I love this location! The Front Desk staff is always helpful. Daise is an amazing Nail Technician who really knows her craft and goes above and beyond for her clients. Sometimes it can get a bit chilly (even in the summer ) so be sure to bring a sweater. The icing on the cake would be the return of the Spa Membership program. Read Less

From the moment I walked inside I felt relaxed. It did not take long before a nice lady came to assist me. She guided me to where I'd  change clothes into something comfortable. She offered me water, tea, or coffee while showing me and explaining the area where I would wait for my esthetician, Carmen. I had seen Carmen on social media speaking about her craft and how much she loved her work. I was incredibly excited to meet her. She came in promptly at appointment time and introduced herself to me and went over what I would be receiving. As we walked to room, I felt completely at ease. The spa was light, the lighting comfortable, and it smelled fresh.Once we went inside room Carmen asked me to undress to my comfort and get under sheets. She stepped out while I did as asked. She gently knocked on door asking before completely opening "was I ready" or something to that effect.Her voice was soft and clear, her energy was relaxing, and her hands were amazing! She explained what she would be using and explaining the benefits. Her massage technique was phenomenal and it caused me to fall asleep 3 times, lol. As the time went by, I talked and she listened, and we exchanged convo about skincare, makeup, and life. She kept me engaged; Carmen remained professional the entire time.What can I say in short? I was extremely pleased to have Carmen as my esthetician. Her professionalism and warm spirit made my experience so much more lovely. I felt even better than I felt when walking inside Red Door. We were there for manicures and pedicures for 4 wedding-bound guests.  We were early, yet greeted warmly and treated like royalty.   It was a very hot day, so the warm neck pillows were a bit too much for 2 of us.   It would be gladly welcomed in January.   The salon was clean and the staff was professional.  Although I opted out of a pedicure (my feet aren't pretty), it was probably the best manicure I have received in a long time.  RuShawn (I hope I didn't butcher your name too badly), was kind, patient and friendly.  A week later, and my nails look like they did immediately after the treatment.   I highly recommend this spa for pampering and excellent service. Went yesterday to Red Door in Cross Keys for a mini Spa Day with my partner, something we like to do about once a quarter. We both received massages and pedicures. Though he said he enjoyed his massage, I've definitely had better. The pressure was lacking so it was more like a high priced rub down. The massage was also inconsistent, meaning one arm got more attention than the other. One hand got attention to the fingers, the other didn't. I actually had a small bruise on my upper thigh that the masseuse didn't rub past not once.. I simply left the massage room feeling unsatisfied, a feeling I've never experienced after a massage. Mediocre for Red Door and for massages in general. Our pedicures on the other hand, were great. Though my feet needed less attention than my partner's, Nicole and Denise timed it such that we would still finish at the same time. I like Red Door for its ambiance, something I have not found in Baltimore at any other spa... and, this experience didn't stop me in my tracks from continuing to look. Read Less

WORST HAIR COLORING EVER! I scheduled a balayage hair color process, with Jessica, and she did such a terrible job the first time I had to go back later that day to get t fixed. I will not go back.  It was a big disappointment.  The "relaxation room" was anything but: not well appointed, no lounges and poorly lit.  There was no steam room or any kind of water treatment amenities: just a single shower and ONE blow dryer. The technician from whom I got my facial was not impressive.... very, very slow and just gobs of goo layers, not pleasantly applied.  My granddaughter liked her facial much better than I, but when we went to buy some of the products they recommended to her, we were informed that they had no one who could help with the purchases?! Her technician had taken off one of my granddaughter's earrings and then lost it.  We asked the front desk to please find it.  They claimed to have checked, but I'm not sure they did.  They did not offer to replace.. just "too bad!"   I left my card and asked them to let me know if it turned up. The next day they called and said they had it.  Did not offer to bring it to me, mail it to me or any other convenience.  I had to take time out of my day to go by and pick it up.  No apology, no gift coupon or product...... no further patronage. This is the first time going to the location but I am a fan of Red Door Spa in general and this location didn't disappoint. I had a facial and pedicure and both technicians were very pleasant. I have sensitive skin and my technician did an excellent job. In fact I got compliments on my skin the next day which is new for me. I even booked  another appointment for the next month while still there which I NEVER do. My pedicure was nice and relaxing and very well done. You don't understand, this is Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, you get what you pay for.  Yes it's expensive, but they take going to a spa seriously, it's at a whole other level.  Plan ahead, this is no ordinary spa, you need to arrive 15 minutes early to get changed, put your robe on, and get settled in the relaxation room.  Pampering at this level cannot be rushed, so if you have somewhere to be, come back another day.  Expect a little up-sell, it's a part of their job, and you may even go home with something fabulous that you don't know how you ever lived without.  Nails:  I have a standing appointment with Anna and she is meticulous with her work.  I get the cream manicure for my natural nails and I always feel flawless.Waxing:  Aisha gave me a full leg, brazilian, and full face wax.  She is the best I have ever had as far as waxing goes, and I have seen it all.  She is very thorough and gets every last hair.  Aisha takes her time and gets it right.  This is as painless as waxing can be, she has a great technique. They use a very nice, high quality wax that doesn't pull the skin.  Highly recommended.   They take American Express, which is a plus in my book.  I am scheduled to have a facial next for spa week, and I am looking forward to it.If you want to complain about the price then you are at the wrong spa.  Save your money, come early, and relax, this is the best spa in Baltimore. I highly recommend Sharon for spa services and massage! She did an amazing job with the Rose Body Wrap.  Being from Chicago where Red Door Salons were all over the place, I am naturally a fan of the chain.  One of the reasons why I am a fan is because of the quality of service you get and the quality of the spa facility.  The waxing here is expensive, however the ladies will take good care in making it painless and doing a quality job on shaping your eyebrows.  I'm also a fan of the custom foundation in their makeup counter.  I believe you can only find these at the Red Door spas and salon. While it is expensive ($60/ bottle) it is totally worth it if you have never been able to find the PERFECT foundation.  If you were to tallly up how mch you spent trying to find the perfect foundation I bet it would have cost you more than $60.  Its worth the trip and the consultation time with the ladies here to get the right one.  Once you try a sample...you will never want another type of foundation. I agree with some of the reviews that this Red Door is a bit run down compared to the others, however this is still my choice for a Spa in the Baltimore Area. Read Less

I went here and I was on time to the building, but by the time I changed into their garments it went into my appointment time...by about 10 mins. So, I was supposed to get a signature facial, but due to the 10 minutes I used to change, they gave me the basic facial. I was disappointed, but I was okay with it since this was my first time. Everyone was very professional. I was greeted and asked if I wanted lemon water or cucumber water. I chose cucumber, it was tasty. The changing room has all the essentials a lady would need (comb, dryer, razors, etc.).  My facial was great. It was very relaxing and the ambiance of the room was very soothing. They did try to get me to buy their facial products, which I almost purchased until I realized, It was not in my budget since I was going on vacation the next day.  Afterwards they gave me a makeup refresher. That was nice too. I did purchase the concealer though. I couldn't leave without getting something...I need a retail therapist. Too bad I had no where to go after I had my make up done.  I am definitely going back again. I figure I work hard and owe it to myself. Read Less

To pay $210 for a 80min hot stone massage and the stones be cold! Really?! For that price you could get 2 decent massages anywhere else. I got a warm cream manicure here today and added $20 gel Polish added. The nail technician rushed through my pedicure and manicure and during while I was getting my gel polish, never bothered to wipe the gel off my skin. Not only was the filing horrible, the polish very messy around my nails but the gel came off of 3 nails before I even got home! For $47, this was pathetic!!! I know I added this last minute but if the technician wasn't familiar with the process, she shouldn't have done it.On a good note, (reason for the 3 stars (and not 1) was Tanya, my massage therapist for the stress melter ritual was amazing!!! I had a gift certificate that already had tip (20%) included for a package that I had purchased, but they recalculated the tip to reflect the actual price per service. I incorporated the tip that I had wanted to pay to the gift certificate and was told the increased amount was due to EXTRAS done during the service. I questioned the increased twice and again, was told it was for extras.I don't mind paying more, especially if the service was good, but I highly disliked the fact that the reasoning was not presented to me honestly.All in all, the Spa was incredibly difficult to find (not used to the area). Went through an office, down an elevator to get to the courtyard, to the spa. Although the area was nice, it the center itself looked a bit dated. Emily gave me a fantastic message and facial at the Cross Keys Village in Baltimore. It was extremely relaxing and couldn't be described as anything short of 100% professional. The Red Door seems like they go out of their way to make people feel comfortable and the ambience is quite soothing. I almost fell asleep it was so relaxing! The spa was nice, the relaxation room was relaxing and the cucumber water was refreshing. We were greeted and ushered into the locker room where we were given sandals and robes as well as a locker that you create your own code for - make it easy to remember as I almost forgot. Why the 3 stars? My best friend was called for her massage and I was told my tech would be there in a few. I was asked by 4 different folks if I was their client (I was the only one in the room). Damien, my masseuse, came in but had my name wrong which we figured out and I was on my way. I was given a choice of essential oil (lavender) which they place on a cloth by you - it was nice. I was asked if I would like any additional services such as hot stones for an additional $20.00 - that was on top of the $120.00 for the 50 min massage....The massage itself was great - Damien paid attention to the spots I listed on my form - left ankle etc. Which I appreciated. The 50 mins went by way too fast. Before I knew it it was time to leave for my pedicure. I was escorted back to the relaxation room, given a glass of water and offered sesame sticks and banana chips. I barely took a sip when the manicurist came in and took me right to the spa - I thought I was going to the locker room and when I realized I was going straight to the chair. I was given a towel to drape between my legs..... It was a bit awkward. Although my best friend was quite amused.So I had just been "draped" when the up selling began. Do you want paraffin, you should get this special cream, we can do this or that etc. Etc. Etc. You can buy this tool, you can get this treatment - it got annoying very fast and was so the opposite of relaxation. You should get a manicure, I will go check my schedule now...To hear all of the extra treatments my feet needed I felt like a hobbit! (for the record I am not - not that there's anything wrong with it)! Then it started about my fingernails... Which to be fair needed some maintenance - which is why I agreed to get the classic, warm cream one. I had to say yes to something!The pedi looked nice but felt rushed. Onto the mani - I am glad my bestie sat with me as I got it because I was getting a mani from the Queen of the Up Sell and needed the support.  At one point my nail tech left and came back with 3 products that would be great and I should also get gel nails and so on and so forth. I really get manis because I am lazy - my nails are short and I like to keep them that way. I did not want eagle claws.... It was also suggested I get my hair blown out and did my friend want a manicure too.There you have it that is why the 3 stars based on the service I received. Upon check out they have a personal basket of recommended items that were placed there by the techs that spent time with us. My best friend -Judy - had a $27 cream suggested for her.
