I've been coming to this salon for a number of years.  It's a very clean place and the atmosphere is very cozy, quiet and beautifully decorated. Virtually everyone is friendly and accommodating, even if/when they are swamped and/or dealing with demanding or impatient customers.  The price is right, and the manicure/pedicures are never less then pretty good,and often times great. Hands down, this place has the WORST SERVICE I have ever experienced!!! Today, I went in to get a gift card for a manicure and a pedicure for my girlfriend. The woman in line in front of me wasn't booked for the right time, so the receptionist at the time (her name is Na) had to rewrite in all of the appointments on the calendar because they were all screwed up. It was then my turn, but a woman from outside came in and just cut in line in front of me. Na just went ahead and helped her and did nothing to assist me. The woman, now in front of me, wanted to pay up front, but Na yelled at her saying she couldn't do that. The woman then went back with someone. Na then completely ignored me, penciling in whatever she was doing, so I waited patiently. Then all of a sudden, another woman from inside the shop came up and cut in front of me! I'm 1 foot away from the front desk- Na knows I'm waiting, but helps this woman for 5 more minutes anyway! I've now been there for 15 minutes waiting for unacceptable reasons. I can't even remember what this lady wanted because I was so livid, but when it finally came my turn, Na STILL ignored me!! I finally said, "Excuse me. Am I going to be helped?!" and she ignored the question, and had someone else take over for her. I was so close to not buying the gift card. I ONLY bought it because I didn't feel like driving to another place to get another one. I felt like she kept ignoring me because I was a guy and not a woman; women are there to pay the big bucks at beauty shops, but guys could be there for any number of reasons. I live in NY and visit family in Bethesda. I make sure to visit Acqua Nails every time I'm there. I love the work that they do -- it lasts twice as long as other mani-pedis that I get, and they are absolutely up to date and well-trained re: nail health and technology. Read Less
