Nice salon, they are a bit under staffed. The lady Jessica did a very nice fill. However I told her I like my nails long ( I already came into the salon with long nails) and she cut them all the way down. You wouldn't even know I have acrylics. I visited today 01/20. People are super friendly here. Seems they have a lot of regulars because they knew everyone’s name. The lady who did my service gave the best massage too. She was super sweet! Also, nobody pressured me to upgrade to a more expensive pedicure or do a wax. Which I really appreciate! I think the place could use a fresh coat of paint inside,but who really cares about that. The only thing I felt bad about was seemed they got a little backed up and they missed a ladies appointment at 11. She left at 11:30 which honestly I understand. She had a kid to pick up. I have reviewed this salon on yelp previously but I just can't explain enough how wonderful this place is specifically the nail technician Amy. She is so wonderful. I get the deluxe pedicure and she truly takes her time with every detail. She does an amazing job. The owner is extremely sweet accommodating me as a walk in even though I know she was very busy. I've been here a few times. It's usually hit or miss. I will say in the past I had received a very long lasting dip powder manicure. This Thursday I went in for another dip powder manicure. I had pieces of glue on my nail from recently removing acrylic nails. I also had clear nail treatment polish on my nails. The nail tech did not remove either. Instead she soaked my nails, did some cuticle work, and lightly buffed the surface. After that she started dipping my nails. Some she dipped twice, others she dipped three times-this resulted in having some lighter nails and some darker nails. Fast forward to Saturday evening, my dip powder began popping off. They weren't cracking off in corners, the entire nail popped off in one swoop. The polish didn't adhere to the nail bed possibly because there was old glue and polish on them or because she did not prepare the surface enough with her filing. Now Sunday and because I do not live near Elkridge, I'm paying another salon for the service I should have received on Thursday. Another thing to note is there level of sanitation. They just put tools in the sanitizer without washing them off prior. My tools had someone elses skin still on them when she removed the tools from the sanitizer. Then after she replaced the tools she used on me in the sanitizer, she pulled out some grimy cuticle nipper from her drawer to use on me. Read Less

I have been ISO a nail salon for about a year now, and tried this one for the first time! It was great! I saw a young lady by the name of Moon, she gave me a milk and honey pedicure ($35) and a it was amazing! She didn't give the 30 second foot massage and scrub she took her time and applied the scrub and took about 5 min on each foot/leg AND gave me a nice long foot/leg massage when she applied the body butter! It was amazing! Her cuticle work is spectacular she didn't rush she didn't cut me....that's the key....most nail salons rush you through to get to the next client! Not here! I also had gel polish removal ($5) and Gel polish change ($15) a gentleman helped with the removal while i was getting my pedicure and he cut and filed my nails. I didn't get a manicure because i had one a month prior and i don't need them often. Once Moon finished my pedicure she applied my Gel polish! AGAIN she took her time, applied the polish over my entire nail and they LOOK AMAZING, my nails look as if i got a manicure! I highly recommend this salon! It was clean, peaceful, i was offered a beverage and everyone was friendly and i believe in tipping WELL in CASH for great service! I recently moved to HoCo from Canton and have been trying hard to find a nail salon with great techs, lots of polish colors, and at the right price. Lavender nails hit the trifecta. The salon is very nice and they keep all of their utensils very clean. The nail and cuticle clippers, etc, come out of sealed packages so you know they have been washed and haven't been used on other customers. Most of the staff was pretty friendly. I got an SNS powder dip manicure for the first time (Fu did my manicure) and it turned out really well. I am very happy with it. I also got my eyebrows waxed. Another employee at the salon did the waxing and I was pretty unhappy with this. You can't really tell when you're at the salon because you're still red and puffy but when I got home, I realized that it looked like I didn't even get them done! The tops of my eyebrows were unwaxed. I know the waxing is really based on the opinion of the employee doing it so I will make sure I stick with my normal salon for this since they know how I like to have them done. Being new to the area, I've been looking for a new nail spot as I'm really picky about my nails -they're natural. I like them painted a certain way, filed a certain way...you know typical over the top girly stuff!  And John was able to meet that! I walked in on a Monday after work. It was pretty busy for a Monday evening...not jam packed, but definitely a little more busy than I expected. However, that did not stop them from catering to me as soon as I walked in the door!  I told them I wanted a gel mani, I was handed an assortment of gel colors to select from and seated within 30 seconds!  That's what I'm talking about!!  John did exactly what I asked for!  So, I think me and my nails may have found a new home! :) Read Less

Hands down the best nail salon I've been to in Maryland. I didn't grow up in the area, but I've spent a few years in Baltimore and haven't been able to find a salon nearly as good as Lavender Nails. I'm not as concerned with the massages and pampering that come with getting your nails done - but when it comes to nicely shaping and polishing nails, this place is fantastic. The salon is clean, the tools are hygienic, the techs are friendly, and the prices are very affordable. I've gotten regular and gel manicures here a couple of times now with different techs, and I've been very happy with my nails. So glad I found this place! Read Less

Just left Lavender Nail & Spa and had a wonderful experience. This was my first time here and I am usually very picky about my nails but they did a wonderful job! I did not have an appointment and walked in they were able to accommodate me fairly quickly. Amy was my technician, I had the deluxe pedicure with French. She really took her time and gave me the complete pedicure! Some places I feel really short you when you get the deluxe pedicures, the massages are not usually long or they skip a step but not here! First time here.Not a fan. I got a cut that was bleeding and I had to ask twice for them to put on an ointment. She even buffed my nail which had the cut and it got some of my nail dust in the cut. When the ointment was finally placed, the bottle also touched my skin which isn't hygienic. There was no pressure applied to the cut either. Secondly I left with gel nail polish outside of my nail and just messy application. I had to run to work so I didn't notice how messy it was. There are also some spaces by my cuticles where there there isn't  polish. I'm sure that there's really good people who work there that do a terrific job. Such a great salon! After being raised in MD (Montgomery County area) I'm so glad I finally discovered a great salon! Jessica is SO incredibly kind, and her work is beautiful! Exactly what I am looking for. For starters, they're clean. You notice that they Clorox and wipe down the pedicure and manicure areas after every customer. Also, their nails tools are opened fresh with every client. Which is something that's so important!Secondly, their work is great! Their gel acrylics are so thin - and look super natural! Jessica is amazing! She made my gel nails look like my very own! Also, after 4 weeks I felt bad taking them off because they had not chipped one BIT (just had growth). Their prices are decent compared to the area! Not too high, or low compared to other places I have been to. They have a very wide variety of colors to choose from as well! They also do the perfect match to gel for you, which is convenient. Lastly, I highly recommend making an appointment! They prioritize their appointments during busy times. This is nice because I always make appointments at other places and end up still having to wait forever - they prioritize you and request appointments only during busy times. I decided to give this place a try because of all the 5 star reviews everyone was giving. I went in for a pedicure not up to a week ago (I went im on Friday, I am leaving this review on a Thursday) and it is already chipping. The lady who helped me, i think her name was Helen, wasn't personable. She barely said one word to me and kept leaving to fix other people's eyebrows, which made my time there longer. Then I noticed she was talking about me to other manicurists around her because they would all look at me whenever she said something. It was very unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable. I decided to check out this nail salon after I called around for pricing on a gel pedicure. This one was cheaper than other ones and I decided to go here because it got high reviews. I enjoyed my pedicure as I felt that my nail tech took her time. The massage was very relaxing both the foot massage and the recliner back massage. Employees are all very friendly. The brochure I picked up on my way out is helpful. It lists the services and pricing. It seems very reasonably priced. I seldom have seen manicure and pedicure for only $35. Loved the pedicure experience here! Got the milk and honey with my husband. One complaint is the way the tech cut a couple of my nails at a crazy angle, and one corner doesn't match the other. But it was very relaxing, nice polish selection. FYI, we were informed that you can't add a tip to a credit card payment, so we had to scrounge for a tip because I don't normally carry cash. Looks like I may be the only guy reviewing this place. Came in on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a standard pedicure. The place is clean and the ambience calm. Was seated right away. Jessica gave me my pedicure and was friendly and professional. My nails and cuticles came out great, ready for flip flop weather​. I visited the salon on a Thursday afternoon for a gel French manicure. Helen was the technician who provided my service, and she was very kind and courteous. The manicure was rushed because there were several people waiting, but I was a bit dissatisfied with my manicure because within 12 hours, there were two chips on the tips. Within 3 days, there were several other chips. I would have loved to call back to the salon to get it fixed, but I was traveling at the time and wouldn't be able to go back anytime soon. I was disappointed because this has never happened for me with a gel manicure before, and my boyfriend proposed to me shortly after this manicure. Overall, the people are nice and the salon is clean, but the longevity was not what I expected and I suspect that this was only because of the rush in service. Read Less

I was in and out within an hour and Annie paid so much attention to details I absolutely love my nails! My daughter and I came here for manicures on a weekday evening. I received the best manicure I have ever had from Fu. He was very attentive to each nail and took his time cleaning up my cuticles and nail bed. He was generous with the gel coating and my nails look great. Lily gave my daughter a full acrylic set and filed them to a point, as requested. She also said that it was the best manicure she has had. She messed up her paint while drying and Lily corrected it right away. I am new to the area and haven't found a nail salon yet. This is a nice little salon with great manicurists. My nail technician removed old dipping powder nails attentively and gave me a nice gel manicure. She really tried to pay attention to detail. Two issues, though. One - one of my nails ended up pointier than I wanted (I asked for round.) Two, and this is a major issue - the nail polish was obviously thickening and drying out. My technician was working hard to do this my right, but it's hard with chunky polish. Small and old polish selection.My friend got an outstanding pedicure. My technician on the other hand, tried to polish my toes even though there was very little polish left in the bottle. The polish ended up looking gross and streaky. She whacked my toes with a pair paper flip flops she was trying to dry them with. She proceeded to re-polish them in the same streaky manner. This was my first time EVER getting my nails done! I got a simple glittery red gel (#75) manicure done by Tammy for NYE. She is sweet and really great at what she does.
