Me and my friend went there and had a TERRIBLE experience. Both of us, not just 1. The lady who did mine was very rude and watched YouTube videos the whole time while doing my nails. When I went to go pay the board said 20 for an acrylic gel fill and when I went to pay they said it was 30, when I questioned it they told me their board was wrong and I told them maybe they should update it. Pretty sure they were just trying to rip me off. Then as my friend was getting her nails done the guy kept cutting her even when she said ouch several times and also over charged her. I have been to this nail salon many times. Of the salons I've visited, this is my favorite. It is a small, family run business. The workers are always helpful and accommodating. It can get busy, so I suggest calling ahead. I have had only one bad experience where my nail polish crinkled after I got home. I returned and they were happy to fix the problem. I recently brought my grandmother with me so we could both try the new nail dip method. It turned out amazing and I was very impressed with how respectful and kind they were to my 92 year-old grandmother. I came in yesterday morning right at 1030 am and they were busy!  They asked if I could come back in an hour and I said ok.  You gotta know this is my favorite place to go and as of lately, I ve usually gone to them.  However yesterday....I come back, my husband and i.  They are still a little busy, but tell us to sit in a pedi spa and we do.  They run the water and put the blue soak in and we are talking.  I can tell they are behind but I didn't mind waiting a little bit.  My tech is finishing up a girl and the man is finishing up her mother and then moving onto an elderly gentle man next to me.  My tech moves to me and begins and then a man comes in and says...awww you guys are so busy!  He puts his hands up and walks away.  He comes back 2 minutes later with a woman....my tech asks if I could wait another hour because they have an appointment!!!  Why did we sit down and soak for 20 minutes if they knew an appointment was coming?  I was a very good customer here for years but this was really stupid. My experience was terrible. I opted for the gel top coat over regular Polish. As I walked in there was one of the techs small child there who played on a computer with a the volume all the way up. A very loud annoying kids game and when she wasn't doing that she was rolling around on a scooter or crying a temper tantrum. Now I understand some people think this is cute but I have a three yr old day in and day out and I go to the salon for some me time and a 3 yr old screaming isn't what I want to hear. Between her rants, the computer, the scooter, the TV and the language barrier I was on overload. That was just the start. As I finally was invited to sit down another customer came in for a repair on a just done nail job and she left me sitting there with no apology for about then she answers the phone as soon as she sits back down and stops again. Then something with a pedicure. OK finally we get to it. The fill in looks horrible. Flat spits all over. It's too wide and goes over the sides. Which she never fixed. I had to file down the sides when I got home. Then one of the nails didn't dry and smeared. Had to be redone. So I think I'm done and walk out. Nope. All my nails are tacky and no shine. I get out of my car and go back in. The guy yells something and "fixes" it. Now it's shiny. But ridgy. I leave. An hour later the messed up nail is bubbling and getting dings in it. I try to smooth them with my finger. The entire top coat slides off!! Now I have to go back and get it fixed! Not happy. The other nails are bubbling now too. I hope I can revise this review to reflect that they at least stand by their work.Read Less

Just your average nail salon. When we walked in their weren't many people so my mom and I were able to just transition from sitting in the seating area to the pedicure area. I had a older lady doing my toe nails and she wasn't the most friendly person at all. I tried to joke with her, she smiled and then went back to my nails. The guy that was doing my mothers nails was really nice and was extra willing to make her happy. She changed her mind last minute that she didn't want the color she had choose previously and he had no problem getting up and looking for the one she wanted. My little cousin came along as well and he sat in the chairs watching TV and one of the guys went and gave him a piece of candy! All in all they seem to be really friendly and my nails and mothers nails came out lovely, so I would go back. Their pedicures are $20 and their mani and pedis are $35. Read Less

This place was horrible. It's a small place so I understand that there may be a wait but with 2 people in front of me, and plenty of staff, waiting over an hour was a little much. Once I got to the chair, I waited another 40 minutes, and my water ran cold. When someone finally came over, I had probably the shortest pedicure of my life. Barely any massage, toenails were uneven, and my feet feel no different than when I walked in the door. I also think the customer service leaves something to be desired. Decent prices, and it's a clean establishment. Having said that, the customer service is crappy at BEST. I've gone in there three times. The first, I had no problems...but then, I was seventeen years pregnant and just glad that someone was rubbing my feet. The second time, I agreed to have my eyebrows waxed after my mani/pedi. They took such a long time doing the mani that I had to leave to be on time for another appointment. Even though they had not prepared for the waxing when I told them I didn't have time, they went from all smiles to super pissed without passing go or collecting $200.  Then they started talking about me in another language, which normally I ignore...unless the tone makes it clear that I'm not being called anything remotely polite. Then I get kind of pissy. My third visit was today, and I got a pedi and a gel shellac manicure. The young woman who had done a fabulous job on my pedi was pushed out by an older woman who opted to do my mani. She didn't speak to me once, skipped all of the lotion/hand scrubby goodness, and did a half-assed job.  When the man added up my bill, an extra six dollars made it's way into  the total (and wasn't part of the tip). And the same man hit my sister in law with a fly swatter because he, no joke, said he "had to take the opportunity to get the fly". I'm over this place, and I won't go again. It's not worth the rudeness. Hoping for a nail tech that doesn't stare at me like she wants me to die in a house fire is more intense than I'm looking for in my nail experience. Read Less

A friend and I went in on a Saturday afternoon and while there were only four customers (including us) and it took FOREVER to get our mani-pedis done. While the nail polish selection was decent that was about it.I was left soaking my feet so long that by the time a technician came to do my nails the water had gone cold. She did not cut my toenails straight so now I'm worried that I'm going to have ingrown nails. The "massage" part of the pedicure was awkwardly long and uncomfortable. When having our manicures done my friends technician was too rough with her cuticles to the point that she asked him to just not do them.In addition they had an inappropriate movie playing on the television. There was a lot of strong cursing and violence which is not a big deal for a couple of 20-somethings but if you are sensitive to that or are thinking about bringing a younger person with you it could be troublesome. Fancy nails did a great job on our pedicures!  My mom-in-law and I went to Fancy Nails over the weekend to get our toes done (and hopefully our fingers too).  We made a quick appointment over the phone and headed over.  We were greeted quickly and seated in the massage pedicure chairs immediately.  Our feet and legs were scrubbed, cleaned, and our nails were buffed, filed, and cut before painted to our colors of choice.  Our technician did a wonderful job and was very meticiulous about the paint.Overall, this place is a great value.  $20 for a pedicure, $32 for a mani/pedi.  My rating is based on the fact that we spent over an hour and a half just getting our 2 pedis done, so we didn't have time to get our manicures done as well because we had one technician for the both of us.  Also, while the salon appeared clean, the strong smell of nail polish / remover gave me a slight headache.Overall, it was a good experience though, and the value is well worth it!  Next time, I hope to have time to get my hands and toes tended to though! I went to Fancy Nails after trying another salon in the local area and not being very happy. Just relocated here and was nervous to try again. I went to Fancy Nails for the first time last weekend for a mani/pedi.  They have a large selection of colors with all different brands of polish.  The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as I stepped inside the door.  My nail technician (I want to say his name was Tony, but not 100% sure) was very detailed and made sure that both my manicure and pedicure were to my satisfaction.  It was $32 for both services which I considered a great deal for the quality of work and the professionalism they provided.  I did not feel like just another customer being rushed in and out of the salon as I did with other nail salons in Harford County.  Needless to say, I will be coming back!
