Very pretty nail salon and close to my house, however, the service was subpar. I got a pedicure and by the time I sat down in the chair until the time I was done was 20 minutes. She barely used the pumice bar on my feet and massages each leg for probably under a minute. She didn’t try to hold conversation and as soon as she was done she asked for payment and never checked back up on me. I’d rather drive somewhere further from my house and get better service. Not a happy customer! Went to get my eyebrows waxed for Christmas and the lady who did them was very impatient and very ruff and didn't even do them correctly . I ended up taking the plucker from her hand to do them myself. I am never going to do my eye brows there again Read Less

Great local place for manis/pedis that is clean and relatively friendly. Only negative is they can't always accommodate walk-ins so I always call in advance. So far I have been twice and the nail polish for my pedis lasts for weeks! Reasonably priced as well! Read Less

I've been coming here for so long just because of convenience but the attitudes of the staff/overall quality of the service has gone very downhill recently. The nail techs will try to talk you into the most expensive services, despite your budget or age, and fail to mention extra charges beforehand (ex. extra charge for cutting nails down). With the exception of a couple very nice employees (can't remember names), the majority of the staff are unfriendly and are only concerned with moving onto the next customer as quickly as possible. I have gotten my eyebrows waxed here before and each time my requests were dismissed by the staff and I ended up with uneven/too thin eyebrows. The quality of acrylics is very poor; nearly every time I get them done here there are multiple chips/dents within a day or two, and it is not unusual for an entire nail to break in half or fall off after less than 2 weeks. During my last visit here, I informed my nail tech that almost every one of my nails had noticeable flaws/damage and she offered no solution, said that the owner wouldn't approve of a discount because I "waited too long to come in", then proceeded to suggest I try a more expensive option than I usually get, because they "work on commission". During my appointment, a walk-in came in for a pedicure. My nail tech told the manager she could take her in 10 mins. Upon finishing my nails about 15 mins later, she was yelled at in front of customers by the owner for "making the walk-in wait too long", despite the fact that she rushed through my appt. to fit her in. Avoid this place.   Have tried them a few times and my daughters also tried them.  All have had a bad experience.   Staff has a major attitude and acts like they are doing you a favor by doing your nails.   The owner is smug.   Most recently they did a poor job on my daughters pedicure.   Won't be going back.   Will wait until Deja Vu II has an available appointment.   This place is not worth your time or money when there are much better options available. See Dee. If you don't see Dee, or the owner, Christina, it's a 2 star salon. I've been coming here for years, and recently had to see a different tech. Now, I've been having my nails done for 17 years. Every two weeks. 7 of these years have been gel, the first ten acrylic. I've had two of my five worst manicures ever done here. The last time, my nails hurt and then peeled off starting at 5 days. Not ok for a $50 manicure. I don't pick at my nails, and the only time they've ever done that after a dee manicure were the rare times there were longer than two weeks between appointments. 2 stars only for location and convenience. Overpriced gel manicure chips after 4 days on a regular basis. Recently had gel manicure and pedicure. Nail chipped same day after receiving rush job by shop owner. Keep in mind I had an appointment for service. Went back right before closing to have fixed. Was told they were about to close and could not be accommodated until next day which was Father's day. I had plans and could not wait. Those of you who get gel manicure's know that one day of chipped gel could be damaging to natural nail. Luckly was able to reach owner at Germantown who reluctantly called Clarksburg to ask that my nail be fixed. Nail was fixed but as regular customer who had just spent$150 (my daughter's had appointments earlier that day too) I should have been provided better customer service. Horrible. Have two attempts because I am new to the neighborhood and it would be convenient. First time got a half ass "spa pedicure". And second time got a simple manicure that was clearly not so simple for the nail tech who couldn't seem to stay in the lines after two tries painting my finger nails. Got a fill & gel polish. The polish which is supposed to last two weeks at least didn't even last 24 hours.  The manager refused to give me a refund but wanted to file my nails OFF just for me to get back my money for ONLY THE GEL POLISH. This is a good nail salon to go to when you really want to feel pampered. It just has such a spa-like feel to it. Not to mention that they offer wine  The staff are all friendly too. My only complaints are 1) on a few occasions they have not been able to take me as a walk-in 2) for some reason when I get my gel nails done here they seem to chip quicker than when I go to other places. Took my rising college senior for a spa pedicure and gel manicure. Les than 6 days later, the polish from pedicure already chipped and full of air bubbles; gel manicure, fading off of the nails. August 31 - entire side of thumb absent of any gel manicure. Gel manicure is supposed to last 2 weeks, or so they say. This spa is supposed to offer beverages - wine, water, etc. No offer was made to my daughter. I had thought there was a charge, asked upon paying, and was told I was to 'reserve' her a drink prior to the appointment. Contacted salon manager to inquire about the gel manicure. Was told my daughter could come in; and for $4 per nail, they would fix the gel manicure. I think not! Daughter is long gone, already at college. Cost of both items was $63 before their 5% cash discount. Not enough people working there, women working spend whatever time they can on their phones, and they do not even attempt to engage in conversation, preferring to converse among themselves in their own language. Sorry I ever spent my time or my hard-earned money at this salon. Was flabbergasted that the manager was not even willing to offer a partial refund in the form of a gift certificate for my daughter to use the next time she is home from college. I came here because Deja Vu didn't have any apts available.  I should have waited.  I got a full set with gel polish- worst ever.  The gentleman was not very nice, at all.  He did a terrible job.  1/2 of my nails have already fallen off after 2 weeks when they last 4 weeks from Deja Vu.  The gel selection is very minimal and the girl running the show walked around the whole time on the phone talking about how she didn't have time for a break but she was taking one anyway.  I would not recommend going here. I only went to this place because it's open on Sunday's. Mistake. This place was awful. There's zero customer service. My woman did not speak a word to me the entire mani pedi. When I asked her to file my nails a little shorter she just ignored me. She would stop to text every 10 minutes which is frustrating when I've already spend 2 hours there. My nails were cut uneven and TWO of the nails broke off ONE DAY later. When I went back they said they had no time that WEEK to fix it. I've had both good and bad experiences at this salon. But I firmly believe that in this case, the bad outweighs the good.GOOD - I'm not sure if I'm spelling her name right but THAI is great. I also like DEE a lot, but it is annoying how she's constantly talking on the phone with her friends. The atmosphere in the salon is relaxing. BAD - My first time going to Passion Nails was HORRIBLE. I got a regular manicure, because I'm only 16 and it's all I could afford. By the way, this salon is way over priced for the quality you're getting. Anyway, the nail tech, whose name I don't remember (because none of them ever introduce themselves) asked me if I would be getting my eyebrows done today. Fine question. But when I said no, she got very annoyed, looked my face up and down, and  said, "You need to." I don't care how badly you want my money, I am your customer. Do not insult me! The only reason I returned to the salon after that experience is because my mom (a regular at this salon) assured me that if I saw Thai, I would love it. Well, last week I tried to make an appointment with Thai but she was on vacation. My mom told me to see anyone but TIFFANY because her work wasn't any good. I booked an appointment with CHRISTIE for a full set of acrylics and a pedicure. First, I got the pedicure. I was relaxed, taking full advantage of the massage chair. My one complaint at the time would be that instead of actually talking to me when it was time for me to give her my other foot, she would just push the current foot back into the water. Seriously? You can't speak to your client instead of being so forceful? My manicure went smoothly and I was very happy with the results. Although I assured my mom that one of the acrylics was crooked, she told me I was just over thinking. I would have believed her had I not experienced what I did over the past few days. Christie gave me a pedicure. So tell me why I have an excruciatingly painful ingrown toenail not even a week later? When I first got home from the salon I thought that maybe my toe was cut a little weird, but again decided it was me over thinking. I was right though, and now have to deal with this. The whole reason I'm writing this review (it is 4am) is because I was woken up by the pain in my toe. I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone. I used to be a fan, but I'm breaking up with this salon. I've had not so great service over the past six months that I find to just not be acceptable. I will do my best to explain the issues and be fair by mentioning the good.The Bad: *They take walk-ins, but typically you have to wait 30 mins/hour/hours. *You avoid this by making an appointment, then they notoriously don't take you on time.*Nails are not filed right, ripples left on top of painted nails, no clean up around nails. (2x over the past month, by two different techs)*Some folks are offered drinks, I'm a part of the never been asked if I want a drink group.*They use old nail polish, they add thinner or something and just put it in the shaker. Seen it. It makes the color not saturated on your nails, creating a washed out effect after nails dry.*No receptionist...one tech answers the phone while doing pedicures then another one also doing either a mani/pedi helps the walk ins. One has the appointment book, the other doesn't. I'm not going to detail this process out, but it is chaotic and not okay for the customers just wanting to sit and relax.*The lighting in the waxing chair is never turned on, I'm having to always go under a light in the bathroom to see if my brows are clean...guess what, they are not and I have to ask the tech to go back and clean up an area. If I can't tell my brows are good with the mirror under that poor lighting while in the chair...no way the person waxing can.The Good: *I feel that 80% of the techs are very nice, I like them very much despite the above. *Pricing is reasonable.*Salon is pretty and music and decorating is good.*Great location.I think this place is just poorly run, they need to hire more folks or at least a receptionist. The people are nice, the bad nail jobs I've had in the past few months I feel is due to techs trying to rush to get to the folks who have been waiting. Improvements to the waxing area and making sure to replace nail polish would go a long way. Also, how about offering all a drink when they come in? Such a nice thing and it goes a long way. So..let's start of saying how amazing and accommodating they are!  I, of course forgot to make an appointment. Then of course I'm in a hurry rushing for a dinner event. I called and talked to Christina, the Germantown location was FULL (as always) till later in the afternoon but then she offered to squeeze me in at this location and with no hesitation I said yes and flew there right away. When I got there I was greeted right away, being a complete indecisive person with thousands of Pinterest ideas; I couldn't come up with what color I wanted but Christina had great patience for me ( and at the same time the line at the door grew longer) but she didn't rush me one bit. She ended choosing this amazing fall color for me. I was in and out with a gel mani in 30 min. I love this place and will never go anywhere else in the area ! Read Less

So I have been to this place several times now.  Like any other salon, your happiness with the service can depend on the manicurist you get, so I understand the variety in reviews.  My first time here was with a group of friends and my mani was horrible.  I get gel because it lasts longer, but Tiffany put it on so thick on the edges my nails felt square, and I don't mean the shape of the tip - I mean rubbing my finger over the top of my nail I felt a ridge at the side like a freaking square.  It was horrible!  The only reason I went back is because everyone else had a better experience and their nails looked much nicer.  Plus, the gel was on so thick I couldn't get the crap off myself!  After reading some reviews I decided to ask for Dee when I went back, and I have been with her ever since.  I see some people complaining about her and to each their own, but I go there because of her.  I personally love that she will hold a conversation with me.  She has a big personality and a fun sense of humor.  It makes the experience more enjoyable for me.  She takes her time and always does an excellent job.  She is meticulous and always makes sure the nail is covered and smooth.  I go once a month and my nails never chip or crack like they have at other salons.  Dee also does great designs.  She switches it up every time.  I usually tell someone what I want, but with Dee I just let her do her thing and I have never been disappointed.  I also love that they have a big selection of the color changing polish.  The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are so dang expensive.  Of course, I get gel and designs so it's never going to be cheap, but other places will do it for a good 20 bucks less.  That being said, I still come here every time because the quality, conversation and atmosphere makes it worth while.  They also give a discount if you pay in cash which is nice, and with an atm right across the street I always opt for that. I've been intending to write a review for this nail salon long ago but decided to keep it short and sweet so here goes. I am convinced that Dee writes her own reviews sdon't believe the hype. First visit my sister and I came I went to Tiffany for a full set and my sister went to the gentleman towards the front my nails were nice and hers had to be corrected at another salon when we returned from vacation. Second visit I came alone and decided to book with Dee based off of the reviews... MAJOR FAIL! She's loud and in my opinion jokes too much while servicing clients and a little "hood". The pedicure was the worst. She cut my big toe too short, which I told her and she said it was because of my nails BS. My manicure was a waste I had to go home to shape them myself because after asking her to shape my nails even was a waste of my breath. My eyebrow and lip wax was nice by Tiffany hate that I didn't book with her in the first place. Every other appointment I scheduled was with Tiffany. She's sweet, personable, doesn't talk to much and is a 5 across the board. I didn't rate this salon a 5 because I had to account for the service by others.
