Got my nails done by Kate 5/14/18. First time at this salon and I was a walk in. I stated that I had worn Acrylic nails for about 3 years and wanted a break. Kate removed Acrylic without any pain what so ever! My nails were weaker but still pretty healthy underneath. She simply applied my favorite nail color and I'm TOTALLY happy. I went there to get the gel manicure.  I was not impressed by the result, it wasn't the way I expected, but I could live with it for a week or two. Ended up lasting for 10 days and I decided to remove it. It was my first time getting gel manicure so, I was clueless how to remove it. And I was told it was free to remove (included in the price). Since I didn't want to do it again I just went back to remove it. The technician who did my nails 10 days ago was friendly, but the one who removed it today, I was afraid she was going to scream at me, hurt me or something.  She was rude, unprofessional,  and barley talked to me. Honestly she barley spoke English, anyways I am also a foreigner no problems with that. But she should be more gentle and professional. When she finished I assumed it was it, no payment necessary I got up and left. She came outside screaming and mad at me saying it was $10. When I asked why, because I was told by the other technician it was free she could not explain. Then the one who actually did my nail took the time to explain it's only free if you do it again. Oh well, I did not loved it at first now I'll never get back there.  I paid the $10 which is not a problem, but definately too much money for such a bad experience and they for sure will never see me again. Nice customer service and they did a good job on my pedicure. Nails, an absolute NO. I went twice. The first time I asked to get the hard gel service instead of the acrylic overlay. They said ok and gave me a price that matches that type of service. However once it was time to get that done they were clueless. So I ended up getting an acrylic overlay. My nails were shaped terribly! They were over buffed to the point they were going different ways. She filed way to much to the point my fingers were soar. I made the decision of coming back hoping that someone else could fix my nail and praying this shop wasn't that bad. Nope. She was able to correct my nail shape but now she did not know how to paint nails‍. I tried to tell her several times it's messy and I need the sides cleaned up. Do me a favor and please don't go to this nail shop, I can't really speak on there nail work. But they are very unprofessional and rude. The lady that does the eyelashes is very unprofessional and she got all the glue in my eye it was burning for like 2 hours. I came to get my lashes done and she rips my hat off my head and then get's glue in my eye, dosen't even apologize. The eyelashes don't even laugh a week. Then, I went to sit down next to a fan for them to dry off and another lady that works there stares at me, I asked ''whats the problem?'', and she get's an attitude and says ''why you sitting here? get up'', worst service ever. This place was absolutely terrible. I went here twice and both times my experience was horrible. The first time she cut my skin so many times and it even bled. Also the service is terrible and they randomly get up in the middle of doing your nails to deal with others. I only came to this place a second time because I always like to check a place out twice before I make a final decision just in case I went in on a bad day the first time. The second time I was here, I waited for so long and they even took in customers that came after me. Again the lady cut me so many times even though I kindly reminded her to be careful. When I came back from washing my hands, my nails were not even straight so I myself asked her for the nail file to make them even. I told her that she cut me again and she said "well did your skin bleed? No!" And I told her that the first time I came it did bleed and she said "I am talking about today. There's no blood." So my skin has to bleed for it to hurt?! And then she laughed. They also accept people when they don't have enough staff and are close to closing time and then you end up waiting for a long time. First time here and I was definitely a little hesitant due to many negative reviews not only on here but Google, but decided to give it a try anyways and was pleasantly surprised! It was definitely busy, but I came on a Saturday afternoon, that's expected. I only wanted a pedicure and was seated right away after selecting my color. There was a little bit of a wait, but there were multiple people ahead of me, and staff kept on checking on me to make sure I was okay. I enjoyed the service and was well taken care of. Where do I start? There was a long wait, it was almost as if they didn't want the business. Then, the guy who was my nail tech had halitosis. It was horrible. Additionally, I was pressured into withdrawing cash from their onsite ATM, and was reassured there was no fee, yet, I just checked my statement and sure enough, they charged me $2.50. Horrible experience, I was there for over 2 hours. I got a pedicure and gel manicure, I gave this place a shot because it is located next to my job. My nails looks so unprofessional and have cuts all around the cuticles, they had no ointment and couldn't stop the bleeding on one of the nails. The job was overall sloppy. Read Less

I tried to give this place a 2nd chance. I was asked to sit down at a dirty spa pedicure chair. The bowl had obvious residue and dirty water lines around it. I asked for a clean one. He clipped all my toenails so short that they hurt. He started cutting the side of my big toe to get a hand nail and clipped into my skin. At that point, I said enough and got up to leave. I tried to give this place a 2nd chance and it ended up worse than the first time. The first time the technicians had a fight over who would be my technician, it was uncomfortable and inappropriate. Then the woman cut my foot because she was scrubbing so hard. Today I thought maybe it was just a bad day, but it was consistently terrible. I sat with my feet in cold water waiting for 45 minutes, when I asked they just kept telling me it would be soon. When I finally did get a technician she kept getting up and disappearing to do other things. I have been sitting in the pedicure chair for 2 solid hours and my nails aren't even polished yet. People have come in, waited, and left, while I am still sitting here. I have asked again while technician went to give someone an eyebrow wax and got the same message, soon. I was going to get a manicure also but that is clearly out of the question now, I don't have enough time, and my patience have run out. I won't be returning. Ever. Read Less

Mother's Day Weekend and my first time at this salon. We were placed in the chair for our pedicures within 15 minutes but then waited almost an hour and a half for service to start. The basic pedicure is a little pricy but the service once they get started is good. This is another establishment that seems poorly managed. It is huge with very few workers. I really liked this place last year when it opened. They did a good job and it lasted nearly a month. That's the only reason for three stars. The two times I've been in the last month have been disappointing. Cold water, they manhandled my feet, cut to close on the cuticles and actually hurt me. I've never had that happen. When I went today I had to wait in water that got progressively colder for more than 30 minutes. I really wish it was better I live close & it's convenient. But I'll try Route 40 next time. This is the worst nail salon experience I ever had. Do Not Pay For Service Here! I waited for 30 minutes in cold water for a pedicure. My cousin waited for 20 minutes. She asked for her water to be hotter and they burned her with a hot towel she said it was too hot. The tech called her spoiled and said she acts like a little baby! Disrespectful. I asked if she could help with my water I was still waiting for a tech and she rudely said I could wait. My tech cut 4 of my cuticles then sprayed them with alcohol and it burned badly. I've been going to Halo Day Spa but since this is closer to me, I thought I would give it a try. This salon is overpriced for mediocre manicures and pedicures. Not a very large selection of polishes. The person taking care of my pedicure kept getting up to help other customers. Also, you cannot tip if you pay with a credit card. I had called before I arrived to specifically find out if that was the case. The woman who answered the phone said yes, you can tip on your credit card. When I checked out, the man told me know I couldn't. I think he could tell I was annoyed so he let me tip on the card. I have no desire to come back here. Read Less

Was my first visit here and I had made a reservation for a friend and I for a manicure/pedicure.  they seemed pretty attentive to our needs and asked multiple times during the appointment if everything was OK regarding the water temperature or the hot towels that they were using to make sure that they weren't too hot.  Very happy with my manicure and pedicure for the price and will definitely be back. I seen and a few other reviews they do have bottles of wine and alcohol but didn't bother me one bit that I wasn't offered anything. Never again.  Dirty and unprofessional.  I had to ask to be served wine, it was never offered and once I received it it was in a dirt cup with particles floating in it.  The tools were not sterilized and the tech left me sitting there for 15 min while she chatted at the front desk in the middle of my service.  After all was said and done she over charged me. I have been there three times now and I am always either the only customer or one of two.  I'm hoping it's because folks have caught on that this place is trash.  Don't waste your time or money.  If you have to resort to overcharging because your business is slow then you may want to consider closing all together.  This place is gross. Today I went over to the Village Nail Bar. Their website states that they open at 9:30 am, so I waited. The same information is also listed on the front door as well, that they open at 9:30 Mon-Fri. 9:35, came and went along with 9:40 and 9:45. I then decided to leave, after calling and getting no answer. I later called at 10:30 am after waiting for the phone to ring numerous times I was about to hang up, then someone answered the phone. When I asked what time they open she replied now. I informed the woman that I came at 9:30 AND NO ONE WAS THERE. I also started to her that if they are going to change their times, then it needs to be noted on their website and store front. YOU JUST LOST A CUSTOMER. I came here for a pedicure I got a cut on the heel of my foot bc when he was rinsing the cuticle gel off the water temperature went  extremely hot and my natural reflex pulled my foot back. Horrible gash on the heel of my foot and it hurts so badly. I was also getting a hot stone massage maybe this is his first time bc he tossed the stone back and forth never consistently "massaging with the hot stone." This place is definitely expensive for the service they provide.  I tried twice just to check if it is the nail technician that is not performing up to standards.  Overall I did not enjoy the experience.  One of the nail technicians actually charges five dollars extra for removing dead skin from your feet.  I have never been charged extra for what should be included in a pedicure.  It is a new and clean place but the people who work there give me the impression that they should not be in hospitality business.  One of them asked me how much do I pay for rent?  In my opinion that is not very professional.  Pedicure took forever and the end result was not impressive.  I am definitely not going back. It is a nice establishment with lots of stations and pedi chairs. I visited in the early evening of a week night as the first time visitor. There was only one other customer during my visit.The nail technician was friendly. She gave me a menu with a list of services for the pedi. All I wanted was a buff and shine at $25. She convinced me to take the $35 deal so she could remove the dead skin.The nail technician's technical skill was lacking.  I wanted a simple pedi with buff and shine. I received the following:- The nails were cut straight across (with uneven flat on the top instead of a curve following the natural nail shape). She never clean under my nails. There is still dead skin and black dirt under my nails.- The nails were cut too short. - She did not file the nails. They were simply cut by the nail clips with no filing.- The excess skin around the cuticles was not cleaned well.- She made an effort massaging my feet with up and down motion. It's not like the licensed massage therapist who knows reflexology, or at least massage mindfully.- My nails were not buffed and were not shiny when I left the place.  She did not even attempt to buff them.  I am not fond of the list of pedi menu.  It's way too complicated.  There are many scents for the foot scrub.  Even though I ask for scent free products, I still receive a scrub with a terrible lemon scent.  I would have done a much better job myself.  I thought that I would pamper myself with a basic pedi. Worst experience I have ever had. I came in for a mani, pedi, and eyebrow waxing. They said no problem, took me to the pedi chair, and had me wait with my feet in the water for 45 minutes. They had me wait for so long that the chair leaked and my shoes, purse, and socks were SOAKING wet. I will never come back here. Not a fan, really. There were maybe 6 people working and they were waiting on 6 people and 4-5 of us walked in. I sat for about 30 minutes, then they put me in a chair and let my feet soak...and soak...and soak. Must have been 30 minutes. They offered me a glass of wine when I was seated, but they poured some of the mixers they have on the back wall instead: no wine is neon yellow and tastes like lime. So don't bother with the "wine".  So yeah, my feet were getting pruney. When the next person became available (a guy) he looked over at me and acted like he didn't want to wait on me. He went in the back for about 10 minutes and then came over. He looked at my feet like they were diseased. They did look a little calloused, but come on: they weren't dinosaur feet or anything. Even the way he handled my feet was in an "ooh, gross," way. I started telling myself some stories of why he was having such a problem with me. He tried to upsell me to remove my callouses, but I'm a runner and I need them. He did a good job with the polish. The lotion they use is very cheap: my feet looked dry by the time I walked out. I was still polite to him even though he was an ass. Overall, it took like an hour and a half to two hours to get a basic pedicure. It's convenient to where I live, but seriously...2 hours? Plus a stank attitude? I'll pass. This is a last resort kind of place. I'd rather drive to route 40 and go to Blue Ocean, where you won't wait for half an hour and they have actual wine.
