3 days ago my good friend and co-worker took me here for my very 1st "professional manicure"...It was PATHETIC. I'll have to go back to have the gel manicure removed, after that I'm done and do not recommend them. My friend is a bit of a regular here because its close. I am URGING her to switch salons asap! Smh. Let me explain...Ladies, this place is BASIC:. They don't do 3D Nail art, not even a single rhinestone.. They don't have patterns or stickers.I make better designs at home with a dollar store deco kit. When I came home and showed my fiancee my nails even HE was disappointed. Luckily I was treated to this mani. I would have walked out if I was paying.The unfriendly atmosphere, lack of selection, and limited skills of the manicurist are NOT WORTH IT.Furthermore,Let me explain.... Customer service is pathetic/non-existent. My manicurist did not greet me or smile at all. She doesn't listen, ignores questions, and did not explain the process at all. She was also texting and checking her phone (UNbelievable). My technician rushed me to pick my colors and gave me something I did not ask for.When she whipped out those scissors to cut my cuticles I was all the way on edge, I would have protested if I hadn't spent time watching YouTube videos the day before to know what to expect getting a mani. That part went well and when she applied lotion to my hands at the very end it actually felt good but that's it. Everything else sucked.. My friend and I were separated 2 or 3 tables apart despite the fact we came together and were the only 2 getting our nails done. So, no GirlTalk chitchat, just an awkward boring experience with a tired employee preoccupied with clocking out and texting..Through my own effort as a friendly person I was able to get her to talk. She told me she's been painting nails for 10 YEARS, yet she couldn't paint a flower on my nail??? And she's charging me $5 for a flower and $5 for glitter? Ontop of what my friend was already treating me to? The flower she wants extra money for is an ELEMENTARY 5 dot you make with a spaghetti stick in 4th grade! It did not even maintain shape during the drying process. Lint was cured onto my nail and an airbubble on my right-hand middle fingernail. (Attaching photos). She also scratched up the entire surface of my nails in every which direction when she buffed them before painting. It was horrid you all.I thought this would be fun. I came PREPARED with reference photos and everything for exactly what I wanted, only to be told they don't have this and can't do that. I was disappointed but still optimistic so I chose a much simpler design (I'll be attaching photos so you can see exactly what I mean). The manicurist rushed me the whole time picking my colors and didnt even bring back the right ones. What I got was not even REMOTELY close to what I showed her and she wouldn't listen to me during the manicure. Not to be confrontational I let her go ahead and do what she wanted and swore to myself I'll never come back and I sure as heck won't.If I'm going to expose my skin to UV light and risk skin CANCER I better darn well get a smile and what I asked for! GO ELSEWHERE! You deserve it.

I'm unimpressed. I've high expectations when it comes to services concerning my nails, skin and body. First, you get what you pay for. The pedicure I received on yesterday was by far the worst one I've had in many years. I didn't catch her name but she's probably the worst nail tech there. I think the nail salons around here should really care more about there customer service and quality of work. I won't be back. Waste of money, time and expectations.

It's not easy finding the perfect nail salon to get pampered. This place is the best! Every nail technician is friendly and attentive. Plus, when I get gel on my nails at last more than two weeks. When I go to any other places it only lasted a week and a half.

I followed Mai from another salon when she moved to this one. She expertly cares for my nails better than any other nail technician I have had. They are longer and stronger than ever and my gel polish always lasts at least three weeks, frequently longer. Their prices are at or lower than most local salons I've tried.

I went here the other day because I really needed my nails done. They hadn't been done in a while and I decided here because it was close. I walked in and the nail tech was kind to help me find the color I was hoping for. The service was okay. She didn't talk much but I enjoyed that I could zone out. The location is a tight spot for parking and it could definitely be cleaned up. A lot of the tools look old. Also when i for home I noticed the nail polish had not been complete, there were pockets where there wasn't enough color. And some acrylic stuck under my nail instead of being trimmed off. Probably won't go back.

I realllly wanted to like this little place because it's close to where I live and the prices seemed typical of the local shops-Also because they actually kept my appointment.But the tools were not clean, the gel fill is so thin it will not last 2 weeks, and the paint job is the sloppiest thing of life. I 100% could've painted them better myself. He put no less then 8 coats on my nails. Obviously, the quality of the paint cannot be that great if you need that many layers. Also, when you put that many layers it makes it much easier to peel off because it is thick. You better believe the moment that it starts peeling, I will go back in and ask them to fix it and I won't be paying for the fix either.

Nice people but the quality of the nails are not up to par. The place is also very dirty and smelled like cigarettes. The prices are reasonable but I had to come back again to get my nails fixed...

They did good job. The tools came out of a sanitizer but the whole place is very dirty and run down. It was also dead quiet in there. No music or anything, kind of unnerving. Prices were as expected.

I have been going to this salon FOREVER and the people are like family to me now. I can only say that I am very disappointed that THE BEST pedicurist in the shop is no longer working here. Judy was incredible and it is sad that with new management comes change of a great thing.

Great service and experience. Great prices and polish selection. They have all the new colors. The pedicure chairs were awesome and relaxing. Plus they had the Food Network on! Amy was my technician and she was sweet and funny. We chatted quite a bit which made the time go faster. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. She took her time working on my summer/pool feet. Loved the color are help he chose. The foot/leg massage was on point. I selected one of their new gel colors and she really took her time to make sure the gel set and the nails were on point. Great experience! The place was clean and quite busy for a Saturday so I was lucky they accommodated me as a walk-in. I'll definitely be going back. Ask for Amy!

My girlfriend and I went to Modern Nail to get pedicures and the experience was decent enough.There was a rough start, but it went uphill as we went and in the end, it was worth the $25 we spent each.When we arrived, I noticed that there wasn't a pungent smell that many salons have, something a mix between chemical cleaners. It was pleasant enough to look at, and the chairs were moderately comfortable. The "speed" function on my massage chair was broken, but all of the other operations worked fine. I don't love massage chairs to begin with, but this one did ok.However, when they started the foot baths, my water was much hotter than I wanted, and the staff assumed that everyone wanted scalding water. When I mentioned it, one employee insisted that I just get used to the water instead of adding cold water. I thought she was rude and fortunately she didn't do either of our pedicures.From there, the service was fine, and they did a good job on both of our feet. They did make my girlfriend's big toe bleed a little while cleaning out the sides, but otherwise they did a good job with the massage and cleaning. My girlfriend did notice one feature: the "sterilized" equipment came in those sterile bags, but since she works in a dentist office and sterilizes equipment all day, she noticed that the marking on the back, a brown stripe, didn't color in and therefore the tools were perhaps cleaned but not sterile. This bothered us both, but we let it go.Overall not bad at all for the price, but they could definitely make some improvements.

While the hubs was getting a massage, my footsies were in dire need of maintenance. I normally do this on my own but since he was treating himself, i thought i deserved a treat too!This was the closest nail salon that i could find and they accepted walk ins. I forgot the name of the guy who did my pedicure but he was fantastic. Before we started, i told him i was really ticklish so he was gentle with my feet. Their pedicures include a small foot rub which felt really nice. Overall, as this was a spur of the moment decision, i was happy with the end result. My feet feel super soft and they no longer look hideous! Pricing is not bad either.You cannot add gratuity to your credit card so be sure to have some cash on hand.

I have been coming to modern nails for as long as I can remember. Kim, Vee and Nam are usually my go to people. Every time I walk in I am greeted warmly by everyone. The prices are phenomenal and they are so attentive to detail. I had an ingrown nail that had been bothering me for a while but with Kim and Dan's help its gone and I havent had any pain since! Absolutely love this place :)

Dan is the best manicurist I've had yet. I book with him every chance I can get to have my nails done. Even though I've moved about 25 miles out of the area, I still make it a point to drive up and have him do my nails. He knows exactly how I like them done and the exact color I go with. Other salons I've been to don't do my nails the way I like, so why bother jumping from salon to salon when I can go back to a place with a nail tech that knows exactly how I like my nails done? I've been coming here for a couple of years and on all but one occasion, which has to do with a specific manicurist/pedicurist, was really happy with how my nails came out. I don't make an appointment and get someone different almost every time, but all but one of the people there are very careful and take their time with your nails. My toes last for many weeks, while fingernails just under one - but that's because I use my hands a lot for dishwashing, etc. $36 for mani/pedi is not unreasonable, and you get a comfortable massage chair to sit in while getting your toes done.

I decided to treat myself to a mani-pedi and the sign on the window said walk-ins accepted, so I dropped in. I paid $36 for the mani-pedi and she did a good job on my feet but my fingernails turned out a little sloppy. It seemed like she was rushing to finish before the shop closed at 7 pm and unfortunately it showed. I might go back because the location is so close to home, but I'd go earlier to leave plenty of time to get everything done well.

I used to come here specifically for this lady with short hair - Her name was Judy. She was the best pedicurist ever! She was so detailed with the pedicure, took her time with every nail and my pedicure by her lasted longer than others. She painted my nails perfectly each time. Judy's awesome!! I had to call for appointments.

I'm unimpressed. I've high expectations when it comes to services concerning my nails, skin and body. First, you get what you pay for. The prices are phenomenal and they are so attentive to detail. I had an ingrown nail that had been bothering me for a while but with Kim and Dan's help its gone and I havent had any pain since! Absolutely love this place :)

Dan is the best manicurist I've had yet. I book with him every chance I can get to have my nails done. Even though I've moved about 25 miles out of the area, I still make it a point to drive up and have him do my nails. He knows exactly how I like them done and the exact color I go with. Other salons I've been to don't do my nails the way I like, so why bother jumping from salon to salon when I can go back to a place with a nail tech that knows exactly how I like my nails done? Make Appointments If you can ! Especially with Sandra. She takes her time and it definitely shows.. My pedi and manis last 3-4 weeks with her. When it comes to designs and eyebrows Vee is the best!!

STAY AWAY! My daughter went for a manicure and pedicure with Judy last Tuesday and is now dealing with an infection to her toe nail. She is now on antibiotics and may need to have her toe nail removed by a doctor since the infection is not going away. If I could give this place a negative five star rating I would.

I've been coming here for a couple of years and on all but one occasion, which has to do with a specific manicurist/pedicurist, was really happy with how my nails came out. I don't make an appointment and get someone different almost every time, but all but one of the people there are very careful and take their time with your nails. My toes last for many weeks, while fingernails just under one - but that's because I use my hands a lot for dishwashing, etc. $36 for mani/pedi is not unreasonable, and you get a comfortable massage chair to sit in while getting your toes done.

I decided to treat myself to a mani-pedi and the sign on the window said walk-ins accepted, so I dropped in. I paid $36 for the mani-pedi and she did a good job on my feet but my fingernails turned out a little sloppy. It seemed like she was rushing to finish before the shop closed at 7 pm and unfortunately it showed. I might go back because the location is so close to home, but I'd go earlier to leave plenty of time to get everything done well.

I used to come here specifically for this lady with short hair - Her name was Judy. She was the best pedicurist ever! She was so detailed with the pedicure, took her time with every nail and my pedicure by her lasted longer than others. She painted my nails perfectly each time. Judy's awesome!! I had to call for appointments.
