I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, and it was a great experience that I had to even get a pedicure as well! We went on a Friday in the middle of the afternoon and they were pretty busy, but we got taken care of within 15-minutes so it wasn't long (but it is advised to make an appointment). During your pedicure foot bath, you get free drinks (water, soda, or even WINE); the latter by itself is a winner. For my first experience, I thought it was great lather massage on my feet and I never felt my feet and legs so smooth. We also got the Paraffin wax treatment ($8 extra) to the classic pedicure of $30. My girlfriend got SNS manicure and she was very impressed by her nail specialist, her name was Ana. We also had Judy helping us, which she was good too. Very nice atmosphere and clean! Finally, if you pay in cash you get an automatic 5% off and we came during a student promo week and it was 10% off, so together we got a 15% discount. Great experience! Read Less

Im writing this review on my husbands phone so it’s really his wife talking. He brought me to get my nails and pedicure done as they were closing. I️ walked in and I️ asked if there was room for one more, with smiling faces they said yes! I️ went to the back for a pedicure and at first the lady wasn’t very happy with my request. I️ thought she was playing, but she became very rude and my husband and I️ looked at one another and said, I️ think she’s serious. I️ then requested someone else. The manager sent over another lady and said she was gonna take care of me. I️ was beyond relieved, but I️ couldn’t believe the other lady was so rude. The lady that was sent to replace her (Mi) was so amazingly sweet and accommodating, she made me forget about how rude the other lady had been. By my 3rd glass of wine I️ was relaxed! I have been to this nail salon several times and honestly I have pretty consistently had a good experience and I am pickYYY!   I have repeatedly had success with different nail technicians.  Most recently recently I was very desperate for my nails to be done for an event in DC last minute on a Wednesday night at 7 pm.  They are open until 8 and took me in an I was so grateful! Mai did an amazing job with a very beautiful sns red with sparkles that matched my dress perfectly. She did not grind on my nail and did not use the gel top coat she did the authentic SNS system perfectly.  Two and a half weeks later I was back but only because they were growing out not because they were chipping.  So tonight I came for a new set of SNS and a pedicure with design.  I requested Mai and she did not disappoint! I had such an awful day and was feeling pretty ugly and she made me feel pretty and relaxed! And she did a very fun Whimsical toe design that made me happy!     I even learned some Vietnamese phrases with my new Google translation app. like Thank You is "cm n bn". I have been to most of the salons in the area repeatedly ever since my favorite technician from Bowie left years ago.  I will be sure to come back and ask for Mai!  And if you haven't yet listen to Vietnamese music you should try Đàm Vĩnh Hng! I love this place! I started going here a year ago. I love the fact that everyone is friendly. Mrs. Tina used to be the manager but they are now under new management. The gentleman is very nice and accommodating. Greets everyone and makes sure they are comfortable. They open brand new packs of utensils for each person. AND they will serve wine or water during your experience!!! If you are getting a pedicure, they have invested in disposable liners in their foot tubs. They did that to provide a sanitary environment. I love this! There are a lot of options to choose from in your type of pedicure. I've treated myself to the paraffin one. It felt so good and made my legs silky smooth. The manicures are great as well. There are a few choices for a manicure. I've always kept mine simple though. Gel manicure with a lovely hand massage. I like that they do clean under your nails. I've had both my feet and hands done with gel color. My feet last 2 months at least. I am grateful that I have always had an awesome experience there. If you do go, let them know Cindy sent you! Really enjoyed my mani pedi this morning. The salon is beautiful and very clean and Kate did a fantastic job on my nails for my baby shower tomorrow! Prices are just right, they have an ATM in the store bc they don't do tips on cards which is super convenient. And it only took about an hour, but wasn't rushed at all. I really enjoy getting pedicures and manicures from here. The prices seem a little high but then again it is worth it. I will say the staff is very friendly and the salon itself is very clean. I understand there will most likely be a wait if I walk in on a Saturday but today was too much.  I arrived at 1:48pm and after about 10 mins got seated in a pedicure chair.  I was asked if I wanted something to drink but after that, no one said anything.  At 2:28pm with my feet in a bowl of cold water and no indication as to when my services would start, I left.  Please respect my time.  And since you don't, I will never be back. I would give 0 stars if I could. Decided to try this place out after hearing good things...went in to get a pedicure and a full set but never got past the pedicure.  The nail tech kept clipping me with the cuticle cutters later leaving cuts on my cuticles. The water was freezing nor did they ask how I'd like the water. I paid $40 for a rushed job and butchered cuticles. Absolutely FANTASTIC customer service from the front desk to the spa service itself and the work is impeccable. I have been going there regularly for a minute now and they honestly can't be beat. I also love the abundance of pedicure services they offer, so you can get exactly what you want and need. All of their instruments are packaged individually for each patron, so they really take hygiene and safety into top consideration, and the polishes are plentiful and not watered down. We found this salon because we had a poor experience at another nearby salon. We made last minute appointments here for 2 pedicures and a pink & white nail service and were served immediately when we walked in. The nail techs gave both of our pedicures at the same time (surprisingly rare) and a great polish service. The service was great and the tools were clean. So I think my anger level towards this place has come down enough to write a review. If you have another place in mind please go there! I gave this place a fair shot I went there 3 times thinking that maybe if I go to a different tech I will get better service,  boy was I wrong. All of my nails are a different shape and size. The tech that I got on this last visit (whose name has escaped my mind) was the worst of the bunch! I felt like every time I go in there I'm being rushed. It's  not like they were busy. I told her what I wanted and instead I left with a bleeding finger because she decided that putting acrylic underneath my finger nails was a good idea! I was scraping off the acrylic and nail glue that was on the side of my hand off for days. There was a huge glob under my left pinky which she proceeded to peel away with a good chunk of my skin (my finger was throbbing for 3 days) as I complained she tried to make it seem like it was no big deal and tired to make small talk. At that point I was steaming! She insisted that she knew how to file my nails in the shape I like which is coffin but she had NO clue! She made my fingers look extra wide and flat. Came in here when Bella nails, my usual location, had a several hour wait. I was pleasantly surprised, this place is awesome. Got a deluxe pedicure and had one of the longest & most relaxing pedicures of my life! Soooo nice. Brand new place, only a few months old but sure to blow up quickly like Bella did. Such quality. First I want to say that the staff is very nice! The salon is clean, quiet and fume free. I selected a spa manicure and gel manicure. From what I could see they had 9 pedicure spa chairs, but only 6 people giving pedicures so I had to wait to be serviced.  They use disposable liners on the pedicure spas. The tech who provided my pedicure did a great job & she took her time. Next was my gel manicure. The lady was very nice & friendly. She explained to me that the tech who did my pedicure didn't know how to do gel manicures yet... so 2 techs observed her while she worked. My gel manicure result is ok. She didn't apply the gel polish on my entire nail so I don't think it will last for 2 weeks. Maybe I'll try again. The grand total $60 ($30 for regular pedi and $30 for gel manicure). Edited to add they give the option of water, red or white wine. They offered me water only and at the end I was asked if someone was coming to get me... They thought I was a kid LOL I'm used to it. =) Read Less

Need I say more.Great customer service.My gel nails did start to peel less than a week later...but i am rough on them.I was under the impression that this place was owned by the other Bliss in Odenton which is where I usually go but I found out from the Odenton location that this place and Annapolis have used the Bliss name and added 1 to it... but they are not owned by the same people. The friendly folks at the Odenton location are pretty upset by this... which if I were the owner I would be too.Anywho... This particular location had great service. Lots of colors to select from.Just as Odenton, they offer SNS nails... which is extremely healthy for your nails and much harder than gel. Had I known that they offered SNS, I would have been getting a long time ago. (I now have SNS nails on again). You can either add length or put over your real nail.Purely off service and quality this place is a 5 star. Being petty and taking the name from Odenton-- they need to be good people and correct this... but "that ain't none of my business"...But if you go to the bliss website for Odenton, they have a disclaimer on their page about this... :) Read Less

Water was the perfect temperature (& they ask you if its ok) The designs are Standard not detailed/modern like I wanted but I settled. Gel nails are good. 3.5 STAR RATING!I was trying to go to Bellas on Route 3 by IHOP but they had a wait time of 30-45 minutes and I didn't have time to wait around.  I decided to go to the nail salon that was by the Blue Dolphin.  To my surprise they closed down back in November.  However, a new nail salon, Bliss Nails and Spa 1 is now in the strip mall.  I decided to give them a shot because they had a 20% discount for all services until the end of May. They have only been open for one week.As I walked into the salon it was very nice with neutral tones and soft music.  The salon was a little dark and definitely needed more lighting.  I was the only one in the salon at 11:30am on a Sunday.  I requested a mani/pedi.  I picked out my color and was told to head on back.  The woman, didn't catch her name told me she would put me in the back because they are still doing renovations. The renovations were a little distracting because it made the salon look incomplete.  The paint job was messy and they had holes in the wall. Nothing crazy but it seems like it would have been a better option to wait to open. I am being a little critical because I am comparing it to Bella's. They do have a different set up than other salons.  They have chairs that are right next to each other (still getting hooked up), two pedi chairs facing each other, and pedicure chairs that have a wall blocking you from the next station.  That's a nice touch if you just want to relax and be left alone.As I sat down to get my pedicure, she asked me to test the water.  It was cold, not lukewarm, but cold.  We eventually got the temperature right and she did a good job with my pedicure.  I requested a design on my big toe.  A flower.  She asked me if I wanted just a flower or if I wanted it to be 'busy?" I said, "Busy."  I am not going to lie, I was a little disappointed in the design.  It wasn't ugly just not what I was expecting for a busy flower design.  I was on a time crunch and didn't feel like having her do the design over. While she was finishing up, two more customers came into the salon.  One of the ladies requested her.  She took me over to the manicure station and told me that she had a request so someone else will finish my manicure.  That was ok.  A little odd but whatever.I got a regular manicure.  My water was very cold when I put my hands in.  They need to work on the right temperature.  It wasn't only my water, the two other ladies said their pedicure water was way too hot.My pedicure was $30, manicure $15, and $5 for a design. 20% off, it came out to $40 bucks...not bad.  This salon was some kinks to work out but I think if they make a few adjustments they will do well.  I was in the salon for an hour and 15 minutes. A little bit longer than what I wanted to spend in a nail salon for just a regular mani/pedi. They offer tea, bottled water, and water with fruit out of a dispenser.
