I went as a walk in, I was the first customer there. Everyone was really friendly. The lady that did my mani and pedi was very quiet (which I prefer since I like to just relax). I wanted a clear mani but color for pedi. She accidentally started putting the same color on my nails. Although it wasn't what I wanted I'm not hard to please. She offered to change it but I had somewhere to go. I enjoyed the atmosphere and I think I'll go back. She took her time, which I loved and I didn't feel rushed. That's really important to me. I have burnt feet due to someone using the "gel callus" remover during my pedicure. As a result, I had itching and burning. I told the person who was doing my pedicure and they said "Don't worry. That means it's working". It looked like a rash on top of my feet when I left the salon. It looked worse as the day went on, like how a sunburn looks worse at night than during the day. It especially looked bad on the bottom of my feet. I went in the next day, showed several pictures, explained what happened and they said, "Don't worry. It will get better. It's a very irritating product. We use it on everyone." I asked to see the product because I want to be sure that it is never used on my feet at any other nail salon I decide to use. I will never again use this salon. They showed me the product and on the front of the bottle, the instructions were to not leave on the feet for more than 2-3 minutes. After that, it's supposed to be rinsed off with soap and water. They slathered the gel on my feet twice and scrubbed at my calluses with a sharp tool 3 times after using the gel. It was never rinsed with soap and water. The person who did my pedicure had gloves on his hands the whole time he used the gel callus remover. Obviously he knew that it is very irritating to the skin. When I complained, Nail Trix did not apologize, offer me a free pedicure or refund what I paid. I suggest that anyone who goes in to avoid the gel callus remover. Better yet, don't go in at all. Their "customer service" is appalling. I've been to Nail Trix twice they are very friendly. Sofia waxed my eyebrows, she's very gentle, and precise. They turned out perfectly. The pedicure was phenomenal. Sofia used pressure point techniques to help relieve the tense muscles in my calves. My she rubbed my feet and my heels with a sugar scrub, then an exfoliant to remove calluses and dead skin. I was thrilled by the choices I had for nail shapes, rounded, stiletto, coffin shape, regular square and rounded square. I had such a good time. I was able to sit back and relax. Drank a glass of wine and just chit chatted. The prices are very reasonable and the owners are super friendly. It took about 3 hours but it was well worth it. My next appointment is already scheduled. It's April and I'm still going to nail trix, I love Victor he is amazing, through, and quick. I came to this nail salon at the turn of new ownership (November 2016) for the first time. I too work in the beauty industry so finding places with hours that accommodate my schedule is difficult. Victor took care of me and I haven't gone anywhere since! He's great at almond/stiletto shape and they LAST. SO glad there is new ownership! Read Less

I'm really torn between 3 stars and 4 stars. The folks were great. My daughter and I popped in for an unplanned mani/pedi while on vacation. Our nails were badly painted, filed and placement was a little off, the pedi was nothing major. It wasn't even a full pedi. So, why would I give it 4 stars and not less? Had two appointments for simultaneous pedicures with my daughter before she left for college. We walked in five minutes early, and waiting 30 minutes after our reserved appointment there was an opening for one of us. We explained we no longer had time to wait, she spoke under her breath in another language and walked away, and we left without service. Can't recommend this place if you're on a time table. I came in with my boyfriend a couple of days ago for king and queen pedicures. We had appointments for said services. When we came in we were seated with Anne and Victor and was immediately told he did not know how to do either service so I settled for a lesser pedicure. Anne continued to provide a king pedicure for my boyfriend but frustrating that she speaks no English. A paraffin dip is part of king service but that device was broken. Anne attempted to do this from bags ve...ry unsuccessfully, spilling everywhere including on his legs. While Victor was doing my lesser service he also took a client in the other room and started goin back and forth from me to her. Neither of us were satisfied but paid and left as had to get to a date out of town. Today when I called to share my experience which has left me unsettled for a couple of days (can't look at my feet and not think about it), I spoke with the owner Tiffany. She listened to my tale on the phone and was apologetic offering me a refund which I would have to come in for. I don't drive so told her I'd call right back after I secured a ride. I called back when I did, she once more confirmed for me to come in and I went. Once there I was bombarded with an argument between Tiffany, Victor and myself and told I would not be given a refund. This is thevparr that really upset me because twice I was told by the owner to come in for a refund which is something I had to make time for. This practice is completely unprofessional, disrespectful and ill mannered. Needless to neither my boyfriend or I will return to this establishment and I will be informing the better business bureau. I will never go back to this place. The co owner, Jackson, is such a creep. He's too touchy feely, always hugging, rubbing, even went as far as to rub a pregnant woman's belly (without asking) when I was there, she was so uncomfortable & looked like she was going to cry. I had to find a new nail salon since the lady who used to do my nails moved, so I decided to try this place out. First I will say everyone was friendly and it seemed cleaned. But my gel mani was horrible. Thank god I didn't ask for a design which I usually like to get. Not only was it a bad manicure but a few of my nails were filed down crooked. I have been going here for about 7 years and I always leave feeling great about my nails.Tiffany is amazing - I can literally show her a picture of whatever nail design I want and she'll get it done. Sometimes it takes a while there but that's because she's very knowledgable and spends time on each customers nails. Prices are great for the service you get - bring an idea or picture to show and she'll make it happen.The other woman who work there are family members and mostly do pedicures and some manicures but if you're looking for an amazing gel or acrylic set + great nail design then call and ask for Tiffany. Okay, where should I begin....came to Frederick, MD for work-related training and was sincerely looking forward to getting a really good pedicure and manicure. Nail Trix was the first shop that I came across and they did not disappoint! Tiffany and her mother were wonderful, they offered outstanding customer service and the job that they did on my toes and hands was just beyond awesome! I wish that I could give them 10 star rating!!! Rather you are local, or stopping through on travel, you will not be disappointed!!!
