patronized. It's ALWAYS impeccably clean and spotless... I mean how could you not be with an all white color scheme. The layout, decor, & ambiance are the creme de la creme of modern chic elegance. There are no tvs, fountains, little Buddha statues, bamboo walls, or dated pictures of hands being polished to distract you or cause eye sores the way you may find in a typical nail salon. This salon is so posh, it almost feels like it belongs in L.A. or Manhattan instead of in Gambrills.At mani toes, I am always met with great vibes and positive high energy from Chi and the rest of the team which is refreshing after a long day's work. Speaking of refreshments, most recently I arrived to my 4:00pm appointment not having eaten anything all day and as always, I was immediately offered snacks and beverages to enjoy during my pedicure which really saved my day. They even welcome you to bring in and enjoy your own beer / wine / champagne while you are having service, which makes this a lovely way to enjoy a girls' day, have a romantic date, or even enjoy bridal/bachelorette festivities with your squad. I personally LOVE to catch up with my girlfriends in their big beautiful pedicure chairs while enjoying the "keep it natural" package.As for the nail services, I have never been disappointed with any nail tech's work at Mani Toes and have seen Amy, Ken, Lily, Ann, & Tony all do amazing nails and toes. My nails and toes ALWAYS look great for 3-4 works after a service from any one of them with no chipping or breaking and I have never had any one of them knick or cut me the way I have experienced at other salons. That's not to say my cuticles aren't trimmed perfectly and my pedicures aren't thorough because they will go deep into every crevice of your foot & toes if that's what you like or be as gentle as you may like. Mani Toes is family owned and operated & you can tell every one there works like one big happy family, but more importantly they treat their customers like family, ensuring you love your service or they do what it takes to make it right. Beautiful interior. The friendliest employees at a nail salon that I've ever encountered. Everyone speaks English well... with a sense of humor.I only go to one nail tech... i folliwed her from another salon and she is excellent... Lily. Her bf is great too. I'm sure the other techs are great... ive2heard good reviews on other techs. The only issues i have is the pedicure chairs are really pretty but dont massage. The area where you step in and out of the massage chair seems dangerous as it is slippery. They need to put some type of slip pad there or folks will fall..  and... people are sue happy... i prob wont get another pedi here while pregnant as i dont want to risk fslling. Read Less

I finally found "The One". I've been looking for a nail salon for months, but I was never 100% happy with their services. I used to do my own nails for which I am very picky. I sadly don't have time to do my nails anymore (baby's fault). This place is great: 1. Looks amazing 2. They are very courteous 3. Tony, who did my nails, took his time to get every nail done correctly. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he was able to recreate it.... I am so disappointed in the treatment that I received today.  Especially because today is my birthday.   I specifically made an appointment for 4 o'clock today  because I planned on being back in town by noon.  Chi and I had a very detailed conversation about this appointment as I shared why I needed 4oclockWell, today I arrive for my 4oclock appt, and the salon is very very busy.  More people being serviced than I have ever seen.  I go to check in , and Chi approached the desk, to tell me my appointment was at 2o'clock.  ...i corrected him, by showing my appointment, and he still remained oblivious to the fact, that the appointment was written down wrong in their scheduling book.  So, I asked how can i be accommodated,  since clearly there is a mistake?,  Chi simply did not care to try to help me with today's appointment, nor a future appointment.  I was appalled, and very disappointed as I have always had positive things to say about this new establishment.  Today, it all changed, because the lack of effective communication, listening skills, and over bookings were in full effect.  My time, money, and great tips can go else where.  I don't recommend to anyone to start investing your time, or money here.  God forbid they make a mistake , you will be blamed, nor accommodated, nor serviced, or cared for.  Will Not Be back, Will not Recommend, I will be sharing my experience with everyone that has listening ears.  I will try my very best to discourage any and everyone to not go. I had really high hopes for this new nail spot. I called and made a reservation for the Saturday during Memorial Day weekend at noon, I said to the receptionist that I understood if they were too busy and could come another time. He assured me that they could for two pedicures in. My mom and I arrived at 11:55, noon appointment, we checked in and were asked to wait a few minutes. We waited 30 minutes. The service was just mediocre and for a new spot I was disappointed that when I moved my feet I'd hit a broken part of the pedicure basin and my technician was annoyed with me. Last I checked it's not my fault that something in your brand new shop is broken. The pedicure was 3 star. Decor is nice and clean looking. Probably won't be back though. Read Less

Was looking for new place for gel manicure & Pedicure. Found this on Yelp and gave it a try. I was there early today and it was packed. When asked if I had appt, I responded no & receptionist said it would be a while before I could be seen. A man came up and asked me to come on back...to my surprise. Just about all Pedi chairs were full but I got in open one right away. The atmosphere was very nice and everyone seemed very friendly. An older woman greeted me and began my Pedicure. She did not speak much but was very pleasant and did a thorough job. It seemed that she was new and didn't have appts. It seems that most customers there had appts and knew their nail Tech by name and vice versa which was nice to see. A Salon with "regulars" gives a good vibe.My Pedicure was done well as any other that I had and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. This was my very 1st gel manicure so I don't have a reference to compare but it seems nice enough.Mani Toes is about 40min from my home. It would be me nice to find somewhere closer to home but I will travel for good quality service in comfortable environment.I will try again and plan to bring my mom too. Read Less

Came here before my wedding after seeing their Instagram and reading reviews.First of all, the salon is impeccably clean, modern, and beautiful. Cleanliness and atmosphere are really important to me, so I was extremely pleased with that.Second of all, everyone was EXTREMELY friendly EXCEPT the man that ended up doing my nails. He didn't communicate with me really at all, and was visibly annoyed whenever I tried to give him instructions. These were my wedding day nails, so I was being extra particular; however, even if I wasn't getting married I am a paying customer and these are my hands. I requested an ombré french manicure with acrylic extensions; the color/gradient was done really nicely, but the lengths were uneven and the shape was inconsistent. I only noticed the varying lengths after I left and by then I had a wedding cake to pick up so I couldn't go back. My nails were cracking and dull before the week was out.My pedicure was lovely, but I'm disappointed in the longevity of my gel pedicure. I specifically got it so it would last and remain shiny, however by the end of the first day my pedicure was dull and streaky and within a week it was chipping and peeling. I think a regular pedicure would have lasted longer and looked nicer.I don't think I would come back, based on the quality of the product (manicure and pedicure) I received, especially since it is a little out of the way. However if I lived closer I would since it is so clean and beautiful, they have a rewards system, and since most of the employees are very friendly. Read Less

Went for a fundraiser. I had a great experience with the friendly and fun staff. They treated the ladies from our school wonderfully, even snapped a few pics for us. The interior is spacious with lots of natural light, and decorated nicely. My toes look AWESOME, my nails look great...for however long that will last ;)... and my wallet is NOT empty. I worked with three different technicians and everyone was friendly and open to my directions (I am high maintenance.). I will be back soon to see Amy, Chi, Tony and the rest of the crew.
