I went to Garegin to have my hair cut and colored and he did an amazing job! He is so nice and truly an amazing artist. Ms Roa gave me a wonderful manicure and the paraffin dip was a nice added bonus. Although, I enjoyed the services, I will not be back because the policies of this establishment are opaque and inconvenient. When I made the appointment for services, I was not informed that - unlike every other spa in the metro DC area - this one does not permit for the addition of a tip to the method of payment - unless you have enough cash. It was not until checkout that I was informed that I needed cash or a check (who on earth carries checks around anymore?!). I was then informed that I could go to a cash machine to get money (which would of course charge me an exorbitant fee both coming and going). This is both embarrassing and frustrating. I used to go to another waxing place close by, but they weren't doing a great job and it was very expensive, not to mention even when booking an appointment a week in advance they rarely had more than a few times available. Bethesda Salon was very friendly and professional when I called and had plenty of time slots available even for an appointment made just two days in advance. The salon and waxing room are both clean and organized, and the ladies that work there are so sweet! I went in for a Brazilian and it only took 10 minutes! My waxer was super nice and did an awesome job, and she actually gave me some great maintenance tips and seemed to know a lot more about skincare and waxing than the people at my last place (which exclusively did waxing). It cost me half the price I'd been paying before, it took half the time, and the results were more than worth it. Will definitely be returning soon! Read Less

I started going here years ago after winning a gift certificate at a school fundraising auction and have been going back ever since. The staff is friendly and efficient. Unlike other some other salons, they do not charge extra for removing gel manicures, so you will never be surprised by added charges. I have never had a problem with them removing my old gel manicures and always leave with a professional-quality job that lasts me two weeks. They have wonderful massage chairs for the pedicure process that leave you relaxed and comfortable. And they are very good about scheduling appointments, even at the last minute. It's one of places my daughter and I consider our favorites for a ladies' day out.Read Less

DO NOT GO FOR A MASSAGE IF YOU WANT TO RELAX, Natalie is great but the place in noisy and one does not feel relaxing. To compensate with the noise the volume of music was loud and I could still hear drilling and footsteps above me. I was also very upset that the treatment descriptions online are misleading. Read Less
