It was really nice inside.......but when they started todo my nails the first guy clipped my skin near my nail......then the other person that did the rest she made them look flat on top and while she was filing my nails and it started to burn my nail underneath........ then she started to paint my nails and did not do a good job at all still have some nail polish on my skin near my nails......if I could post pictures of what they look like I would but I can't very upset on how my nails came out.....and some are longer then the other. I went to a different place and they told me that they did a poor job on my nails and that I need to come back to the place where I got them done and get my money back.... Read Less

I hate to say it but I am over this place.  The service is haphazard. You never know if you are going to be treated like their favorite customer or some begging passerby.  I had made this my go-to nail salon but after a few bad experiences (painful ones with minimal customer service) during which I was simply on edge, awaiting the next assault to my poor toes, I am off to find a new nail salon. I normally love it here, but got stuck with someone I've never had before. He did the bare minimum... tried to send me on my way with a streaky mess. Asked him to add another coat. Still not perfect, but I don't have the time or patience to stay. Never asked how long or shape I wanted. I had to tell him to fix it when he decided to square my round nails. This is my new go to nail place. Nancy and Jason are experts with acrylic. I have terrible nails that peel and break and suck (spare me, I know acrylic doesn't help) but I'm kind of vain and I like having nice looking nails!Ever since my first visit about a year ago, Nancy has done an incredible job making sure my nails look natural and she listens when I tell her I like the nail to be thin and oval. Recently, Jason has also done my nails and he is the same. Really listens to what I want them to look like and my nails honestly look flawless every time I leave that salon. People are always so surprised when I tell them my nails are fake. They are never ever rude and the entire staff is friendly. They have tons of regulars and a huge variety of colors, especially gel! Their pedicures are also fantasticCompared to other nail spas, Village nails is second to none when it comes to acrylics, I've been to at least 6 other salons in the area and no one gets them as natural looking as Village. I was very exited to try this place because my friend raves about village nails. I unfortunately left rather upset. I purchased a pedicure that was fine. It was the manicure that made me leave unsatisfied. The manicure I purchased was the gel which is thirty five dollars. It was rushed by the woman doing it and I have polish on my skin and the coats are uneven. Someone later asked me if I painted them myself. I wish I could have had a completed service to give. A review on but I had to walk out after the technician doing my pedicure kept sniffling and rubbing her nose with her hands and then continuing to work on me. One time, maybe just an itch, and I tried to overlook it. But then she continued. On top of that, just before I got up, she rushed through a sub-par pedicure, didn't even file the nails or do any kind of scrubbing on the feet, heels etc., and she reached for the base coat. I had to ask her to do more work on my feet before polishing. Ridiculous. I tried to be quiet about it, to not upset anyone else, but another lady stared talking across the salon asking what I wanted. I just wanted a non-disgusting, complete pedicure. Another perfect day at the Village Nails & Spa (located in Mt. Washington).   I went there yesterday (Good Friday) as my nails were in need of a long overdue manicure and pedicure.  I also needed a day to relax.   This nail salon was so polite and gracious giving me extra time  to select my nail colors.   Huey was the technician who assisted me.  He is very patient, caring and a true professional.  My fingernails needed extra care because I type all day at work.  Huey understood and shared excellent advice on how to protect my nails during my work.    I really like this nail salon.  Each staff member is always polite, patient and caring.  The salon is always clean.  The footbaths are protected with sanitary liners.  The instruments are sterilized.   I have been a customer here for over three (3) years and have no regrets.    They even give each customer a beautifully wrapped gift during Christmas.  It is always a quality hand care item and a very special surprise.   The Village Nails & Spa truly cares about every customer.   God bless each of them.  They truly are among the very best. Do not spend ur money here!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! THE GUY DOING MY NAILS WAS AWEFUL! He rushed thru my pedicure even though I got the upgraded pedicure. He kept tapping my leg as a way to tell me when to put my feet up,down etc. Super unprofessional place. He used DIRTY instruments. MY MANICURE WAS WORSE! He filed my nails horribly and when I asked him to make one nail more round he just filed it too short! MESSIEST POLISH JOB I EVER HAD.He was sighing right in front of me like he hated his job. CUTICLES WERE NEGLECTED EVEN THO I ASKED HIM TO DO THEM. Then he went to the bathroom and never came out! The owner was sleeping in a pedicure chair and the girls were outside.... Well this was my first visit to the salon and I didn't know I had to make a appointment but now I know. I waited for 30 minutes, which wasn't bad since I was a walk-in. Jason did my nails and a young lady did my toes. Very satisfied with both, only thing is, my cuticles stay dry, so he should have put some oil on them once he was finished but I did when I got home. I was really disappointed. Really poor customer service, and I was not pleased with my mani or pedi. It felt SUPER rushed even though I got an upgraded pedicure. Wasn't even offered water or coffee or anything. During my manicure, the "hand massage" was the worst I've ever had. A few compressions of my palms, and twirling my hands around. That was it. It look less than 1 minute per hand. There was no cuticle oil. My cuticles looked ragged and uneven when she was done. Highly disappointed. Read Less

This is my favorite nail salon! I've been going to the Owner, Kathy for several years. I love that it's small and you get one on one attention. I also love that they serve wine, water and their is a coffee maker. There are located next to an amazing restaurant that I go to for Happy Hour before my appointment. Didn't live up to the hype. I know everyone loves this place BUT......my gel manicure chipped after only 4 days. I didn't pay $35 for gel for it to chip like regular nail polish. The service is fast and the people are friendly however I would not recommend for gel manicures. Read Less

This place is THE BEST.  I have been going here since September and they are so consistent. Always clean, friendly and helpful.  I get a gel fill and polish every time, $35 (with design $45)- it is worth every penny, always lasting 3-4 weeks! I make appointments, but if you go in the mornings you can easily walk in. After 3, make an appointment.  Everyone there is good, but Tammy is effing incredible SO good at shaping and design, I have never left disappointed.  One time I saw one of the technicians change the color of someone's nails 5 times before they were happy- no complaints, didn't charge extra, smiling and gracious the whole time.I just can't say enough positive things about this salon, they are simply wonderful:) Read Less

I hate when manicurists try to tell me how they want a French manicure to look. I'm the one that needs to look at it, so how about you do what I ask? I got no lip about it from Steve so that's 4 stars in my book right there. I also really appreciated that he took the time to remove my existing gel manicure, being really careful with the file to avoid scraping my skin. While Steve did a beautiful job, unfortunately, my gel manicure just didn't last. In less than a week, one of my nails had started to peel from the side of the nail bed. Just 9 days in, a massive chunk had peeled off another nail--and I'm careful. Other than washing my hands after using the restroom, or while in the shower, these badboys stay gloved and dry. No reason for a gel manicure to be peeling after 9 days other than poor product. Read Less
