Yelp - please implement a 0 star rating!  It was a horrible experience.  Settle in for this one.  I live and work near Bethesda.  I usually go to L'Avee Nail Spa at lunchtime, and I like it.  My 8 year old daughter wanted to have a pedi with me.  I was excited to see Sandy Nails had chairs for kids, and it was highly rated.My daughter was ridiculously excited for her first pedi with mommy!  We arrived and were essentially ordered to the back of the store.  The chairs for kids were cute.First, her pedi.  They dipped her foot in water without having them soak or use the foot bath/ Jacuzzi foot feature, pulled her feet out, quickly cut her toenails and painted.  It would have been less than 10 minutes, but she was looking forward to the foot massage because I had been saying that is the best part of the pedi.  They barked at me that the massage is a dollar a minute.  I said fine, do five minutes. Meanwhile my daughter is watching everything they're doing for me and disappointed they weren't doing the same for her.  Oh and to keep her toes apart, she tore off a piece of paper towel that was dirty (had other nail polish colors on it) and weaved it around her toes.  Now to my pedi.  Also rushed.  This was a first - my foot was dipped into hot water, pulled out immediately, and the scrubbing of my heels began.  I have never had my heels exfoliated BEFORE my feet had soaked.  Water was drained almost immediately. Toenails were cut and filed so poorly that they were jagged. I had to file again at home.  We both ended up with a lot of nail polish on our skin.  And I'm sitting here with gross, rough heels.  From the other reviews I've read - Mindy strikes again.  She was awful. Ditto for the front desk staff and the woman who did my daughter's nails.It was very pricey for the little service we got.  I'm disappointed and disgusted. Read Less

Went here for the first time today and it was great! I seen Amanda for my full set of acrylic nails, and my mom seen Lin for her manicure. What a treat thanks to my boyfriend!! Both ladies were sweet and very friendly and the salon is very clean with modern decor. I will definitely go back! Read Less

Very clean and they have a great selection for no chip and they have matching polish for your pedicure. There is not too many places with this type of selection. They also time your pedicures so you enjoy the full experience and not rushed. Read Less

I just went here for the first time today. I loved it! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the staff as a whole does not know the entire menu of products and prices. I myself asked a question, and I also heard a few others ask questions and the staff had to ask a few other employees before giving the answers. It came across as unorganized in the beginning, but the end result of my no-chip and toe polish change was lovely. I will definitely come back! Read Less

Sandy Nails is the finest nail salons that I have ever been to. Regardless of the service I receive I have never been disappointed. People that work there are really nice but the quality of the job is very low. I got a no chip manicure on New Years Eve and it only lasted for 24 hours. Never had that happened in any other place before. I had a pedicure there a while ago and that didn't last either but I am so upset about my manicure. I went to get a pedicure and no chip, Amy did my pedicure which looked like a kid painted my toes all smeared on my toes and extremely rough while massaging my calves. She then did my no chip on my fingers and cut two of my fingers while removing the skin from my cuticles, I told her your in such a rush and you keep cutting me she looks at me wth a dead stare and 10 seconds later "I'm sorry I'm sorry" she was in such a rush. She would take my hand out from under the light after 10 seconds my nails had that tacky feeling and it didn't even look right. I complained to the manager and needless to say the manager had to redo a job that her nail technician did horribly. Read Less

Love this spot, i live not to far from here and walk by all the time and decide to call and make an appointment, i came in here right before 1pm it was nice and quite. The seats are very comfortable and clean. I showed the girl did my nails a design on my phone and she did it fabulous! Exceeded my expectation! Highly recommend! Read Less

This will be my new spot! Trans nails is clean beautiful and they have tons of colors to pick from. There are also tons of chairs I doubt you will ever have to wait! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would highly suggest this place to anyone looking for a new nail salon! Read Less
