Great nail salon! I've been many times. It seems clean and the staff are very accommodating and helpful. The color I picked wasn't as dark as I expected so my manicurist quickly cleaned off the first two nails she had done and picked out three different polishes to choose from that she thought I might like better. Nancy does an AMAZING job with my eyebrows! I discovered her when I lived in Bethesda back in 2015 and even though I now live in NoVa, I still make my monthly/bi-monthly pilgrimage back to see her. She's that worth it! She and her son, Hai, are true professionals and sincerely care about their customers. I remember one time, Hai gave me a pedicure that lasted 4 entire weeks! I made an appointment at Nail Studio after reading the great reviews on Yelp. The salon wasn't busy during the hour I spent there from 4-5pm last Friday. I counted seven customers. Business was slow enough for one staff member to relax in the pedicure massage chair. Another staff member peered over my technician's shoulder as she polished my nails. Perhaps she was an apprentice trying to improve her skills, but I found the extra attention a bit strange.The salon offers a wide range of colors from OPI, Essie, and some other brands I wasn't as familiar with. I liked that the colors were displayed on a plastic nail display wheel so that I could see the true polish colors without trying them out on my own nails. I chose "Don't Bossa Nova Me Around" for my gel color and Kim expertly polished my nails, taking her time to make sure the polish was even.My gel manicure turned out great and is still holding up well a week after my visit. The $35 charge was $10 more than I normally pay at my regular salon in DC, but the price is within the typical price range for a gel manicure.I wish this place offered you bottled water or other refreshments during your visit. That would have definitely been a plus.I'm glad I tried a new salon. It's nice to know this is an option if I'm ever in Bethesda again and in need of a manicure. Read Less

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I've been here several times and only once were my nails NOT messed up. The last straw was today. I went in YESTERDAY to let the lady who did my nails LESS THAN A WEEK AGO know my nails were cracked and about to break. She told me I was wrong put some glue on them and sent me on my way. That night two of my nails broke. I came back today after making an appointment. I was roughly 10 minutes late due to traffic and they'd already given my spot to somebody else. Not only that but I was made to wait 15 minutes just to be told that I would have to pay for them to fix my nails. I have never had this problem when getting my nails done. They've never broken this soon. The lady told me that they broke because they were so long. That would make sense if I hadn't had my nails this long for 7 years and never had this problem with cracking or breakage. I was also told that because this was the third time I had come in to get them fixed(mind you the first time was because they royally screwed up the design) that I had to pay. I'm sorry but I'm certainly not going to pay extra because you didn't do the job right the first time. My nails broke not because they are long but because there wasn't enough acrylic on my nail in the first place. I am taking my business elsewhere because y'all are incredibly unprofessional. I walked in on a whim, because I read good reviews for this place. No one acknowledged me, although several people saw me standing at the front desk. I stood there for quite some time, even sat down for several minutes....nothing, not even a "hello." I finally just walked out. I guess they do not want my regular bi-weekly business. Read Less
