Went here a week ago for just a basic black gel manicure. They were able to accommodate me, as a walk in, pretty quickly which was much appreciated. The couches in their waiting area are very comfy!! Took about 20 minutes, and cost $30 for a gel. Nails are looking fine, growing healthy and still look great! Read Less

The service here is wonderful and the staff genuinely cares about your comfort and what you want done. I typically get pedicures done here and the $40 spa pedicure is truly worth it and it's very relaxing; definitely a great "treat yo self" incentive. went to this salon this past weekend and was very pleased.  They massage your legs forever and it feels great!  My manicure was a regular manicure - It has been 3 days now and my nails still look good - no chipping yet.  Prices are very reasonable compared to other shops in the area.This place is not noticeable, thanks to the shopping center owner.  The name of the shop is not over the actual shop so you have to go looking for it.  The shop is actually to the right of the sign about 3 stores down. I recently moved from baltimore to hoco and i tried nail salon after nail salon and this was the ONLY place that did the shape exactly how i wanted ! There tecniqe on doing the nails was different from anywhere else and the woman who did my nails was very kind and made sure she did them correctly! I went to bliss nail salon thinking itd be the best because i googled ellicott city nail salons and it had 5 stars , but my nails were not even properly done ! I went to avalon and when she removed the gel polish you could see what a crappy job was done underneath , i even had 2 nails just fall off in the shower after 2 weeks .. But she fixed them right on up ! Never been so satisfied with my nails ! My husband even loves them :) highly recommend !!! Read Less

Sooooo I've been going to this salon for years! Every time I come in I'm always greeted by name by the owner, Tran. FYI-- She's awesome and super attentive. This visit was especially great because I was prepping to go on vacay and I needed the works! Gel mani, pedi and brows. So I went to the salon first thing in the morning (they open at 9) I walked up at 9:03 and the door was propped open ready for clients(this isn't always the case at other salons; sometimes doors are locked or staff is missing). I walked in and Thi, my nail tech, greeted me, asked what services I wanted today and showed me to the polish selection. She worked on me the entire time. From my perfect pedi to my marvelous mani and beautiful brows. I can be a little particular about things and she didn't mind. Overall, I love the service, the familiarity, and the pampering! I've been here 2x. The first time was only for a pedicure and it was great! The second time was for a pedicure and acrylics. I picked a bad color for my toenails and would have required 3 coats instead of 2 that she did, so this I passed over as my fault. I now find out after taking the polish off that I have toenail fungus! If that wasn't bad enough, the acrylics were done very fast and crappy, but were very inexpensive and looked good from far away. She didn't fully glue down the tips so there was space between the plastic and my nail that collected God knows what over the next few weeks. The acrylic was uneven and in some spots misshapen. I hope this helps somebody with their choice of nail salons. I wish I had the name of the tech. Read Less
