Hi. I give this place a 3 because the guy Kevin did my nails. He took me late in the evening and was nice to me. But , he offered to reshape my Nails into coffin shape and then charged me for it without telling me. Basically I got a full set acrylic with a gel color and coffin shaped(I asked for square) and I paid $60. I will not be returning and would not recommend anyone to go. Read Less

Just want to give a shout out to my nail tech, Tracy, over at River Hill Nails & Spa!!! She is so great at what she does, carries herself with such professionalism and always has a customer first attitude! I’m not the easiest customer to have because I’m very particular with my nails, being as though they’re my natural nails, but she always fulfills my requests, comments, etc. I know that when I go there, I’ll always walk out a happy customer and if I don’t like something she finds a way to fix it so I like it! Everyone is friendly and I have been so impressed with their customer service, and my nails have never looked better!! I absolutely love River Hill Nails & Spa!!! Every time I come in everyone says hello and is super friendly! Amy has been doing my nails and pedicures for about 4 years now! She does a great job--which is why I keep coming back every 2-3 weeks!! I am super picky with my nails and she never complains and does them EXACTLY how I like them every single time!! Terrible manicure. I was in a rush so I got the $15 regular manicure. I picked out the color sat down told the cosmetologist that I wanted my nails trimmed short and rounded. She got the shape relatively well but was very haphazard about my cuticles; to the point where they will certainly turn into hangnails in 2 days. The hot towel was a nice touch after the lotion. But then she asked me to pay so I wouldn't have to reach into my bag and asked for a tip amount that I shouldn't have given until she finished. She applied the nail polish very slowly so I assumed it would look much better than it does. About 5 min after applying the top coat she said that it was dry and that I could go. It was most definitely not dry and some of that impatience I will fault myself for- but she's the professional. In addition to it being smudged in places right after I left, you can also tell where the first and second coat of the color differ. She didn't talk at all during the service despite my attempts to engage. Awful experience. Would not return or recommend. Cannot believe she's a licensed cosmetologist (though she is, the license lives under her table). Read Less

I came here needing help. For my wedding the previous weekend, I had got fake (gel) nails put on, and it was a first for me. It looked beautiful but was hardly functional due to the length (which really wasn't *that* long). I just wanted them removed and Amy was so kind and patient to help me. She soaked my nails, buffed them, soaked again, and repeated this process at least 3 times. Then she gave me a normal gel manicure with nice short nails and I am a happy girl again! Thank you Amy! For the duration of my FIRST visit she was kind and truly tried to satisfy my request. I still gave her my gratitude upon leaving, but made it known that I was dis-satisfied. Due to my time constraints with other priorities it was not in my best interest to stay as I was already dis-satis...fied. I want to personally thank Sandy for her NOT so pleasant voicemail that was left today for my review after my private message that was sent to your FB. While Sandy's ambiguity may be a great experience often at your salon, my experience was NOT so pleasant for me. Since we find it easy to lapse our character and slander someone you do not know personally I find it highly disrespectful and reflection of your customers and professionalism with your daily operations having a customer contact me. By, management personally NOT acknowledging this minor issue privately I am appalled for multiple classless reasons. It is extremely inappropriate that you had a CUSTOMER reach out to me directly when I solicit you an opportunity to rectify the situation via a private message and you made my private information public to an untasteful irrational customer. I hope that in the event you have another dis-satisfied customer that the management is properly trained to handle the situation in a more professional manner. As an executive in the corporate industry; you may want to change the current protocol you have in place. It clearly is not working. I have been here more than a dozen times, just about every three weeks for about a year now and to this day, I have always had an amazing experience. I've never been serviced by a salon that takes more pride in their customer service. At first I did acrylic and now my nails are strong enough for just gel manicures. The pedicures are awesome and I even get my brows done. I've been serviced by Lara and Kelly to Hannah, Jenny, Linda and Amy. Really enjoy this nail salon! Everything is clean and I've had excellent service every time I've gone. This location is near my parents' home, so I always go with my mom. They make a point of making sure we can sit next to each other and try to have everything done around the same time. My mom has had a few manicures she wasn't absolutely thrilled with, but nothing notably wrong, and I think it may depend on the person. So far we haven't had any issues and we've always enjoyed our experience!Gel manicures are about $35 and classic pedicures are $28. Initially I loved this salon as it was clean, relaxing and the staff were professional. After a few months of opening, they became pushy in trying to upsell services. This becomes uncomfortable and detracts from the experience so I stopped going. In addition, they nickel and dime you on their services - charging extra to file down your nails!
